  1. Re: Definitely Image is not owned by DC Comics. Wildstorm is now owned by DC, but WAS an Image Comics imprint. Just like Top Cow is an Image Comics imprint. Basicly, the imprints are indipendently owned by certan creators, and Image acts like some sort of broker or something. And as for the conflict of 'who owns what charater' for the new, non-existant comic...would be Hero Games/DOJ Inc. Why? Because, simply, thay own all the charaters used. How? Because DOJ Inc will tell them which charaters thay can use, and which charaters thay can not use. Chances are, there will be no stats in the back of the book, or anything like that. Then again, this so called "comic book" will be as likely to happen as a Champions Game Boy video game. It sounds good, but the Magic 8-Ball says "Keep Dreaming, Fanboy".
  2. ISE: Internatinal Science Eleat, a group of crinimal scientist types which design weapions and other super-tech devices for the crinimal underworld. Dr. Kerby Loo may be a menber. (Group dosen't realy exist in CHampions 5th, and was proably replaced by ARGAT). RAVIN: Unknown...proably not a true acronim. My guess is the Royal Arcave of Villians INternatinal (but that IS my guess). Talen: Another agent group I am creating (look for it in an e-Enimies book). It has no acronim (Unless you think up one sutibul for an orginzation secretly ruled by an alien force who wants to strip the Earth of all it's resorces, using humans to do so. I based this group loosly on Galactor, from Gatchman). Genocide: Another not an acronim. Replaced by IHA. IHA: Insitute for Human Advancment.
  3. And another reasion why Hero Games is NOT going to do any writups of the Guardians is because of Dennes Mahony. Because he basicly said "I can do theas charaters better than Hero Games can." Did you notice that MOST of the Guardians are now renamed? Marksman is now Huntsman. Rose is now Psychee. Ect... Have you wondered why? It is because the creators of thoes charaters withdrew the charaters and sacked Mr. Mahony with a 'ceast and dismiss' order. So, in order to keep using the charaters, thay had to be renamed. With the exception of Foxbat, which went swimming in Jusinkyo to become The Flying Fox. This is not to say I hated the comics. On the contray, I extremly liked them. But let's face facts...there is a reasion why Heroic Publishing is no longer doing print comic books. Now, I wish someone would do a new Champions series. DC or Image, prehaps? To avoid legal problems with Marvel (which ownes the name Champions for comic books), set it sorta like Astro City and call it Champions Universe. That way, we don't need to pin the comics to the Champions team exactly.
  4. I beleve the reasion we will never see the 5th Edition stats of any of theas charaters is that Hero Games/DOJ Inc. dosen't own the charaters at all. Bruse Harlick owns Marksman (which is proably the reasion we got his stats when Bruse was head guy at Hero, durring the Fuzion Years), Glen Tharn owns Icestar, ect. As for explnations...I can give a few vage explnations. Dove: A man traped inside an alien suit of battel armor. Best knows for his force field and high Presence with the limitations Only For Attack, and Only To Look Heroic. Dove got lots of press and fan mail. Flair: She is an energy projector (light), and one of four children made as a Nazie experment in the years after World War 2 (with Nazies hidding out in South America). One draw back to the prosses is that she starts to age faster than a normal human. Is proably around 60 years old today (if you think she was 10 when she joined the Guardians, and looked about 20). Icestar: Heroic mutant energy projector (ice). Killed by Doctor Destroyer at the Battel Of Detrot. Known for his layed back manner, is a pratical joker and a ladys man. Unknown to him, his main girl friend, Cyntha Woo, is secretly his arch enimie, Madam Synn. Gargoyle: Brick who tooked a chemical which alowed him to change (same cemical as Gremlin). Fought with Flair when she first appeared, and was put into a coma which he has yet to come out of (was reduced to a very high negative Stun). Golith: Was called Giant in the Champions Comic Book. Man who found a mystical belt made by the Gods of Olimpous, and granted the ability to change sizes. Was, in reality, the second Golith (first one fought in World War 2). Marksman: Martial Artest/Gagetear. Also has some sort of mutant factor which reduces his aging. The man with the Sonic Pistols. Nuff Said. Rose: Beleved to be the reincarnation of her grandmother (was born the same day she died), Rose is a mentlist with a mystial bent. When she uses her powers, thay smell of roses (hence, her hero name). In love with Marksman. Had Icestar's child (in the Champions Comic Book).
  5. This is a great ideal, Susano. Of course, it would be an e-book (And I hate e-books. I don't even have a copy of your Anime Hero artical because I don't have the cash to buy a Digital Hero subscription, AND go over to Kinkos and spend on computer time and printing costs, seeing that I am just a humble utility clerk...). And, yes, I would put the ideal on the backburner till some more stuff gets released. Which reminds me...do you know that there is going to be a d20 version of BESM? Scairy thought.
  6. Humm...some theam villian ideals. Boss Kong: A mobster who's brain was removed and implanted into a body of a gorilla (as it was said before, science and magic were not as clear cut as it is today). Mister Macob: A hodded figure which rules the underworld, and is obsesed with death. Tends to have his hideouts in cemitarys and funeral parlors. Uses death-traps based on cremation and burring alive. Sometimes uses weapions based on the 'death' theam. Father Time: A ordinary crook who discovered a magical hourglass which alowes him to do limited time control things. Dones an robe and old man makeup, and robs banks as Father Time ("The Many Crimes Of Father Crime!"). Lucifer Morningstar: A red haired 'sientist' with an evil bent (so evil that he had his title profesor stiped from him). Most of the time, he seeks revenge for his lost title. Profesor DePower: A short, bald scientist who is obsesed with superpowers. Likes to 'steal' them using vareous inventions of his.
  7. Acualy, he is an assasion, and I mispeled Feet. Still, if you like the name, go with it. I'm going with Pieds Rouges for my martial arts assasion.
  8. I'm creating a group of three super-assasions based loosly on the children's ryme "Rub-a-dub-dub". The Living Weapion: The "Butcher" of the three. A man with incredable martail arts abilities. Firearm: The "Baker" of the three. A man who can shoot flames out of his right stump (he acadently burnted off his right hand). Waxman: The "Candlestick Maker" of the three. A man made of living wax. The question: What do I call this group? There not a real team (thay take turns trying to kill the target, and compeats with each other, but are friends), but are hiered together all the time for jobs. Thank you.
  9. For Iceman's new forme, basicly it is a special effect as far as I know. Prehaps the power Desolid best simulates the T-1000 liquid metal and Abyss' liquid body (prehaps with Shapeshift).
  10. I think I might use "The Gold Standard", just because. I already writen up Goldbug, Goldbrick, and Goldenrod, and I am working on Goldfire (formly Goldray) right now. That leaves Goldmind and Goldrush (decided the group needed a spedster). Anyone remember the names of the original members of "Project: Gold" (both real and super names)? As for the other team...The Imperative sounds intresting. It also hints that something is not right (since, if you think about it, that name is not what a bunch of mutant superteens would call themselves unless there is someone older pulling the strings).
  11. Basicly, Team One is a bunch of kid mutants learning to use there powers, and have a slight villnous bent to ther personality (like the Hellions from New Mutants). It dosen't realy help them that thay are being maipulated by Headmaster to basicly feed his ego. Headmaster wants to use the team as pawns to rule the world, but right now, has to track down and "perswade" more mutants to join his "school". Team Two: Midus' Touch sounds campy...which is just in line with the group. But I don't want to give away the secret idenity of the group leader in the name (Goldbug is board millinair Midus Mercery, a perfect supervillian secret idenity name). I wish I knew what Auric means...but it sounds like a better name.
  12. I'm thinking of creating a french martial artest/underworld assasion, who is a master of Savate, and wears bladed boots. I like the name "Red Feat", but what would that be in french? His costume is all black, except for his red boots and blood covered blades.
  13. I am curently stuck on names of two supervillian teams I have created. Team One: A group of five mutants (so far) operating out of the Ortaga Insitute For Higher Learning. Curently going by the name "Ortaga Insuitute" in my notes. The members: 1) Headmaster: Headmaster of the school, and a mutant mentlist of moderat power. Dosen't acualy go on missions, but uses his mental powers to check up on his students. 2) Forcer: The team leader of the group. Able to fire beams of force, and also able to create a force construct (Summin). 3) Hexen: Proability manipulator who thinks she knows magic (and only plays along with this 'mutant' stuff, even thoe she realy is a mutant). Has a crush on Surge. 4) Pantera: Headmaster's neice who has huge claws, and an animal attitude she can bairly control. Also has a crush on Surge. 5) Surge: Former street punk, curent reble of the group with electrokinetic powers. Team Two: A group of superbeings created by the millinar Midus Mercery to be his pet supervillians. Curently in my notes as "Project: Goldteam" (and was inspiered by Project: Gold, an old Adventer's Club supervillian team designed not to be able to take what thay dish out). 1) Goldbug: Midus Mercery, in a suite of power armor. Leader/Owner. 2) Goldbrick 3: The third person to take that name, he is a 'brick'. 3) Goldenrod: A martial artest who is to depended on his weapion (a gold colored rod). 4) Goldmind 2: The second person to take the name Goldmind, she is a mentlist. 5) Goldray: An energy blaster who is able to shoot golden colored lazer beams.
  14. I love the supervillian team and all, but what, exactly, does "Geodecent" mean?
  15. Life Suport for a vehical is difrent than Life Suport for a human. The Life Suport repersents what enviroment a vehical can work in without major problems. Think about it this way...a can needs to eat (fule...gasolien), needs air (exhast), and needs water (radiator, to cool the engin). This, a car is like a person...well, almost like one.
  16. Hear is one about snezing (an Japanies proverb). "Sneze once, someone is talking about you... sneze twice, and there saying something good (about you)... sneze three times, and there saying something bad (about you)... sneze four times, and your catching a cold." (About an old japanies wives tale about snezes and rumors)
  17. Re: The Santa Claus Gang Reminds me of a villian team my old GM, Dan Conway, sicked on us. Thay first appeared calling themselves the Raindear Raiders, on Cristmass Eve. Later, thay changed there handle to Demolition. The Members: Master Blaster (Rudolf): Power suit with an amazing aray of lazers. Is the leader of the team. Lovejoy (Vixen): A female with phnonomin based mind control, only vs men. Highstept and Lowkick (Dancer and Prancer): Mutant twins, master martial artest speclising in kicks. Also, thay suffer from the Coscigan Effect (hit one brother, harm them both). Thoes were all the members which stood out in my mind. There are about five more members (9 total).
  18. I might as well chime in. The Genetic Warlords: A group of mutent teen street gain members. Brainchild (posably to be renamed Proto-G...thanks Steve for taking that name): A 13 year old mentlist, who leads the team. Drive-By: A speedster with an AK-47. Big G: A brick with tons of KB resistance. Looks: A beutiful teen girl runaway with an aura of inocence around her. People have a hard time hurting her because of it. "Bruce" (AKA Bruce Leroy...I got to think up a better name): A martial arts fan with a mutant ability to copy anyone's fighting style (VVP, only for Martial Arts Abilities, and a gereric martial arts style with lots of manuvers in it).
  19. Nu, have you seen my artical in Digital Hero #7? What do you think? (I know it's a bit off topic, but I'm shure you katana and bokken boys will love it).
  20. Yes, defently watch as much serials as you can get your grubbie littel hands on. Why, you may ask? Well... 1) Thay show you how to set up a good clifhanger. Just remember to leave the heros (and prehaps the pritty leggy NPC damsel) in a bind until next week. 2) Thay give you ideals on action sceens. 3) Thay give you ideals on deathtraps. Especaly the sound era serials, since many of them went away with the simple girl tied to the train tracks/buzzsaw, and done some new things. 4) Thay give you the ideal of how, fitunaly, that erra was like. The same can also be said about comic books and pulp magazeens of the time period, of course. Steriaca.
  21. What? No being ran over by a train? No tied to a convator belt hedded twords a buzzsaw/disintgator field/oven? At least we sorta have a few flooded rooms (shure, filled with pistacho pudding...but the room is still flooding).
  22. I have created a villian who based his 'style' on bad melodrama villians. His name is Mister Wicked. Now, the great questions of the moment. 1) I already defined a coil of rope for him as a Entangle, 2d6 2 DEF, OAF (coil of rope, -1), Real Weapion (-1/4). This is enougth to tie up normals. He has no real plans to go after super powered targets. Should I up this amount anyways? 2) How would you build a cloth gag? Images VS Voice? Entangle with the Stops Voice Sence adder? Another way? 3) Would you leave it up to the senerio to give him a near-deathtrap to put the damsel in distress in, or should he have a "deathtrap" VVP? Thank you.
  23. Nope, cause Tunneling is not an attack power. If you can make it Usable By Others (as Attack, +1), then it might be able to be Damage Shield...if your GM accepts it.
  24. Re: Not bad Ya want a bad group name. Try MetaGuard.
