Re: "Neat" Pictures

We watched a bald eagle fly over a flock of tens of thousands of snow geese once. The eagle didn't act like it was hunting, just passing through. The geese weren't taking any chances and took off with much vocal protest. Amazing sight and sound.

Eagles regularly harass ospreys in flight into dropping the fish they've caught, though. Crows are generalists, and are nimbler on the wing than the raptors, and are OK with flying in forested terrain. Eagles are soarers, so their flight tradeoffs optimized for other things.

Talk about a space saver! The Design Odyssey Vertebrae is an entire bathroom in one column. The toilet is at the bottom, then a sink at sink level, and a shower head folds out from higher. This is one of 10 examples of cutting-edge bathroom design at DVICE. Some are hi-tech, others are just beautiful. I particularly like the huge shower head embedded in the ceiling.

Re: "Neat" Pictures

I was wondering myself.

You'd probably have it in the room, possibly even near the shaft. I'm thinking since that's a display, it's non functional.

Actually, it would be the shaft. The sink, toilet, etc... would all drain thru the shaft which is probably a pipe.

I had the same thoughts, and imagined the whole thing would be better with a wider arc on the very bottom which could rotate out, where the shower user would stand and which contains the drain opening.

Of course, that still ignores the lack of shower curtain or whatever to keep water from going everywhere as it sprays off the shower user.

But this is getting too much of a thread hijack. So here's one I thought was neat...
