Tenjo Tenge -- a fighting manga. CMX's translation is edited all to hell and back. The original was a mature title, CMX decided to make it a teen title.

I totally agree. Unfortunately, I can't rep Eosin for it, as I've repped him too recently.

 

By the way, I think that's an enemy standard, rather than a weapon. A guy in red and gold doesn't seem like the type to use a black weapon draped in skulls.

Actually the way I saw it was the standard of the enemy he was carrying as a battle trophy.

It's a cool picture, but the proportions are kinda whack (unless the guys who live in the houses are all 8" tall..)

I saw it the opposite direction - the tower in the background is massive. The ships and town look to be in proportion to each other with that utterly huge castle above them.

 

And I think those are dragons, not birds, as evidenced by the one in the shadowed foreground on the left...

 

Still a very cool piece of imagery.
