Fluff Butt's "real" name is Spike. But he was the only long-hair in the litter, and my hanging the Fluff Butt label happened rather before we decided we'd adopt him. He hid behind the pots for an hour and a half or so, and then spent about two hours later in the day sleeping on my lap as I played Civ and MoM. While there, he did something I'd never seen before: he growled in his sleep. He made a few other motions at the same time, strongly suggesting he was having a combat dream. A friend of mine says that when she had an outbreak of poison ivy in the woods in her back yard, she paid a local farmer to bring some goats over to eat it. As I normally do in such "dire" circumstances, I made a quip along the lines of "I guess we'll just have to eat it all, then. That's OK... I'll take that bullet for you." And the moment I said it, I realized that in light of the events in Aurora, where 4 men literally took a bullet to save their loved ones, that particular quip just isn't funny anymore.
