Zeropoint
Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Ie HERO is the main rpg (ie Mac OS X) hosting other rpgs (OSs) in 'virutal machines'....concurrently. Now that would be nifty. Sounds like a game of Gamers: The Game: The Game About Gaming (featured in PvP Online). Seriously, I do like the idea of the characters in a roleplaying game sitting down to a roleplaying game. It's so . . . recursive.

Dr. Anomaly
Re: Genres HERO GAMES may want to avoid (intended to be humorous) Well, there is a song parody thread down in the NGD, though I haven't seen it in a while. Not all of them are superhero or HERO parodies...but I'd really reccomend reading The Song Spoof Thread.

I have a Dream Park module where the players start out with their characters involved in training simulation without being told that's what's going on. You're supposed to tell them that it looks like Dream Park is really doing this one on the cheap.

Play people with no talent who are an embarassment to themselves and their families. Or Pope Hero. More like a one-on-one-campaign kit.
