  1. "Dr Drugs" was a module for Superworld and Champion's, published by Chaosim(sp) in the early 80s. Don't forget Speedy and drugs back in the 70s. Young Justice and Robin are very good ideas, the new Teen Titans is ok. As for Buffy, the thing with the 4th season is that it was about high school kids getting into that big pond and adjusting. And the 7th season focused more on Buffy being a grown up working at the school then going back to school from the kids point of view (I wonder what happened to Dawn's two friends from the first/second episode). The current run of New Mutants has been pretty good. Gives the view point of some of the orignal New Mutants as well as a current set of kids. If you want to go back to the original Uncanny X-Men I'd suggest finding a copy of the Essentials volume. It's dated I know, but kids haven't changed THAT much since then. Also don't forget the fact that Johnny Storm (Human Torch) was actually supposed to be a teen when the FF started, probably about the same age or a few years older then Peter Parker.
  2. I just realized the other night the rats uniform on bugaloos is a SS uniform. Or at least look pretty close to Axis dress. and a lot of S&MK stuff can be used...Land of the Lost for a nice Pulp game (yes the original, the new one stunk)..Wonder Bug...Lost Saucer...Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (the Queens of Foci) Ok, bit tounge in cheek but oh well.
  3. I ordered it tonight from Gamer's Attic so odds are it'll be here this time next week. I can wait...heheh...
  4. Ok, it's been done before but who cares. If you want to start the characters out in Vertigo style game try picking up a copy of FABLES and take a start off game from that. Come up with an original adventure but have the players write up their ideas what what Fairy Tale characters might be like in modern day according to them. Most players should have a small idea of Fairy Tales so saves on you trying to explain some of the back story. And Enemy called the Adversary has taken over all the Fairy Tale kingdoms. In order to escape many fairy tale characters live in the Mundy (mundane) world. Even the animals are around, living on "The Farm" in upstate New York.
  5. Well first you must be a tortured writer who lived in England under Maggie Thathcher iron rule.
  6. I din't know if this is too late to state or not. The SWd20 book The Hero's Guide has write-up for the different styles of lightsabre combat the Jedi use.
  7. The Heather in Exiles used to be married to Mac, then married Wolverine later IIRC. And Sasquatch (Walter) was in a female body for awhile, taking over Snowbird's I belive.
  8. That or read Superman & Batman Generations
  9. OK, being greedy or whatever here but I'm curious Will there be a playtest copy? Yeah, I plan on buying the book, it's on my must have list (heck, been reading Legion on and off since 1980) but I have players chomping at the bit.
  10. They included it in several books. Most recently their Ships & Battles book. R&K & D20 complient
  11. ok, I may dig it nd the d20 version out next week and start on some things. That or work on he Golden Age game and give tabascojunkie nightmares
  12. Does anyone know or made any conversions from AEG's 7th Sea/Swashbuckling Adventures to Hero? Am consiering starting a game using the world, and the magic system can be a bit of a pain
  13. I have it Although is for D&D (The Basic, Expert Rules, not the Advanced stuff) I suggest getting a copy of Hollow World by TSR. Alston also write it and it handles the Hidden World scenarios pretty well.
  14. well if your using the nromal univrse along with what the Ultimate version can do then yes, he can do certain things without his visor, it's been shown that way since back in the 60s.
  15. DC did this a few years ago in some of the Superman books. Supe' took on an Authority like team by his lonesome and won. Have to look up the group & character names as well as the issues. I know it was around the War of the Worlds crossovers
  16. Aid and Drain for the fire increase/decrease
  17. IF you want them around during that time you could always play a few old tricks. 1 is that they're having problems of their own. Done often in WW2 games to explain why heroes aren't on the battlefront where they belong. They're around, just too busy to lend a helping hand. 2, for some reason or another they're not allowed in allied space. This could be because of treaties, magic isn't big enough in the area (but space being as big as it is could still have some pockets of activity). or (3) could just say they're around, they're doing things but the PCs are normal humans. What the Guard is doing is above them. The pc's may hear what the Guard is doing or at least rumors, but they'll never see one in person.
  18. March??? long way off from that August 2003 date (sigh)
  19. HeroGM

    TV Superheroes

Thunderbirds will be life action this spring/summer though
  20. What issue is the Star*Guard in?
  21. Ok, may be repeating people here but this is my 2 cents. To me the battery is just a special effect, no matter who really has it. Yes it is an object that can be taken away (remember that, so if you did write it up it'd be independent (IIRC). Also it should have invisible or "kept in pocket dimension" depending on who your writing it up for. I agree with the fact that the ring should be "REC only when touching battery" and just use the battery as an object without a write up. Not everything has to be written up for a game, can get old and tedious. Sure the Reff should go over it with the Player to see what can and can't be done with it and it kept in that context. OH, and also remember if your thinking of Kyle's ring it can do 3 things now...it keeps a small charge outside of the normal charge, can only be used by him or a family member, and IIRC it can create duplicate rings (or did he give that one to Jade/Stewart..don't keep up with GL that much)
  22. And don't forget Weapon X...an oppisite team whose missions are more bloody then the regular Exiles. For example helping President Tony Stark wipe out the Inhumans...destroying every remaining mutant (10) on the Earth after "the last battle"...
  23. If it hasn't already been noted they were voiced by the same people who do the Teen Titans. Think it's in another thread here. AS for Joker and them, the Joker, Amos Fortune (JLA) and I belive the Gambler (or the Joker posing as him) have all put together their own Royal Flush Gang.
  24. Mentalla, pg 73-74 of CKC and yes, it is a window
