Enforcer84
Re: Musings on Random Musings Not bad. Positive feedback from classmates, repeated myself a couple of times, a couple stutters or "uhms" but it was a subject I had enough to talk about. Not sure I filled the seven minutes though. archermoo
Re: Musings on Random Musings ... Yep' date=' I'm going to the nationals. L. Marcus
Re: Musings on Random Musings Okay' date=' I'll bite: What does "Stopper in third" mean? [/quote']Someone with good enough guard to ensure a draw in the middle of the team match. There are five kendoka in a team, with the taisho, or captain, traditionally in position five and the team's strongest in position four. If the two first bouts are losses, a stopper tries to to ensure a draw so that the final two has a chance of at least making the match a tie. And since we seem to be one man short, we start off with a walkover loss and the position becomes even more critical. I'm not one for strategy, so I'm happily leaving that to our two national team ladies who will most probably take positions four and five. And then there's our energetical Korean to start off on position one or two ...

Logan D. Hurricanes
Pimp my Noveli! Pick an answer of your liking: 1) Absolutely lacking in respect and thus wrong. 2) Depends on the strength of my literary pimp hand. 3) Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the hat. Bazza
Re: Musings on Random Musings Is anyone really that surprised that Andre Agassi did crystal meth? He deliberately also lost the 1996 Australian Open semi-final to avoid playing Boris Becker in the final. Boris blew kisses at his former wife Brooke Shields and Agassi held a grudge.
