  1. Re: W W Y G M D ?? They'd wonder what was up and then let it happen. Not let it happen. I think all of them would roll with it and see where I was heading with it. It would be allowed to happen (it already did happen in one of our games). I expect the villian's son or daughter would start looking for her killed their parent. (When I killed a villain before their son, who had been an NPC hero in the same city tracked me down and eventualy turned to a life of crime.)
  2. Re: All Your Base Are... Are Belong To Us. Well someone had to say it!
  3. Re: Anyone wanna suggest a build for GPS? Absolute Range Sense, Absolute Time Sense, Bump of Direction?
  4. Re: The Things I Learned Playing A Villain... If at first you don't succeed, frame a weaker villian for it while you plan out your next move.
  5. I've got a player who wants this power, but I'm not sure its legal. Healing 2 BODY, Can Heal Limbs, Reduced Endurance (0 END; +1/2), Persistent (+1/2), Area Of Effect (20" Radius; +1 1/2), Selective (+1/4), Two-Dimensional (-1/4) (87 Active Points); Extra Time (Regeneration-Only) 1 Turn (Post-Segment 12) (-1 1/4), Gestures (-1/4), Incantations (-1/4)
  6. Re: The Things I've Learned Playing a Var.Power-Pool User If you can think up an incredibly effective power for you VPP rest assured the GM is easily more creative and has no restrictions other then those he imposes on himself. In a nutshell, don't give the GM an excuse to REALLY pound you.
  7. Re: The Things I've Learned Playing Team Leader... *Cough*This isn't Things I've Learned Playing Villian Team Leader.*/Cough*
  8. Re: The thing's I've learned playing a Brick... As long as you have teammates, you have a ranged attack. Besides its not like they are strong enough to stop you from throwing them.
  9. Re: question about Israle soldier character. Doesn't Isreal also have the Shin Bet? A secret police type organization?
  10. Re: Things I learned playing a Thief I second the question. Who is Garret?
  11. Re: Time Traveller Knowledge - Precognition, KS, something else...? It should definetly be a knowledge skill. If its Precog then you'll know how what you've done in the past has affected the future. Which I don't think makes sense. If you stop John Doe from being assassinated then you don't know how that will change the future. Buy the Knowledge skill "KS: Future History".
  12. Re: The Things I've learned playing a Metamorph Just because you can turn into a bird, fly a hundred feet into the air and then turn into a full sized blue whale doesn't mean you should.
  13. Re: The Things I've Learned Playing a Var.Power-Pool User Have thick skin. You will always, repeat, always be called a munchkin or a powergaming SOB.
  14. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... It was a more four color game then usual. Otherwise that wouldn't have helped.
  15. Re: WWYCD: Fundamentalist against non-tech supers. Gregory Cauldron: Gregory's code of honor would force him to confront this man. He'd demand an apology and for him to renounce what he's been saying. If he didn't then Gregory would cast his truth spell on him and ask if he ordered the attacks, did he suggest them...ect. Then he'd turn him into a newt for about a month. Honor satisfied. Weaver: He'd search for a dimension where this guy uses magic or is a mutant and then bring him to ours and have them meet face to face.
  16. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Leapt off the rocket and used his 17d6, one shot, hand cannon to shoot the ground as he neared it. I ruled that it slowed him down enough that he survive the impact, but not by much. Another teammate had to heal him but he survived.
  17. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... GM(Me): You successfully divert the rocket. As you ride the rocket towards the side of the mountain it occurs to you that you gave Geiger your Jet Boots and you can't survive the drop to the ground. Me: But I can survive the impact, right? GM: No Mr. NCM.
  18. Re: The difference between a Brick and a Tank For me a brick has always been defined by their massive strength and physical toughness. A tank on the other hand has always been, at least to me, defined by their high defenses, both physical and energy, and high recovery. A tank might not do a lot of damage in one hit, but you can bet he'll take less damage and fight longer then you.
  19. Re: The thing's I've learned playing a Brick... Remember, no matter how far away you throw the enemy speedster he'll be back in a few seconds. Hit him with a car.
  20. Re: The Things I've Learned Playing A Mentalist I've always thought it meant killed horribly. Like getting pwnd or ownd.
  21. Re: The things I've learned playing a Martial Artist Ninja Hero? That train wreck? The guy who wrote that monstrocity should be tared and feathered! Strung up by his toes! He should be- Susano what? He did? Oh. I mean, I love Ninja Hero!!
  22. Re: The things I've learned playing a Speedster... When an enemy has been knocked down, run over them.
  23. Re: The things I've learned playing a Speedster... If you are getting creamed, run out of the combat zone at noncombat speed and take 3 recoveries and then return to the fight. Your GM will only let you do it few times before they outlaw it, don't waste it.
  24. Re: I can't wrap my head around a.... Freaky. I just finished writing up a Mime martial artist.
