He may have been working and seeking work constantly (in his prime he was ultra-famous for a show that splayed the Top 40 songs for the previous week, while his voice work was virtually ignored. But there were lines he wouldn't cross, like quitting Transformers when they started using more anti-Middle Easterns slurs in stories about terrorist (always Muslim). Kasem was Christian Lebanese and wouldn't stand for the unjust treatment of anyone from that part of the world, even sworn enemies. The original Shaggy Rogers was his most memorable role. Now that he is no longer with us, his name and his work is getting far more recognition (at least as a non-DJ) and appreciation.
