Just a comment...info looks good, defently complete from what I remember of the playtest copy. My only complaint is there are 3 pages at the end of the PDF with nothing but header and footer text.

Re: How do you get players to role play in genre? I punish them by taking away Xp's. I normally toss 1 or 2 xps in as "in character" points. IF they don't play in character they don't get the points, end of story.

Re: Machanon, odd request They're both annoying putz's so would it make a difference? If I still had the champion's comic in question I'd have scanned it in and sent the link to him in private. That way the post wouldn't have been made public. There can be ways of helping someone without breaking the rules (bending them, possibly). And my reply was mainly ment to be sarcasam mixed with the truth. I've said the same thing on Trek-RPG's forums. We have no problem with other people's copyrights, just don't mess with hero's (or whoever owns the board). This is just my opinion but sometimes that seems a lil hypocritical you know? No, I don't want to see some of those threads I mentioned go away, they're a good read. And no offense was ment to the people that post or started them, they merely came to mind as examples when I posted.

And the Trek PDF is out the window since Paramount is VERY fussy about who prints what about their universe. All the pictures should be taken down of girls in catsuits, comics and heck, 3/4 of the Avatars have since they're copyrighted as well (and yes, I know mine is as well). Hopefully though they wouldn't take their FirstLook section and make it a joke though, and to be honest I can see Johns' doing a series. oK, this can go under Champion's or Non-Game discussion I know. For those who are intreasted and in the know Wizard's First Look article in the current issue has announced the return of Captain Carrot and the Amazing Zoo Crew. CC & the Zoo Crew was an anamorphic comic that ran bakc in the early 1980s and pretty much introduced us to animals as Heroes (ok, not counting SuperGoof or Bugs Bunny with the radiated carrots). The book will be an all-ages Vertigo title and will be written by Geoff Johns (Teen Titans and JSA) and drawn by Phil Jimenez (Wonder Woman, Titans/JLA, etc). The title will ship in August and be a six-issue mini-series. Is Duck Champion's far behind?

I've seen it for other games (L5R and BESM being the big ones) and yeah it's a big aid to bluebooking. The downside is though your paying for a notebook with nice graphics and charts. Once it's written in you (exp in pen) you have to go out and buy a new one. I'd rather pay my money to see an Alston worldbook or another good Hero book.

Re: Converting Amber Diceless to Hero 20d6 luck? Minor and major transforms are good. Use Power Skill as Pattern/Logrus Ability. Lots of the stuff they did was based on force of will Extra-Dimenensional movement, concentration, gestures? (must be able to move) usuable on others. I would require the characters to buy a 10 point perk to be either a family member or Amber or Chaos, without it they'll sizzle if they try to walk the patern. With the Broken Patterns (if you allow them) I might include Requires skill roll or Side Effect (that chance of falling into the crevice).

Want to see if this makes sense. According to pg 6 you take it up 1/4 for each step up on the table. The example given is 16 charges, a slot csts 4 (instead of 1) would get -1 1/4....wouldn't it be -1 1/2? 0 steps is 13-17, -1 step (or -1/4) is 8-12 and 2 steps gets into the 3-7 range (or -1 1/2). Or am I reading it wrong?

Re: What superhero character concepts are you tired of seeing? Mutants..I'm tired of them, overall. Characters used to have origins and a decent background. Too much muscles on characters. If you don't look like you just stepped off "muscle beach" then your not a superhero. And as an aside, changing characters to their anime counterparts. C'mon Sabrina the Teenage Witch just got over the whole "looking like MJH or the cartoon show" and then they make it into an anime comic. *bleh*

The shows air pretty late (12AM eastern) so may want to see which ones are going to air. Hopefully a few Electra Womand & DynaGirl as well as Wonder bug

Re: Dark Champions: The Animated Series Mobs are bigger bad guys then they are now with hits on each other. The Villians do have Themes, but they are are also low-powered as well, most being simple thungs. NO (stress NO) Mutants. If there are such things science hasn't identified them yet. Heroes can be almost as much of a threat as the bad guys (remeber batman threatening to throw people off roofs and carrying a gun?) Not only are the cars and tech retro but so are the fashions. Weomen wear fashionable gloves, men wear double-breasted suits. On the same token as Mutants, Radation accidents aren't big until the late 50s/Early 60s (outside of Government testing of course). Chemicals are big though as well as Magic.

Re: Speedster Concept and Creation Question you could also possibly do it with different levels along with an aid. Build your default "one dose" power. Then do +xd6 Aid (minor side effect) +xd6 more Aid (increases side effect, or does cumaltive effect) +xd6 even more Aid (Even more side effect damage counted as a near lethal dose) So you could do +2d6, +3d6, +5d6 for the 3 (or however many levels) of Aid, the more Aid he takes for his Speed Power the more side effect damage he ultimately takes. Same basis as I've seen some people do on Str (Where X points is normal End, +X pts is double End, etc) just basing it around Aid with the Side Effect causing damage to the person.

This tells me not to type certain things into the box (sigh). As I was saying some people have been using IFrames to show a page that has been put up elsewhere

What some people have been doing is putting the character up at another site and putting an tag in their post with the reference going to the page.

He's in the current run of Legionaire's and has been back in the book for the last 5-6 years or so.
