winterhawk
Need a name for a villainous brick around during the early Silver Age, around 1960. Nothing special or odd about his powers, just a bad superstrong guy. Thanks in advance.
csyphrett
Re: Silver Age-y Sounding Name Help Both Blockbuster and Grundy were around at that time if you're talking about comic books. Marvel was turning out monster books and just starting their hero line so Fin Fang Foom, and It the Living Colossus are there. CES

Kirby
Re: Silver Age-y Sounding Name Help Brick sounds good to me as well, however, there are also options for "Wall." Such as Brick Wall, Stonewall, Guard Wall, etc. Does he have any significant background?

winterhawk
Re: Silver Age-y Sounding Name Help Does he have any significant background? No, none what-so-ever. He's basically a throwaway character I'm using in a background/historical piece I'm writing for my campaign. And the winnah...Powerfist! I knew I'd know it when I heard it. Something tough but cheezy! Speedball and Hermit: Look for the misadventures of Powerfist on the Interlude Thread of 'A Game of Chance' soon. Supreme
Re: Silver Age-y Sounding Name Help Point of Order Supreme... 1960 is mid-Silver Age. 1956 was the start. 1961 was the start of the Silver Age for Marvel which was markedly different. Marvel characters from that period were (and still are) generally as cursed by their powers and blessed. Their characters were mostly Atomic-power created whereas DC was more chemistry and aliens, like they were in the 40s.
