  1. Skin Game by Jim Butcher. Several surprises in this, but Mab playing Nicodemus was not what I saw coming. A good read and I like forward to the next. But am I right in thinking that two of the Denarians are now permanently gone.
  2. Log, or whatever he is calling himself today, has changed his avatar again. I am going to bury my head in the sand until it is safe to come out again.
  3. One idea I had was a superheroine who conditioned herself that rape was something that could potentially happen to her as she was an attractive woman. What broke her was being captured and imprisoned in half a plinth and then seeing her comrades (who were in a similar predicament) being injected and turned to stone/marble in front of her before the same was done to her.
  4. Terence and Philip's song about a family member. That is pure evil genius. So catchy and you left the cinema anting to sing it. But couldn't for obvious reasons.
  5. The South Park movie. It is still so funny even after a decade and a half. And that song. Evil genius.
  6. How many members ? The IRA team was for me too close to the bone. Twice I was in the vicinity of where they planted bombs that killed people.
  7. Tiger Feet - Mud. Les Gray (58) heart attack Wig Wam Bam - Sweet. Brian Connolly (51) liver failure and Mick Tucker (54) leukaemia Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple. Jon Lord (71) pulmonary embolism https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mCK05dgwgU
  8. Season 16 of Dr Who. That means the Ribos Operation, The Pirate Planet, The Stones of Blood, The Androids of Tara, The Power of Kroll and the Armageddon Factor. The whole search for The Key to Time. I had forgotten just how attractive Mary Tamm was in this. The Pirate Planet is the best of them as there is a lot of comedy but also a very serious point about what the plan behind the facade was doing. What is best about all the shows is the playing. Tom Baker is just marvellous and is served by some very good guest stars like Ian Cuthbertson in The Ribos Operation, Bruce Purchase in Pirate Planet, Peter Jeffrey in The Androids of Tara, Neil McCarthy and Philip Madoc in The Power of Kroll, and John Woodvine in the Armageddon Factor.
  9. The Devil in I - Slipknot. It really is very good.
  10. Yeah that one. The woman defence lawyer is such a rotten person. And typically the French are bedhopping. But I like the two cop subordinates Gilou and Tintin. Am now watching The Island at the Top of The World which I fondly remember.
  11. Spiral season 1. This is a French policier. It shows how the judiciary works in France which is radically different to what we have in Britain or what is shown of America. A woman has been found in a skip and her body is disfigured. The police investigation slowly turns up something nasty. Each episode also has a seperate crime that is looked at either by the police or the judicary. Entertaining.
  12. I now have my 75th commissioned piece of work from Deviantart arists.
  13. And now two more commissions. http://www.deviantart.com/art/Angelika-519198700 This next one is the 75th one commissioned and delivered from a Deviantart artist http://www.deviantart.com/art/Blue-Phantom-commission-519311220
  14. Steel Wolf and Soviet Superwoman are both Original Characters on Deviantart and you will find a lot about both on that site. And 5th one down in the last set is Thunderbird. And thanks to Basic204 for the quick edit. One of the images had to be removed as it contravened board policy and would have got him in trouble with admins.
  15. Night and Fog by Alan Renais. 10 years after the war this documentary about the Holocaust comes out with a visit to the deserted Auschwitz. Some of the black and white images I had not seen before and are really disturbing. Along with Shoah I would say essential viewing as a primer on what was done in the death camps.
  16. Chasing Yesterday by Noel Gallagherf's High Flying Birds
  17. They might have a weakness to cold iron or certain herbs. There is also the possibility that they are prone to malice or mischief. Then there could be the possibility of flight.
  18. Arabella Winterson is the nurse that assists in most of the operations. She has an understanding of the life force itself and can tell which patients will live and which will die despite any surgery that Médecins sans Moralité could perform. She hates Dr Veillant who treats her with disdain. Why she works for him is not clear but it would appear that some patients may have died under her watch and she would have been convicted of murder if she had not joined the organisation. Whether Veillant was responsible for the deaths in the first place is open to debate. She adheres to the Hippocratic oath. Her name in the organisation is Infirmiére. She rarely speaks to Veillant limiting herself to 'Yes Doctor' or 'No doctor' but will sit and talk to the patients themselves on any number of subjects.
  19. This is the latest piece of art I have received, this time from Phil Cho http://www.deviantart.com/art/Type-V-Demon-commission-518200829 How about two days from order to completion ?
  20. That is 7. Which is 2 over minimum. Does Freakboy6117 have a new team or do people wish to continue ?
  21. 25,000 posts plus. 225th delivered commission Went out last night to an event where the chef Bryn Williams did a demo. So had scallops, pork cheek in a lobster bisque and restaurant made Jaffa cake. Lovely.
  22. Point out that Galactus failed to destroy the planet in several visits so they have no chance.
  23. Nacht Hans Schlesser is Nacht, German for Night. He thought that Night King or Night Killer or something of that ilk would attract too much attention. He is the leader of the team and was the one who effectively 'deposed' Diabolicus by getting him to leave. Nacht has some dark powers but has a wealth of contacts in the Underworld and supernatural communities. He is a tad suspicious and paranoid about the witch who seems to have some sort of vendetta going against the team. He witnessed firsthand several attacks on the team undercover of their battles which resulted in the deaths of team mates which, as they were demons, should not have happened. [This was the The Sophia trying to finish Diabolicus but his colleagues, who were powerful and evil in their own right, were more than acceptable collateral damage]. His colleague Dr Fear tried to subtlely investigate and find out who their foe was. His death was far from subtle but effective. Nacht has prevented colleagues from snooping since although he has tried elliptically and abstractly tried to find out who it is. What he does not know is that a ring he wears grants him some protection so that neither The Sophia nor the Sybll have been able to pin him down and elimninate him. Hans provides some energy power but also obscuring powers. And then he has access to a wealth of devices with which he helps the team. Nacht plays up the fact that Furlong is the actual leader as it helps divert attention from the team and from him. Neither of them are fools and as long as it works they intend to let it run.
  24. You wait ages for a Rhardo image and then two come along at once ! http://www.deviantart.com/art/Commish-459-517672962 http://www.deviantart.com/art/Commish-460-The-Cowboy-517674925 The second is the 225th piece of commissioned and completed art.
  25. Refractor This villain can draw in energy and and launch it at another target. It was how he won. When people shot him with energy blasts he bounced them onto someone else. He can now do this indirectly by bouncing the blast off a surface and onto another target. This also works on water provided it is still enough. New Team: The Night Battalion Originally set up by DEMON (or whoever is the big mystic bad guys in your campaign), this team would have been considered also rans were it not for a change of fortune when Diabolicus joined and became the new leader. Although the team were always defeated they became fearsome and feared (well when your leader is a big red demon/devil you get noticed and recognition). Although Diabolicus is no longer with the team it still exists, in part trading off its past but also building towards the future. The old team had supernatural members such as vampires, werewolves, witches and all sorts of beings who thrived in the night. That meant that the hero community did not feel too badly about using lethal force against them and killing them. The same is not so true of the new team who have realised they are more of a target if they have vampires et al. Define members of the new team with a minimum of 5 members with the following provisos. 1. They don't have to have dark powers or a name relating to night. 2. Only one werewolf/vampire or genuine supernatural nasty in the first five members. If the minimum is succeeded, a further two can be werewolf/vampire/genuine supernatural nasty. But no more than one werewolf and onr vampire in the whole team. 3. No current member of the team was with the team at the beginning or when Diabolicus arrived. Someone who has been restored to life after being killed under Diabolicus's tenure, or from the beginning, is an allowed exception. 4. The Dark Fae could easily be members as Diabolicus worked for Dr Nymax! before he became the boss. 5. The team are aware of The Corruption, The Dreamstealers and Infernal Affairs and give them a wide berth. 6. The team are not pawns of anyone. 7. The team are also aware that a very powerful witch has been responsible for the demise of some of its previous members (mainly this is the work of the Sophia but the Sybll accounted for a few as well) and are now keeping a lower profile than previously. (It will not do any good as both witches keep an eye on the team and will do something drastic if they think it necessary).
