  1. Its a pretty rare circumstance that a non-flying brick grabs a flying-brick. That's probably the reason Steve didn't spell out the common sense ruling for this case in the books. Regardless, the rule above should override the general grab vs movement rules which are not superpower centric - they usually assume normal characters.
  2. From 6e2 page 26: Once he’s in position, use the basic “stopping moving objects” rules, above, to determine if he can get a hold on the object and start to slow it down. Typically, a character needs to have an appropriate Movement Power to stop a resisting object — a superhero who lacks Flight usually can’t Grab a flying object and use his STR to slow it down, since he has no way to counter its forward momentum. The GM may waive this rule in appropriate circumstances.
  3. I would try squeezing in a no range deflection slot and might be willing to cut something else if necessary.
  4. Superficiality he reminds me of Generator Rex. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generator_Rex
  5. Superman could still fly after being grabbed by the Hu... I mean Solomon Grundy. https://youtu.be/bnuqMyU9fIQ
  6. Can you paste the link in plain text? I can't see the video in my iPhone safari browser.
  7. Man of Steel was a Sci-fi alien invasion story featuring kryptonians. Unlike the MCU earth, this world is a little closer to reality at the beginning. There is no S.H.I.E.L.D equivalent. It doesn't start out as a comic book universe but rather sets the groundwork. I am saddened by the Snyder family tragedy and poor studio choice to make a last minute change of tone. I believe that an ultimately better movie would have been the result of a Snyder edit but I know I'm in the minority. I've also collected superman, flash. JLA and various other DC comics since the early 70's and I just don't see how they could pull the team building aspect off with a lighter toned story.
  8. Lockout is another option that wouldn't require using a Framework.
  9. Ultra and Multi slots became Fixed and Variable slots in 6e Multipowers.
  10. I'm not sure. I recommend looking at the various ERG-9 writeups here for possible answers. http://www.killershrike.com/charactermaster/CharacterGenreList.aspx
  11. I watched a test of a similarly constructed recreation of roman armor that performed very well vs crossbow bolts. It was a PBS show.
  12. The Palindromedarian Thread Necromancer strikes again! The original description reminds me of the random nature of how red kryptonite affects Superman each time he is exposed. I think a massive Transform and a basic random roll as others described would be the easiest solution.
  13. A nice option might be to show Autofire extra hits vs a single target.
  14. Well I don't understand what the issue is. If we are talking about Vanican magic as in d&d then a proper magic missile will be an even higher ap.
  15. Sounds like a good argument against hard AP caps to me.
  16. No I don’t think the names should be changed. I also think the utility of the D&D light spell is underappreciated.
  17. Is the obsession with Change Environment due to its name? Folks used to have similar issue with the Force Field and Force Wall powers until 6e changed their names to Resistant Defense and Barrier. While HERO's power names have always been pretty good placeholders for finding power descriptions, the names themselves shoud never take the place of the actual description or mechanics. Assigning a sfx based mechanic based on a placeholder's implied sfx is counter to how HERO was designed.
  18. What I object to is sfx arguments as a replacement for mechanical ones. I made an exception in this specific case and used the sfx argument for the benefit of the poster advocating the dispel approach to creating a light spell. I'm sorry that wasn't clear. I'm not as good at the irony stuff as you.
  19. I know your post was in jest.... But, My previous statement was about 'natural darkness' and applies to 'natural cold' as well. However, powers defined with a cold sfx are not natural by definition so are still subject to dispel unless inherent is purchased.
  20. It's not possible to dispel the absence of something else.
