There have been threads about the killing of heroes in-game. But I think I'll take this another direction. Bordering on a WWYCD thread... After a great and pitched battle, the dust settles and your character meets his untimely end. Think of Captain Mar-Vel's funeral attended by a pantheon of characters; Think of Spock being brought back through a quest but lacking all his faculties; Think of Buffy ripped from heaven by well-meaning heroes using a ceremony. What happens to you in your universe? Tell me tales of the character's demise and his impact on the world at large.

Re: Need help with CoH crossover I recommend you go to eden studios website; They are producing the Coh RPG. From there, there's a link to the free download of the "quick play" rules for CoH RPG. This is relevant because inside the 40 page package has character sheets for MYNX, LUMINARY, SWAN, INFERNAL, MS. LIBERTY, MALAISE, and a their sample scenario's villains. Good place to start for a glimpse into CoH in an "official" capacity of some sort. The download is free, btw. You just have to register with DriveThruRPG

Actually I was just remarking to a friend with similar taste in music (the ONLY person in the office who fits that bill) that this is the first time in years I listened to a station for 45 minutes and liked ALL the songs. now: Would? by Alice In Chains.

Is the redhead in front of The Hulk, Jessica Jones? MJ? Other?

Re: New Avengers With the exception of "Binary" I liked Ms. Marvel. If Bendis isn't writing it, I might check it out. Besides, just not enough hotties with their own titles out there. I'm wondering if the New Avengers even has an editor or anyone with taste, a sense of history, or any sort of moral compass. Funny, with all the stuff about The Avengers comcis said here lately, I couldn't get worked up. But this really did piss me off.

Final Destination (and II and III) a mismatched group of travellers on a train are disturbed when one has a psychic image of the train's crash and decide to disembark at the next stop. Sure enough, the train crashes immediately thereafter. Then they have to avoid the strange traps and machinations set forth by death. (Okay, not sure how you resolve this one. Perhaps a trip to gain a magical ward or to engage a mystic in their defense )

Re: New Avengers Good lord. Just looked at that link to Issue 16. There was NO need for this gratuituous bull****. While Alpha Flight are not my favorite team, I do resent what some authors will do to other people's heroes with no consideration.

She'd try all the cliche's: We're from two different worlds...You're a villain, I'm a hero; I could never love someone who wasn't fully committed to justice. I then predict the inevitable turn of events where he tries to be a hero for a while. And upon failing that and going evil again, resigns himself to unrequited love, and eventually slides back into his more lecherous, heavy handed persuit of her.

As to the Eye-Patch/Blindness thing, if you're actually spending points to call that "flash defense" then it's an 11- activation (A 50-50 of having the correct eye facing that way. Though 8- is more logical (Even if you're not directly looking at the flash source with your good eye, you'd still feel the effects).

A hero buys three mental powers. The thing about mental powers is that they automatically come with a mental awareness sense. The player buys the hero with two of the powers at a reduced rate, for the power not granting Mental Awareness. The third power he buys normally and thus gets the added sense. Fair or Munchkin? If he takes that limit, should he be forced to take it on all powers or none? Or is this just creative conservation of points? Only argument I can come up with in favor of allowing this is that if that particular power were hit by a drain and reduced to 0, he'd lose that sense too and be blind (mentally). But tha'ts pretty rare.
