  1. I hardly use the Perk at all. In my opinion, if you have, say, Bureacratics or High society, you have friends in high places. If you have Streetwise, you have friends in low places. If you have Paramedics and a PS:Physician, you are a medical doctor and do NOT need to buy a "Perk" to do the job you're obviously qualified for - and you will know other doctors. If your background includes a lot of travel in the Far East and the party is going to Hong Kong, you will have old acquaintances in Hong Kong. Also old enemies, so no, I don't see a point to charging points for such connections. Also also, your friendly connections are apt to want favors from YOU or need help with something you can help with - so again, no, I don't agree with charging points for them. Lucius Alexander Contact: Palindromedary?
  2. In my experience, PRE attacks are loved by players but not generally all that effective. Lucius Alexander The palindromedary wonders if suddenly vanishing could be an absence attack.
  3. According to the article, they actually DID put a ferret in a particle accelerator. Lucius Alexander Has not yet tried putting a palindromedary in a particle accelerator....
  4. I am sorry, that's what I should have said, yes. Use the Locations as your "Activation roll." That as I understand it is the "official" way it's done. Lucius Alexander Getting a bard for a palindromedary
  5. Who takes an extra 2d6 STUN every time you hit her, against which she has no defense. Lucius Alexander She would probably faint if a palindromedary tried to bite her.
  6. I probably should have made that Incantations only to Activate. Lucius Alexander Palindromedary only to activate Tagline
  7. It's a sword. It's meant for killing. Autofire means if it rolls and hits by more than 2, it hits twice. Being insubstantial is no defense Neither is being astral or ethereal. It's a bastard sword, requiring STR 9 if used two handed, STR 12 if used one handed. Designed to be lethal, it has a reduced STUN multiplier. To employ its arcane properties, certain words and phrases must be spoken in the Ulronai tongue. If not so addressed, the blade's spirit will not cooperate with the wielder. Between the sword's own length and a competent swordsman's ability to lunge, the weapon has 2 meters of Reach. The sword has a +1 OCV If the attack roll is made by 4, not only do you roll damage twice (autofire), the first damage is rolled with another 1d6 of Killing damage added in. If using two hands, gain a +1 for either OCV or DCV due to better control. Lucius Alexander

Often told she must choose one discipline to excel, she has proven despite such advice to be able to rise to the top in both fields. Personality/Motivation: If it doesn't have a bearing on one or the other of her overriding obsessions, she neither knows nor cares much about it. Grace Paxton wants to bring beauty and harmony into the world, and is profoundly averse to destruction or violence. Quote: Please, no shoving! Everyone will get an autograph if you are just a little patient and civilized! Powers/Tactics: Can be surprisingly evasive once convinced that someone truly means her harm, but has no offensive capabilities at all. Campaign Use: Try to keep her out of the line of fire - she's pretty fragile. Appearance: Petite and slender, Grace Paxton looks like the helpless waif she is. 11. Korean soaps apparently include something called https://www.google.com/search?q=korean+soap+bar&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiv4Neqx-fhAhUEnawKHaGMDWoQ_AUIDigB&biw=1366&bih=654 Shillalah Snail Soap Bar (made from snails or used to wash snails?) And Korean pops include https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_soft_drinks_by_country#South_Korea a drink made from mushrooms. So.... Snail Soap Bar: Made from snails, or meant for washing snails? Lucius Alexander And what if I wash a palindromedary with it?
  12. Have you seen Cygnia and Sally field in the same ballgame? Lucius Alexander Have you seen my palindromedary
  13. I don't think he thinks that. No. It doesn't. Thank you, now I don't have to say it. I do it all the time. Lucius Alexander Just ask the palindromedary
  14. Q: Does Squaresoft's new Disney Princess game look a little too rodenty for some reason? A: That's just Goofy! Lucius Alexander This is just a palindromedary
  15. First of all, which edition are you using? The costs seem to me to be for 6th but the format seems to be for 5th. "20 BODY 10" Why? "Can Only Teleport To A Spot Where He's Touching His Staff (-1)," In what way is he actually limited by this Limitation? "18 2) Summon 35-point creatures, Reduced Endurance (1/2 END; +1/4), Slavishly Devoted (+1), Bo From Another Dimension (+1) (23 Active Points); Unified Power (-1/4) 1" I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do here. If you have defined the staff as a Physical Manifestation, it appears whenever the associated Power is used. It doesn't NEED to be "Summoned." "10 5) Stutter 'Port: Running +8m (12m/20m total), x4 Noncombat (13 Active Points); Unified Power (-1/4) 1 34 6) Desolidification , Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2) (60 Active Points); Requires A Roll (14- roll; Must be made each Phase/use; -1/4), Linked (Stutter 'Port; -1/4), Unified Power (-1/4)" I just wanted to say this is some good creative thinking here. You do understand though that this means you can't attack while the Desolid power is in effect? "4 Atemi Strike -1 +1 2d6 NND" In practice, in superheroic combat, I think you will find this maneuver to be wasted points. Even against street thugs it's usually not going to stun them. "1 WF: Staffs" You don't need this for weapons you pay points for. This is only useful if you expect to pick up and use any staff lying around. And may not be necessary in a superheroic game even then. Lucius Alexander Weapon Familiarity: Palindromedary mounted weapons
  16. No, if you want the knife to be throwable I think what you need is a Naked Advantage: Limited Range, with Lockout. Lucius Alexander Puzzled on a palindromedary
  17. I would just buy Resistant Protection, and use the Requires a Roll Limitation for the "covers only certain parts" part. Lucius Alexander Getting barding for a palindromedary
  18. I suspect that Hero Designer does not distinguish between STR Min 4 and STR min 8. Lucius Alexander The palindromedary is also surprised to see "Beam" as a Limitation on a hand to hand power....
  19. Q: Are you pondering what I'm pondering? A: I think so but....you know she's never going to leave Mickey Lucius Alexander And that bicephalous beast, the palindromedary

  21. I am sorry if you feel insulted. I had no intention to insult you or anyone. Lucius Alexander Nor I am sure did the palindromedary
  22. And it casts spells! Lucius Alexander The palindromedary asks if it can eat the visible?
  23. Palindromedary does mean something. Lucius Alexander And it doesn't mean peasantry or proletariat. Nor pachyderm or piledriver. Nor pantywaist nor pennypincher nor pumpernickel....
  24. No, but he did make a practice of double checking facts that "everyone knows." That a heavier object would fall faster was something just as obvious as that cats know but ignore their own names. Just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's true. In this case it turned out to be true, but that doesn't mean it wasn't worth testing. And for what it's worth, if I remember the article correctly, while many cats know their own names and choose to ignore them, some of them seem genuinely to not know their own names. Lucius Alexander The palindromedary thinks those cats are just extra good at ignoring but isn't sure how to test that.
  25. Teapot, thanks One lump vs Two? Lucius Alexander The palindromedary says one, the backandforthtrian says two, but I think they heard "hump"
