  1. Re: Comics that I miss. Last year's reboot of She-Hulk (Great sense of humor) Rom was kinda silly, but then so am I. I had nearly every issue. The original Marvel Team up (Last version just didn't do it for me). The original What If? was great. I forgot how much fun it was until the recent What If threads. I'd like to see The Eternals, with the original Kirby flavoring. Captain Marvel (Mar-vel). Last year's Thanos series was my favorite (outside of Astonishing Xmen).
  2. Re: Horror/Fantasy Sick Concept Forget whether it could actually be done; I mean it's not like yer actually going to do it in r/l. (Are you? ) Unless yer players are real nitpickers, go with it. It's disgusting but cool.
  3. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? I Can't Get It Out Of My Head, E.L.O., off of Greatest Hits.
  4. Re: Superheroic Weapons of Legend Play Pants +20 PRE, OIF Ok, I got nothin'
  5. Re: "Berserker" character Had an early edition character named BERSERKER. He wasn't all that complicated really; His extra stats were tied to failing a Berserk (enraged) roll. He had 4 such disads, and they were mostly combat related so, for him it wasn't worth much of a bonus. (1/4 I think). I kinda miss that character. He was a scary villain for a long time, but lack of upkeep on my part caused the hero to catch up to him in ability.
  6. Re: The Punisher vs Bugs Bunny Sadly, like all fights, the writer will eventually have them team up to go after the Kingpin and his lieutenant, Yosemite Sam, leaving the fight question unanswered.
  7. Re: Greatest Super Battle Ever See, now I don't have 175 anymore. I have 174 (Since it's the first comic I ever bought on my own with my own money) and I was wondering if I wasn't romanticizing the fight into being something better than it was. So I'm glad to see someone else remembers it fondly! At the end of 174 where HE marches out to meet Galactus struck me as kind of badass. So I was a big H.E. fan for quite a while.
  8. Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? Stand Inside Your Love, Smashing Pumpkins which now segues into Private Idaho, B52's
  9. Re: Champs "Star Chamber" Might I propose some sort of [Dr. Evil quotation fingers]"Phantom Zone"[/Dr. Evil quotation fingers].
  10. Re: Champs "Star Chamber" 1. They'd need rules of punishment. And is it a sliding scale (This murder is worse than that one) or is it absolute (as the law was intended to be; One punishment for murder) 2. 3. They'd need a place to carry out sentence. What good is enforcing your own law if you don't have a secret prison somewhere. Contacts who can cover up the disappearance of a villain would help. 4. Don't know. I'd run it Iron Age. I'm sure there are other folks who can lighten the mood.
  11. Re: Champs "Star Chamber" I actually ran a group of "true vigilantes" based on the Star Chamber in a campaign (heck, probably a few years after the movie came out). But they were intended to be a secret cabal of heroes who'd crossed that line; They wanted to induct the PC (I was running a solo campaign at the time), who rebelled and tried to bring them down. Now I wonder what would have happened if the PC had joined. That sure would have changed the campaign!
  12. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists Yup, he's on my list actually, a ways back. He's right above Elektra and DD on my list.
  13. Re: Need Spell ideas... I actually find this is the biggest use for my USPD (and now my USPD2)!
  14. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists Well, meow. Did she bump you out of a spot on the team?
  15. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist You'll hear two arguments: First that it could be an aberration rather than the norm. The other, that we don't know every little bit of comic book history and are voting based on our personal knowledge. I ascribe to the last one.
  16. Re: Marvel's Best Martial Artists I don't like "ties", so I'm gonna try to put them each in their own niche. 1) Shang Chi 2) Black Panther 3) Iron Fist 4) Captain America 5) Stick 6) Elektra 7) Daredevil 8) Black Widow 9) Bullseye 10) Steel Serpent There are lots I don't have a clear memory of.
  17. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist I based my vote on what little I know of the current batgirl. I didn't mention the original batgirl because while she's probably a great martial artist still, she's probably not quite as good in a wheel chair. (Still kick my booty though) Oh, and it looks like I killed Richard Dragon's rating by not including him. But I've *never* seen him in a comic.
  18. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist Just using the few I know, plus what I've heard of them (So there will be LOTS left out): 1) Lady Shiva 2) Batman 3) Black Canary 4) Nightwing 5) Batgirl 6) Catwoman 7) Robin
  19. Re: DC Universe Overview I think I sprained something.
  20. Re: DC's Best Martial Artist Ooh, nice kick. I think Enforcer84 should be on that list somewhere. (Below Ben, of course)

    I need an "S"

Re: I need an "S" Again, System was my first thought, though Suit made as much sense and went right past me! System Suit Solution
  23. Re: What was your first character like?
  24. Re: What was your first character like? Hard to remember 25 or so years ago. I'm guessing my first Champions character wasn't that memorable (because I can remember my first V&V ones). First one that I remember had growth and cold powers. Yep, you got it; A sort of Frost Giant. Cold blasts, Very high STR, and an axe. He was a scientist, so his INT was decent.
  25. Re: Worst comic book superfight ever I was thinking the same thing when I saw it. Only now I think I may *still* have it.
