Well, I'm not sure if this is strange enough to qualify, but I just finished a character Called Cyberdusa- she is a cyborg whose head is covered with extending cybersnakes that can allow her to see in 360 degree arc, have a bite attack that induces a paralytic venom into those affected, can be used for whip and grab attacks, etc. She also has enhanced strength, cyber armor and enhanced running.
  5. Re: Utility Belt MP No more points in slots than the cost of the MP, so if you have a 30 point VP, with the oif(-1/2) disadvantage, then no more than 20 points may be invested in slots, just a thought...
  6. Re: Pirates versus Superheroes Okay, while not the most serious of discussions, it has been fun(until Champsguy got involved at least), and that's the main point. But here's the thing- even if Piotr turned to human and stayed on the surface, what does he do now? He's in the ocean and while I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he's a strong swimmer, where's he gonna go? Swim to shore? Good luck with that... Have Angel fly him out? Maybe if they're within a couple miles of land, otherwise Warren will have to drop him or he won't make it himself.

Cyclops has knocked Collsus off his feet and if that little bitch can do it, than "Arrrr matey, the big tin boy be going over the rail". He isn't the Blob, he can be knocked off his feet and on a boot, where the whole thing is moving, he would definitely be easier to knock over, especially for those trained in ship combat. Above and beyond this, why mention Collosus at all? There are plenty of other superheroes out there that would be screwed vs Pirates but you focus on a very powerful hero. Why? Are you worried that less powerful heroes would actually be in trouble if caught in this situation.

  15. Re: Flash vs Touch As mentioned, it may well affect the character physically- add on a small dex drain possibly, as well as an inability to tell how hard he's been hit or how hurt he is- a form of dangerous Resistance, as a side effect, perhaps.

Re: Knockback on Coordinated Attacks From FREd, page 249, second column, 3rd paragraph, near the end: "If the knockback rule is being used, Knockback is determined normally, then added together." As far as from opposite directions, I know that past editions had a sample combat where Starburst and Crusader hit Ogre from opposite directions and the knockback is essentially added as damage if they equal and if one is more than the other, he takes the matching damage and whatever knockback is leftover, in the direction indicated...
  21. Re: Attacking from Behind If the GM is not going to be using those rules, just petition to get back the points spent on Defense Maneuver, did you get lvl II? If not, ask for those 3 points back to spend on something else, like a combat skill level
  22. Re: Hand Attack rules question Would work the same way as advantages on Hand Attack, wouldn't it? The first 8d6 from strength and MA would not do any knockback either, anything over double the HA would though... just what I would likely rule on that.
