Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

Are the Hero Designer files for these characters posted somewhere (particularly the Teen Titans themselves)? Some of the previous posts seem to indicate that they are' date=' or were, but I don't know where.[/quote']

I posted a few on this thread. I might have had to snip them for my attachment quota.

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

My 8-year old son recently asked how to play the game he's seen me and my posse playing for years, so I wrote up Robin for him.

He did a GREAT job playing him in a bank robbery scenario. First, he went after the guys fleeing down the street with the bags of money, and returned the money to the teller before even going after the guys who were shooting at him.

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

But, instead of playing Robin, he wanted to play Red X in my game. I didn't write him any Psych Lims, since I wanted to see how my boy would play the character first. I also figured it'd be simpler to add a flat bonus to OCV and DCV instead of more traditional CSLs.

And that right there is an excellent example of why young people should be playing RPG's it teaches them good morals! :D

Unfortunately' date=' I haven't gotten those characters written up. I'm planning on doing Mad Mod, Mammoth, Jinx and Gizmo though.[/quote']

Nexus -

Did you ever get a chance to write up Jinx? I am thinking of potentially using a knock off for a game and wanted to see if I could shamelessly steal one from someone who is much better at character construction. ;)

I'm not Nexus (so my take is probably very different), but I wrote up those three (plus the other two in the HIVE Five) for my Teen Titans demo game. :)

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

Nexus -

Did you ever get a chance to write up Jinx? I am thinking of potentially using a knock off for a game and wanted to see if I could shamelessly steal one from someone who is much better at character construction. ;)

Thanks for the compliment! Unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to get back to doing write ups. :( Medical issues.

Keyes Bill's sheet looks darn solid though.

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

I'm not Nexus (so my take is probably very different), but I wrote up those three (plus the other two in the HIVE Five) for my Teen Titans demo game. :)

Cool write ups! I would have made Jinx a bit more like a mini Scarlett wish but your take looks very solid. Maybe slap variable special effects (Various Bad luck) and Indirect on her EB?

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

I wanna see the Mad Mod! Wahhh!!!

No, really, I have a very dim memory of reading a story with the Mod in it way back when (the early 70s) I was reading the Australian reprints of DC 60s stuff. I've never had the joy of seeing the Mod since. All I can remember is a single frame, where the Mod talks the biggest load of gibberish in the history of the universe.

For the record, I have quite a nice collection of 70s Teen Titans, inherited from a former flatmate of mine. I've read a lot of New Teen Titans too, but I kind of like the old cheese. Because.

Re: TV Teen Titans Writeups

Even with a 10 STR' date=' he could Martial Throw the bear by Pushing, as I described. ;) 10 STR + 10 Push STR = 20 STR, enough for the grizzly bear.[/quote']

Usually, I give Super Martial Artists the following ability

Full Body Strength

+10 STR, Lim: Costs x3 END (-1), Lim: Must have at least one foot (or hand) partially on the ground, Lim: Can't be used with Pushing.

This represents the ability for a martial artist to be quite strong as long as he keeps a hand or foot at least partially on the ground.
