  1. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Nee! (Ok, enough of this. Can we get some good quotes? If I had 'em, I'd use 'em.)
  2. Re: Your "2010" Pet Gaming Projects 1) Continue with my "Misfit League" adventure. Get Mechanon scenario started and eventually involved my own master supervillianess - Draconia Tempestas. Can change into dragon and summon demons. She's already been "introduced" but the players have no idea - yet. 2) Convert on ongoing but suspended D&D campaign into Hero system. This will take a while.
  3. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I'm arguing in my spare time. (I only charge to stop arguing.)
  4. Re: What If: You were the world's 1st superhuman? Super hero definately. And things about to get very interesting for the rest of the world considering my sense of humor. Once well loved, I'd start to mention personal beliefs, but force no one to change theirs. Run for office? Probably not. Otherwise get involved in politics? .... Well politics are part of my personal belief, so some people will start to hate me. Won't change a thing.
  5. Re: I've got this variable Energy Bolt I once did something similar with a duplication. The guy got at least 2 duplicates and up to 5.
  6. Re: History: My first HERO character My first Character was Volt; an older (sixties) electrical blaster made in Hero system 3. Has been used in every game I've ever played in- as PC or GMPC (kinda). Has been done in every version since except 6th. Will redo him in version 6 soon, but since he uses Elemental control and since that as such is gone, he might go up in cost. Will see. He always seems to be liked by all the other players in every game I've put him in.
  7. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Oh wow. Dejavue all over again. I once posted a song very similar to this somewhere on this board, probably this thread. Someone else said they had something similar. Great (or at least somewhat disturbed) minds think alike. (Mine: Rape kill pillage and burn, rape kill pillage and burn. Eat babies!)
  8. Re: What's Up With These Protestors? (2 parts) Volt - a) The only thing I could come up with considering his popularity is either 1) Being a professed Christian or 2) Having a professed pagan on the team, since Volt is leader. In either case he would point out they have right to protest and just ask that they do not block access. If they do, he calls the cops after pointing out that he would and giving them time to comply. Olorin - a) Either being a pagan, being too flip or being a bit too medieval. Probably the first or last. See Volt's response, but with a bit of joshing. Black Tiger - a) They'd be protesting how one of his foes has mysteriously "disappeared" (which knowing him, might really be his doing) He'd ignore them unless they blocked access. He'd then call the cops without warning them. Leadman - a) Very non controversial. Would almost have to be a mistake on their part or an accident on his part. If mistake, he'd try to clear it up. If accdient, he'd apologize. The he'd go Volts' route. Futurian - a) The protest would almost certainly be about not giving out future cures to diseases. "Are you insane? Do you have any idea how that would mess up the time line? If I gave it out, you'd miss the research would would cause other cures and other good side effects to never occur. Go away." And then follow Volt's route - eventually.
  9. Re: My Name Is Morty Olorin and Futurian would encourage him, accompany him and bring a camera. You never know. Volt - Encourage him to do so, but also turn himself into the cops if wanted. Would go with him to prevent bad things from occuring. Black Tiger - Glare. "You should have done that years ago. You're under arrest." Leadman - "Do that. Then turn yourself in. Good luck."
  10. Re: The Envelope All my characters would go with backup nearby. Possibly some heroes from another group as a wildcard. Olorin would go invisible, desolid, silent and ready to t-port on a trigger. (he's not paranoid, just cautious). Futurian might send an ad-hoc robot that looks human to retrieve it. (and knowing him, it might look Rubegoldbergish - but work well.)
  11. Re: The Golden Apple All my characters would read the files (except maybe Futurian) give it to our government (except Black Tiger) and "interesting" (but not totally secret) parts to the press. Black Tiger - Oh boy! Blackmail material! He'd be in heaven! He'd let it be known if he "disappeared" it'd go totally pulbic. If anything impacted on his memory loss (or he thought it did) he'd be on it like stink on s**t. Anything that did not apply to the above, he'd dole out to our government as needed for favors. If that didn't work, all would go out for one favor. He'd keep a copy. Futurian "Oh gawd, this is boring. Who cares? It's in the past." Then he'd probably misplace it. If confronted, he'd honestly forget where it was. If asked when he found it, he'd turn it over to whoever asked, except for any person who threatened him. In that case it'd go public if he had the chance.
  12. Re: Silly question: Because an entagle stuck him to the chicken.
  13. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... I do puns like that. Yes, I am lucky to be alive.....
  14. Re: Happy Halloween! What Would Your Character Wear? Volt - "I'm a bit old to dress up and go out. I'm handing out candy; I love to see the costumes." Olorin - As a mage, he could go as anything. Most likely as Odo from Star Trek Deep Space Nine - including the shape changing. He'd love it. Black Tiger - Suggest it and he scowls and growls. Would not do it. Leadman - "Kid stuff. Some of the costumes are good though." Futurian "Are you kidding? I'm in!" He'd go as Darth Vader. With a working light saber. And demonstrate "force" abilities - but only on tech.
  15. Re: Mini Settings "Too Short"? I like mini settings a lot. Even if I don't use them they get my creative juices flowing.

    A Gift?

Re: A Gift? Volt - Takes it somewhere far away from people, has a healing hero nearby, and opens it. Olorin - T-ports it far away. Scans it magically. Neutralize if necessary. Opens it. Black Tiger - Clears the area. Blows it up. Leadman - Clears the area. Grumbles. Has healing hero nearby and opens it. Futurian "OOO! Goodies!" Takes it somewhere private and opens it.
  17. Re: Maybe without quite so much beefcake... I'm a bit better than that. But not much.
  18. Re: Poison's Champions Art Thread I second thanking your wife for the coloring. Again, . If I just could get the pictures in my head out where others could see it. Oh well, keep it up!
  19. Re: Poison's Champions Art Thread I wish I could draw half as well as you. Heck, I'd settle for one quarter! Good stuff! Keep it coming! And consider me seconding it to be done in color.
  20. Re: Your favorite champions character I have two I like a lot, but I will choose one. Olorin, my unaging goofball medieval mage from another dimension. When I created him, I told my group I was going to create a mage that was "My sense of humor let run loose with the power to back it up." Various shades of "Oh my God!" and "Dear God no!" issued from every lip. I've had a blast with him. He loves to boggle minds, pull legs, and keep people wondering just when he's kidding or not. Being a medieval, someday he's going to kill someone in that modern society says should be brought to trial. Why? Because Olorin got p***ed off or thought the guy was too dangerous to live. It acutaly already happened once, but no one knew it did but Olorin, and he ain't telling. Someday he's going to do it again and get caught.
  21. Re: Silly question: Because he was transformed into a chicken.
  22. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Last gaming session I was reminded of an old quote from D&D. Often the group I was in was distrusted in villages, even if they were needed. We got irritated at it and decided to get snarky. We had a halfling rogue who had a babyface and therefore looked like a human child (And used it shamelessly). We started doing a chant. I wish I could say it, it has a good meter. Group: "Rape. Kill. Pillage and burn. Rape kill pillage and burn." Halfling: "Eat babies!" Repeat as needed. Everyone in the group always gave the halfing a "Whaa???" look even though he always did it. (Part of the routine.) Became a running gag.
  23. Re: Alterate Timeline: 9-11 Averted Only one of my heroes would be even a bit different if 9-11 did not happen. (I ran the senario. It happened, and my heroes dealt with the aftermath.) Olorin would be less known, and less loved in New York. He plotted where all living, dead and dying were magically, and prioritized their rescue. That's all he did, but many lives were saved and bodies recovered. The rest did what they could, but were only a part of all heroes present.
  24. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... Haven't played in over a month, but last night finished the module "Shades of Black."; which was well liked. Me as GM, trying to herd cats. (Trying to stop the chitchat and start the game.) "Ok, it's time for death and destruction." Pretty much in unison both players ooc say "Death and destruction! Yea!" I have 3 gm run characters as they need them. One will very shortly be retired and I will temporarily add a new one. (plot device) Cast of Characters: Disarray: mentalist and tk specialist Silverswirl: Energy user from another dimension Volt (mine): team leader and energy user Black Tiger (mine): Martial artist Olorin (mine) Mage and large vpp user (with oddball restrictions) Scene: climax of Module. Olorin has imprisoned Black Paladin, but can do almost nothing else. Chantal is back and gloating. Then I make a verbal slip and say "Black Paladin is on Chatnal" Meaning to say Black Tiger and that he was attacking her. Smut field was apparently on. Disarray (ooc) "In the middle of battle? Can't he wait?" Silverswirl (ooc) "We really don't need to see that." Both the above more than once said something to the effect of "Aw, true lust. How sweet." in refence to Black Paladin and Chantal. In character
  25. Re: Back In The Flesh... All my characters would pretty much leave him alone unless he's using mind control and such, but watch him. Black Tiger and Olorin would watch him very carefully. Olorin probably would talk shop with him if he would take time out from his debauchery.
