OK here is the proposed lineup of characters that players can choose from to play through the tutorial:

Blindside—Martial arts are great, but what if you could also turn invisible? (this is a placeholder for a "look what a cool idea you can build with Hero" character
Blurred Lion—The cat ears and tail don't slow this speedster down.
Dr Nope—Spiders might be creepy, but this character is just stylish with spider powers.
Princess—She’s little and she’s cute, but she can juggle Teslas and bounce bullets.
Red Raptor—A devastating fighter with deadly claws and fast healing.
Spellbinder—The eerie and awesome power of magic is at your command with this character.
Street Knight—Maybe just a mere mortal, but the gadgets and skills make all the difference.
Supernova—Flight is great, and blasting bad guys is fun, but that force field keeps you going.
Tank—Who’s big and strong and can take a ton of punishment?  Oh, and that blast is powerful, too.
Trooper—This power-armored character has amazing technology and uses it well.
Vulcan—Maybe he’s not really a god, but he can sure make and fix just about anything, and fight toe to toe with just about anyone.

I dropped the Captain America clone because I couldn't come up with a good one that felt reasonably unique (plus that would make 13 and some people are really superstitious about that still).  I could add in Crusader from Champions 4th, with a new name, and another (maybe a shrinker or stretcher?).  I really wanted to do a Magic Girl type character (from many, many Japanese comics and cartoons) but I couldn't get the build simple enough for our purposes here.

It's usually much smaller than what you'd see at a professional venue.

First off a sizable portion of the gate lives on campus so that's within walking distance. And if you're a guest of a student, you probably don't park at the stadium. You park near their dorm in guest parking and walk from somewhere on campus also.

Since for vaccination sites you want the parking capable of a steady flow with minimal walking involved, college campus locations are less than ideal.

Plus many of these on campus stadiums are in use while classes are being held. The football stadium is used by men's and women's track in many cases. PE classes and intermural sports are also held there. The stadiums on many campuses are in use for most of the day. Whereas the NFL stadiums are just empty unless some exhibition or concert is scheduled and most of those are cancelled this past year.

It also doesn't mean that any media outlet is required to give everyone a platform for their speech. The First Amendment only applies to government repression of speech. Fox News is a business that has to sell itself to survive. Their management has every right to cancel any program they believe threatens their business.

This is proving to be the only way to get contemporary media and public figures to consider the consequences of their actions. Hit them in their wallets.

Just to keep all our terms straight: Trump has already been impeached a second time. The House of Representatives submitted a single article of impeachment to the Senate, and did so while Trump was still President. What's up next is his second trial in the Senate.

The difference now is that many Republicans see Donald Trump as a liability to their own political futures, particularly if he's able to run for President again in 2024. Privately many GOP legislators are sick of the man. What I have hope for is that Mitch McConnell would agree to an anonymous vote on conviction, so that any Republican who votes to convict won't be directly targeted by Trump supporters when their reelection comes up. If senators take that tactic I think they'll get the necessary majority.

Yeah, if all you wanted was "how to play the game" rather than "how to build a character or know what these things on a character sheet mean" (powers, stats, skills) then you can get it to a few dozen pages.

I read an article on the Myanmar coup. It described the military's claims of election fraud as "Trumpian".

IMO, This sort of thing one of the reasons Democrats are going to lose in 2 years. This is what moderates are going to see. Good intentions turned into historical purity tests gone too far while there are real problems to be solved.

    Ugh.

I find I never use powers that have limited uses because "there might be a greater need for them later and I don't want them to be all gone".

And if playing a fantasy character, my character will still be carrying any non-healing potion at the end of the campaign that he started the campaign with.

I might as well take the Physical Complication: Tightwad for all my characters because if it's a tangible object, I don't want to use it up.

Oh, hey. While we're invoking works of fiction in our lawsuits, perhaps the Trumpkins can argue that all the election officials who say Biden won were under the Imperius /Curse from the Harryt Potter books.

If the Trumpkins are willing to pay me a lot of money, I'll produce an affidavit to this effect, based on my impeccable expertise with the supernatural. It would make as much sense as some of the crap they're citing.

I'd argue that Focus means someone needs to pick it up in order to use it.  Physical Manifestation means that the use of the power creates it, and then it's more or less independent until the power's duration ends or the Physical Manifestation is broken.

    I'd stick with Physical Manifestation.

In the interest of fairness, I'll just mention that scientists predicted coronavirus precautions would also diminish the spread of influenza, hence why the rate is so low. I suspect it's even lower in countries where precautions were more efficiently and rigorously applied. Speaking personally, I haven't had as much as a cold in a whole year. I can't remember the last time that happened, if ever.
