Maybe it'd work, but it feels wrong to me.

Right now...and it's not locked in stone...I've got  HRRH with Discrim, Analyze, Rapid x100, Targeting, Tracking, and Telescopic x24.  (MegaScale, you say?  It's 43 points without the Telescopic right now.)  Telescopic x24 means no range mods out to 30 km.  I may include levels...the issue with Mind Scan trying to find one particular mind in a sea of minds, feels like it's a clean, sensible approach to use here too.  Finding one particular cell phone or radio operating in the middle of Yellowstone, should be a HECK of a lot easier than one in Times Square on New Years Eve.

Plus, the sheer size of 6E is already an issue...look at the whole "is 6E too complicated" thread.  There's no consensus, but it's also got support for at least saying "in some areas, yes."  Much of the material in APG is fairly narrow/specialized/niche somehow...which means, not that useful in the core work.

Finding anything in the PDFs is already a PITA without adding a lot more text.  Now, if 6E can be edited, revised for cleanup on some things, and certain things reconsidered (I think Damage Reduction is notably overpriced, for example)...and reorganized in HTML...then the length issue becomes irrelevant.  "Special cases" can be a link to discussions like (I've got APG I open) Damage To Subject, under the skills rules.

    WOW.

Washington's up 9 late.  Texas moves the ball, Sark kicks the FG with about 1:10 late.
Onside kick fails, but Texas does have 2 TOs.  On 3rd down, a bit of a freak play...the Washington RB gets a somewhat gimpy leg twisted kinda wrong during a tackle.  He's got to be helped off, and left the field after the game on the cart, unfortunately.  This means its a time out for Washington...the LAST thing they want.  So, it's 4th down, they have to punt with about 50 seconds left.

They have a false start.  Lose 5 yards.
They get the kick away fine...the Texas returner calls for a fair catch.  A Washington player just isn't watching, he's simply getting WAY too close.  The return guy takes a step to the left to line up the catch...and the Washington guy interferes.  15 yards.

Now Texas gets a couple big plays and BIG catches...and get it all the way down to the Washington 15, with about 15 seconds left.
First down, short gain in the flat, receiver scuttles OB.
Second down, good pressure, Texas QB has to throw it away basically.  5 seconds left.
Third down, more pressure.  Texas QB has to ditch it.....and does so JUST in time.  Ball hits the turf...with 1 second left.
Fourth down...one more play by the Washington secondary, one last incompletion.

    Washington holds on, 37-31.

EARLY line is Michigan -4.5, but if the Washington RB's injury is bad enough to keep him out, that'll probably shift a bit.  It's their main RB.

    14-0 vs. 14-0.  #1 vs. #2.  Not common.

It could be.  But its hardly unreasonable to expect a character who could fly in Issue 17 to fly again in issue 18 when they encounter traps on the ground.  If this causes the story not to work, that's not because of unrealistic expectations of a reader, but poor writing on the part of the comic book.  Things have changed quite a bit, I agree.  Back in the Silver Age, readers were less interested in continuity than gee whiz fun.  Today, people have read, and played games, and talked about it and won't put up with what readers used to.

But I don't really call that a problem for anyone but lazy and unimaginative writers.

Yeah he had 6 character sheets: one for each element and one for his normal form which was sort of a ninja.  Unfortunately because of the way multiform worked in 5th edition (and as far as I know still today) basically he ended up with 6 different characters all of whom are weaker than every other character in the game for the dubious advantage of variety.  And since he had no control over which element he'd show up as, the advantage was even more questionable.

My issue with comics is the state of the art.  It's TERRIBLE.

In re crossovers:  yeah, especially now because you have to make a special trip to the comics store...IF there's one in your area.  This makes the crossover problem much more acute...took a lot of trips.  I think the overuse of crossovers may have had a general market depression effect...because you couldn't subscribe to 2-3 favorites and get the whole story, and subscribing to 10-12?  For 1-2 issues you wanted???  And last point on those lines:  you almost couldn't NOT stay current with them, because they were major shifts, if not complete resets.

EDIT:  side thought.  Is Trump going to accept ANYONE who's run against him, this time around?  I'm thinking...no, on the basis that running against him will still be viewed by him, as disloyalty.  We've got the reports that the #1, #2, #3, and #4 priority for his nominees will be loyalty.

The Maine Secretary of State rules that Trump does not qualify for the Presidential ballot, due to his role in the Jan. 6th events.  Turns out, it's how the Maine law works...it first has to go through the SoS's office, as the chief election officer for the state.

This entire election is shaping up to be ugly, in ways that transcend the normal electoral politics. The entire structure of the election is going to be called into question, if Trump doesn't win...he'll assert the whole process was poisoned, if he's not on all the ballots.  And in any state if he's excluded?  Oh man...nightmare.  Alternate selection of electors, election challenges, potentially CONSTANT objection to seating delegates when the time comes to certify the delegates. Absolute chaos.

I had a spreadsheet for character building...gosh, late 80s, maybe early 90s?  I forget.  Handled figured characteristics, managed Elemental Controls.  I think it derived net movement too.  OK, had to enter advants and limits by hand, but that's easy enough.

Yeah, it's like 6E contains the rules and all the commentary on the rules...wrapped together.  Which is a big part of why it's so wordy, altho another aspect is that it could desperately use serious editing.

EDIT:  on another note.......did we just forget about past offensive offsides calls in the past, and now, after the Toney play, they're sticking in our heads?  There have been...gosh, I dunno, 4 or 5 since then?  Another brought back a Prescott scramble for a red zone first down...  OH...I see.  Illegal shift cuz the receiver backed off after lining up wrong...that's motion...when another player was in motion.  OK, that's not common, but it's something we've seen forever, the WR backing off....

More info on just how incredibly devastating it was:
    https://www.wineenthusiast.com/culture/wine/wines-worst-enemy-phylloxera/

There's STILL no treatment.  This is probably one of the reasons why California has *seriously* restrictive laws about fruit imports, altho there are more recent pests.  But in today's terms, the damage would be in the multiple billions of dollars.

    For valuation?
    https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2007/09/03/the-jefferson-bottles

$157K in 1985 would be somewhere around $500K now...and actually, I'd tack another zero onto that.  Both the wine market...I could get *good* California Cabs for around $25 back then, they're $150 or more now...and basically all forms of collectibles have exploded in the interim.  Potentially less per bottle if you have quite a few, but a half mill per?  Should be fairly easy...assuming they didn't get trashed in the time travel.

It's also plausible to find Napoleon cognacs...as in, Napoleon I ordered them.  THOSE would go for insane bucks.  Remember that this voyage was one of THE events of the day, and the first class passenger list was glittering.

The trick to all of this is...how the HECK are you gonna explain where they came from????  And to be sure:  Provenance Is All.  Because very obviously, a wine bottle that might be worth $100K has to be an *exceptionally* attractive forgery target.  If there's an issue with the provenance, a question of the authenticity, items can and do get pulled.  Plus, these days, the reach of auctions is much, much greater.  Phillips' New York watch auction had reps handling calls from Europe, and another group handling Asian calls.  Plus online bidding.  Essentially, for those things that have intrinsically limited supply, in many cases, the price has skyrocketed because the demand has exploded...AND because the number of wealthy to MASSIVELY wealthy has exploded in the last...mmm..50 years or so.  (Think tech money, for starters, but it's been true in many industries where mergers and acquisitions have created mega-corps.  Or...in 1980, Michael Jordan was worth...next to nothing.  Now?  $3B.  Jay-Z.  LeBron.  Magic Johnson.  Bob Dylan's estimated to be worth half a bill.  There's also the rise of the Chinese entrepreneurs.)

An *extremely* valuable power for a campaign would be a form of psychometry focused on time of origin, and perhaps *general* history, to authenticate things/detect forgeries.

Come on, we know what happens.  If we ignore the foreknowledge, of course we do.  If not...forget it!  With the Tardis, well, MAYBE nothing bad happens.  With the Titanic, it WILL happen.

The Titanic is one of my "if you had a *small-sized* time machine...wearable unobtrusively, where would you want to go?" scenarios...after it starts to sink, either
    a)  hit up the First Class bars and stash the booze...just because...or
    b)  for value, hit up the purser's vault.  There would be hundreds of millions in jewelry there.
    c)  hit up the staterooms of the elites for furs, jewelry, etc.......

In case you aren't familiar?  The Titanic would have TOP end wines from before the disastrous phylloxera plague that did MASSIVE damage to the French vinestock.  The only fix is to rip out the old vinestock and graft new, resistant vinestock...but that also means you've changed the wine.  The value per bottle would be......incredible.

This doesn't even create causality issues per se because in principle, no one would ever know what you took.
