  1. Re: Your "2012" Pet Gaming Projects Thanks for the character names. Out of curiosity, is the Purple Claw based on the '50s comic of the same name?
  2. Re: Your "2012" Pet Gaming Projects Congrats on getting the campaign going! The party sounds like a pretty intriguing bunch.
  3. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill And has the raw power to keep most heroes at bay. There was an informal group of magic-oriented characters who monitored the Spectre for a while, but that didn't last long.
  4. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares King of the Hill in Yellow King of Queens in Yellow
  5. Re: Are Thanos and Darkseid the Same Person? Neither is Ollie, as it turns out.

  11. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps! I know. I should have specified the 616 Marvel Universe.
  12. Re: Nighthawk's Rogue's Gallery The Champions hunt Mechanon, but I haven't found evidence of the reverse yet. Nighthawk's leaving could have easily made him a target for somebody like Mechanon, but it didn't work out that way.
  13. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps! I imagine it would depend on the individual. In comics, of course, it depends on the writer.
  14. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps! The comparison I like to use is Artie and Leech vs. Thor. The former are hated and hunted while the latter is (mostly) left alone. Even though he claims to be a god.
  15. Re: Do you consider Batman to be a Gadgeteer or something else? Works for me. Heck, the Atom was on his way out until the bomb dropped in '45. Interestingly, the Mayfair WW2 supplement makes a point similar to yours, with Atom and Wildcat getting props from Capt. Nazi for their skills.
  16. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread The Baltimore Comic-Con went well this year, but I'm exhausted.
  17. Re: What Have You Watched Recently? A bunch of films at Dragon*Con Cabin in the Woods - Fun, but not as clever as it thinks it is. Iron Sky - Fun, but not as over the top as it should have been. Green Lantern - Fun, but....not all that fun, really. Also watched a good amount of terrible anime; can't recall the titles.

  19. Re: The One, True Son of Krypton I won't. Beppo, on the other hand...
  20. Re: The One, True Son of Krypton "You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Hyper-Man again". Love the dog.
  21. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps!
  22. Re: Do you consider Batman to be a Gadgetee or something else? He also had a Bat-device for nearly every situation. These days, he's likely built on so many points he transcends any archetype.
  23. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps! Many, if not most, of the CU bad-guy magic-users are, which I suspect is deliberate.
  24. Re: You Don't Have to be Crazy to be a Superhero, but it Helps! I think others have said similar in this thread, but: In our world, yeah, it may well be crazy to put on a costume and fight crime. In a comic-book world, it might well be a totally sane response.
