Re: Why do the Champions waste so much time being "good citizens?" It has to do with Psych Disads and the Hero-System time scale. Combats in Champions are brutally quick by television standards. What are ya gonna do with the other 5.75 hours of the miniseries ?

Re: Best genre to learn HERO system? I hate to say it, but Pulp. you have all the basics, and the goofy powers only come up once every so often. as opposed to Champions, where she's a mentalist, all his attacks are penetrating, and Mystic Boy only affects vs. Power Defense.

It even smells vaguely of salt and spices when handled, but there the resemblance ends. It is simply the focus for one recoverable charge, Prismatic Sphere. Re: Shunamitism you people might need to get out of your western mind-set, if only for a minute. or maybe read a non-game, non-rule book once in a while. think of a castle that has no heating of which to speak. think of your self as the king or chieftain. everything and everyone in the area is a resource, ostensibly which you own or upon which you can call . human bodies give off waste heat. we in our nice suburban houses rarely have to huddle together just for the heat. now you the chieftain could bang this girl if you wanted, yes. you do "own" her. this is not the point, if your little minds can handle it. the point is, if you take care of yourself you will live longer, and if you keep yourself warmer in winter, that's a big step. now if you smart guys say "build a fire", then realize this custom originated where wood was a rare commodity, not a trifle like in North America. Think on these things, and be wise. This concept is just generally not a western or european idea.

The Proto Mech is a wonderful battle suit. it is a pleasant emerald color, semi-translucent. its an all-in one design, with a bubble helmet, so it looks old-fashioned, but that's an illusion. It protects the wearer almost perfectly, and gives full life support. it can expand or contract to fit any size wearer, even with size alteration powers. there is a ziploc type function in the back where the wearer slides in Nearly all of the users personal powers can be transmitted through the suit, but at 5% reduced efficacy. this is assumed to be the recharge method, as the suit costs no END, and it has a wide variety of functions: It provides wonderful armor 44PD/36ED, regrettably not hardened. it protects the wearer: 32 Pow Def, 28 Ego Def. and 12 Flash Def all senses. But it has no enhanced senses for the wearer, except magnification or telescopic visual. but it does provide swimming, superleap, clinging, and 8d6 extra hand attack. Kbk Resistance and stealth also come easily while wearing the suit.
