Had a hankering for some anime space battles. So I am half way through watching "Banner of the Stars" again.

 

I really wish I could see "Legend of the Galactic Heroes", I have heard is was great, just not released in the US.

Josh and I watched Cocoon and My Super Ex-Girlfriend last night. We both REALLY liked the second of those. And I hadn't realized that was Eddie Izzard until the credits rolled. He looks different in mens' clothes and without his British accent . . .

Last movie at the theatre:

Apocalypto, which is a nice action/adventure movie. Unfortunately, the projector malfunction so I had to wait 30 minutes to see the last 20 minutes.

 

Last rented DVDs:

Season two of Reno 911! Freaking hilarious.

 

Last bought DVDs:

Big Fish: Best Tim Burton movie, mainly because it's not a typical Tom Burton movie.

Blackadder II: Long time since I had seen these.

Jesus Christ, Vampire Hunter: Yes, I know I'll go to Hell for watching this one, but cheesy fun. Always nice to end a Jesus movie on a song called "Everybody Gets laid Tonight".

The anime club just watched some episodes of Excel Saga, the anime designed to make you loose SAN. It also watched Episodes 21 & 22 of Cowboy Bebop and is gearing up for the rather emotional final three episodes.

Tonight I went and saw Children Of Men. This is what V for Vendetta should have looked like! Wow!

Gotta bitta kulcha last weekend.

 

We (well, my wife really) had a Jane Austen Day. We had a dinner with 18th century food and nice wine, watched Sense and Sensibility, then had supper, with a suitable sweet wine then watched Mansfield Park.

I was actually really weirded-out to find my mother didn't like Jane Austen. But most people find her boring and overly preoccupied with girly stuff.

recently I watched Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Watching the special features on the DVD made me admire the production and Jolie even more. The bungi ballet was all done by Jolie, and the end scene is real, they went to Iceland to film it. The contraption at the end also is real, and if you wen't looking what you were doing you really could have been cut it too.
