  2. Re: Dirty Laundry It would scare me too. I wouldn't want it hanging around me unless it were at least PG-19
  3. Re: The cranky thread I can't log into Kickstarter. A few days ago, I started getting thrown off the web page with an IE error saying there were problems with the site. I deleted the cookies and went back in and found I could get around fine, even when the cookies got put back on my system. But when I try to log in, I get kicked out again. I've sent Kickstarter a message, and they responded with the generic account FAQ info, which I understand. I responded back saying none of that was the problem. I thought it might just be my rapidly deteriorating computer, but I just tried to sign on using my local library's computer (said library being where I am now), and the same thing happened. I'm thinking either my account's been corrupted somehow, or something in Kickstarter's recent changes - they've changed the look - is reacting badly to IE. Either way, it's annoying, as I have at least one rewards survey I can't fill out at the moment. Boy, that was long. Anyway, I should bail soon as I have to go replace the shaving razor I destroyed yesterday.

  7. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Just to show how opinions can differ, I'd easily put "Super Hero Squad" on the "Bad" list. I've never understood the appeal of that show. Something both Marvel and kid-oriented I'd put on the "Good" list would be Chris Giarusso's old Mini-Marvels.
  8. Re: Why Your Heroes Shouldn't Kill I've said it before, but I think it's worth repeating: The problem in this situation is not Batman, it's a legal system that won't adjust its views on the death penalty. In a meta sense, it's also a problem when your villains get to be extremely popular, but that's more of a digression from the topic.

  10. Re: Genre-crossover nightmares Joe Pesci gets his revenge on the '70s NY music scene in.... Talking Heads in a Duffel Bag
  11. Re: Kara Loft: Lost In The Sands Of Egypt Free Jeep too, though the boots would cost, according to the Skimwords link. Anyway, if this was Justice, Inc., The Indian Rubber Kid With No Name would be going through the paintings looking for blackmail material. My other characters would likely do the standard rescue, though Diabolus would probably put on her clothes and gear first.
  12. Re: The cranky thread My condolences, Hermit. I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts.
  13. Re: Eccentric but plausible ways a character could be rich?
  14. Re: The "Nice Happy" Thread Congratulations!
  15. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC Naive it may be, but I remain optimistic that at some point (probably for an anniversary issue) they will go back to the original numbering for those books.

  17. Re: The Good and Bad about Marvel and DC I think we got a preview of Krypto during the Krypton flashback in Action. It's definitely a different look, but I don't find it a problem. Still concerned about Blake. Not an out and out villain so far, just someone with different goals. I bet he's being set up as a contrast to Supes, like how Supes might have turned out in different circumstances. Fingers crossed.
  18. Re: Star Hero Nominated for Two ENnie Awards! Congratulations!
  19. Re: Characters from DC's Earth 2 - mostly 5e I'd think Power Girl and Huntress might be easier because we've seen much more of them so far. The Atom is getting introduced next issue as well, and they may get back to Terry Sloane one of these days.
  20. Re: The cranky thread The National Air and Space Museum has a special "Mars Day" planned for tomorrow. Scientists discussing the planet's makeup; folks from NASA discussing exploration missions; that kind of thing. Sounds like fun. I, of course, will be stuck at work.
  21. Re: Characters from DC's Earth 2 - mostly 5e If you want to free up more points, you could probably get away with dropping that PRE. I don't see Jay as a particularly imposing figure at the moment. Issues #4 and #5 are likely combat issues with the heroes vs. the recently introduced villain. Should be plenty of opportunity to see what they can do. Nice job. Looking forward to seeing more of these.
  22. Re: Acquitaine [PDF] now available. Money also officially placed where mouth is. Good thing I'm typing this, otherwise it'd be kinda awkward.
  23. Re: Destruction of public property, and dealing with the aftermath The players in the main game I ran were urban vigilantes and the power level was low enough that they weren't wrecking buildings at the like. They didn't stick around after a battle to take responsibility for the damage they did cause. In most of the supers games I played in, the power levels were higher and we had government or law enforcement backing. There was a higher level of accidental destruction but as long as it happened during the course of a legit assignment, it was handled. Sometimes a GM would have to remind players that it would be good for our reps if we helped with the cleanup.
