Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

One martial art evolved from the armed forces. And that martial art, my friends, is Martial Arts Laundry. Thus The Laundryman is the master of using trousers, skirts, shirts, jackets, socks and even ties to aid his blows. Thrill as he uses a cold iron on a flex as a boomerang ! Gasp as he uses spin cycle in an orthodox way ! And finally say 'No Way !' as he finds a way to use a single scented sheet for a spin dryer to disable an opponent !

The Laundryman is always a man as the common view was that it would be sexist for it to be a woman. And for men in the armed forces, laundry can be considered a hobby.

Sheryl Crow (no relation to the singer) by all outward appearances is your average little old lady. But when she dons her multicolored quilted body armor watch out! Then she becomes the Villaness CrowShay, wielding her sharpened knitting needles with deadly force and accuracy. Lately she has taken to raiding various nursing homes and killing off the staff...

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Okay, we need something special for the 200th Villain Team, so try this on for size!

The Poster-men

This group of rag tag villains formed after they met each other on an online forum and decided to band together to spread villainy and conquer the world together!

Rules:

This one is going to be a bit different. Instead of a number of villains on the team, this one will remain open for 1 week (unless someone objects). It will officially close Sunday, October 7th, at noon.

Each "Villain" is YOU! Whoever posts must come up with a set of superpowers for themselves, as well as motivation for becoming a villain. Backgrounds are encouraged but not required. Feel free to take up a villainous cause (Revenge against company such and such for their poor customer service, getting back at your ex-wife, whatever, just please no Real world political or religious motives that could lead to thread derail.)

Ill post myself sometime midweek, Whoever is the last person to post a villain gets to pick the next team Monday Oct 8th.

Enjoy!

Death Tribble

You must remember the Trouble with Tribbles episode of Star Trek. Remember the scene towards the end when Kirk confronts the Klingon impersonating a human while holding two tribbles in his hands ? Well one of those is the one who became Death Tribble. That was his first acting job. He has always refused to talk about whether he appeared again with Mr Shatner, as his wig, in T J Hooker. But what turned him to evil ? Some say it was the company he kept, the Demon Queen of the Spiders and Drow Lolth. Others say it was the actions of people in Chicago but long have the Hero games posters known of the wrath of the Tribble who one moment is a a pleasantly purring ball of fur and the next is a rampaging kaiju with burning eyes. Nowadays Zornwil, the resident Kaiju of the boards is gone leaving America to the not so tender mercies of a giant British monster with a penchent for defending the honour of Gillian Anderson and a taste for destruction.

Worse was to follow for he contacted like minded individuals on the forums and said. 'I'm bored. Let's team up and take on all comers.'

The Death Tribble, and the Abyss help you if you call him DT, is a shapeshifter capable of going from small size to giant sized rampaging ball of fur. The tentacles are capable of firing bolts of flame and are more powerful the larger he is. Insidiously he can purr at sub-harmonic levels rendering women in a state of collapse. He is also knownm to pal around with Lolth which only makes either of them much more dangerous. In either form he is capable of telekinesis of varying levels and complexity. Indeed when pursuing Chicago's mayor, he was observed to lift marine corps personnel out of his way in order to continue the pursuit. That this was done at speed and included lifting a tank as well indicates how strong he is.

Mind powers don't tend to work on him as his ego is quite large, he is extremely stubborn and hanging around a psychopath like the Drow Goddess makes you immune to a lot of mental effects.

{I don't usually see myself as a villain. let's see...}

Csyphrett is an ordinary driver who has attracted the attention of the police one too many times. After one last ticket, he decided to show the world how good a driver he is. His road rage has racked up millions in damages. His ability to make his car nigh invulnerable has allowed him to push bigger cars off the road after several high speed collisions.

No one is safe from his roaring rampage.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Ok, my turn.

It is always a bad idea to bother anti-social misanthropes. Badger is a perfect example.

After dealing with those who just wouldnt leave him alone. Telemarketers.....teenagers.......fanboys who thought Wolverine was kewl. He finally flipped out and somehow transformed into a talking, bipedal version of his favorite animal......a badger. He spent several years marauding the Endorian countryside with his Ewokhunters, ridding the universe of said evil.

Make no mistake, he is an insane little furball of blind fury (say that 3 times real fast). Many have speculated why he joined up with a new group. The best guess is the Poster-men gave him free unlimited fridge access and a burrow all his own (with dish access to watch all his cartoons and Westerns).

What are his powers, you ask? Well, he abilities seem to be connected to his level of enragement. The angrier he gets the more his powers increase. He generally prefers move through attacks using his claws. But, he'll bite, kick, throw objects anything he angry little mind can do. The anger also seems to enhance STR, and his already prodigious SPD. When in extreme rage he will also blast random energy blast (apparently when so angry, his body has to get rid of that excess energy someway). He also has a super burrowing ability, which proves effective in his more lucid moments for sneak attacks or emergrency escapes. His body also seems somewhat indestructible. Lucky, for him, given once he goes berserk, he wont quit the attack, no matter how futile. Several times, his teammates have been forced to flee without him, leaving him to certain doom, to which he will appear next morning at the base's steps looking at his friends oblivious to their shock.

Generally, in battle, his first move is to attack something he doesnt like and destroy it. (and allies have to keep an eye out because if they are in the way, they risk being collateral damage.) Though, when not particularly motivated, he could become bored and raid the nearest convenience store for snacks. Which coincidentally, has been effective for diversionary reasons on team missions.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Okay, my turn:

Psyber started life as your stereotypical geek. Loved roleplaying, videogames (before they were cool) and was programming his Commodore Vic 20 when he was six. Always the braniac, and always getting picked on and teased, even bullied a number of times. This all came to a head in his senior year in high school when the principal (a former coach for the school's football team) belittled and mocked the schools state champion Mathlete team out of frustration for the poor showing the school's football team had that season. He stripped the Mathlete's of their Lettermen Sweaters and publicly insulted them as "Nothing like TRUE athletes" in front of the school. Psyber (whose real name is being withheld due to secret identity issues) swore revenge. Over the next 20 years he stewed and plotted, tinkered and toiled. Until finally he did it! After long hours of research and development his patented "Brain Ray" was completed. Now, you might think this ray makes you smarter. Oh no. He knew better than that. No matter how smart you get the jocks and the cool kids would always pick on you. What this ray does is set your PHYSICAL attributes based upon your MENTAL attributes. So if your a complete moron? Weak as a kitten. The Blonde Bimbo's who laughed and teased him can't even stand up they are so weak. And all the geeks and nerds and intellectual types have super strength (He "convinced" Steven Hawking to play guinea pig and laughed with glee when the new and improved "Hawk-man" easily picked up a nearby bus and literally THREW it across town.) He has joined up with the Poster-men to obtain funding for modifications to the device to allow it to become powerful enough to blanket the whole world, so that geeks can FINALLY RULE!!!!

(Oh, and for those of you questioning the name Psyber, puh-lease, only a moron picks a name that tells you what his powers are

Yeah, but that's all it will take for us to rule the world!!! (The rest of them will soon be sorry once we take over this planet and they realize they are too late to get any of the spoils.) Anyway this fiasco was my idea, so Badger, I'm leaving the next one up to you!

Sandman

This is the one who put you to sleep. And most of the time you wake up to find money or valuables missing or even the bank robbed. Most of the time. Some people however never wake up. Or go to sleep and vanish. All curtesy of The Sandman. And please don't mention the ECW wrestler of the same name. You might just go to sleep and vanish like Paul Gadrin of San Diego tonight who had mocked the villain on his programme. The Sandman has a variety of disguises or does he have invisibility. Either way he seems to come and go at will. But don't bring up those who can manage without sleep as he will hold it against you.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

His name was John Gunn, Johnny to his friends. He served his country proud in Afghanistan, making the rank of Sgt. He believed in America and he believed in freedom. Until he became the victim of "friendly fire". "Friendly fire", what a joke...

Miscommunication. The drone took out his squad. His superiors called him the lucky one for surviving -- if you could call it that. Arms and legs useless, face burned beyond recognition (thank god for dogtags), trapped in a shell of flesh unable to move or speak. They covered the incident up, blamed it on insurgents, called him a hero -- and promptly ignored him back in the States in an overworked, understaffed VA hospital. The forgotten one.

He wanted to die, but they wouldn't let him. Freedom is only freedom when it fits other people's causes and views, not your own. A silent one, an impotent one, a nameless one...

Until a doctor -- no one's sure who -- decided to take advantage of this helpless one for an experiment. And Sgt. Johnny Gunn found himself able to transcend his miserable, broken body temporarily as an astral shade. And possess others, driving them mad with paranoia or controlling them like puppets. His superiors are getting picked off, one by one... If only Johnny could take over a victim's body permanently and not have to go back to his living corpse to "renew" himself...

Until that happens, this One lives now only for vengeance.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Mike Carmen was a troubled young man. At a very young age he suffered a major trauma, but no one knows what exactly happened to him. He disappeared into the woods for 72 hours at the age of 10, and when he returned he claimed to have no knowledge of where he had been or what had befallen him. According to his parents however he was..... changed by the experience. He began having night terrors where he would wake up screaming and chanting in a strange, unearthly language that made his parents skin crawl. He was sent to several therapists, and was subjected to numerous studies, experiments, and eventually a number of rather untested drugs to try and cure him of his problems. His parents even turned to religion at one point to try and help him, desperate as they were. However nothing worked. This continued for 7 years. Shortly after his 17th birthday Mike found that he no longer experienced the night terrors. They didn't trickle off, they just suddenly stopped. One night he had them, the next he got the first peaceful nights sleep in 7 years. It was a week later that his powers first manifested. Whether they are a latent mutant ability that surfaced in puberty, a side effect of the many drugs he took, or perhaps most disturbing a direct result of what happened in the woods all those years ago is unknown. Now Mike can summon up a manifestation of his terror. Those who witness it often go mad. Even the most steady minded, brave individuals are known to cower in fear or flee in terror when faced with the monstrosity he calls. Mike renamed himself Caller of Ktulu and now uses his ability to do as he please, take what he wants, and sow fear and terror in all those around him. As of yet he has shown no grandiose plans or schemes, content to merely force others to live the nightmare he suffered for so long, and take whatever he wants as he feels is his due. However, more than one of the worlds mystics are beginning to have disturbing visions and vague, undefined feelings of dread that seem to be centered around this boy. They feel he may be the harbinger of some far more sinister threat to humanity......

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The one known as Creeping Death is a mystery. No one knows if it is a person with a mutant ability, a demon, or even a sentient weather phenomenon. What is known is that it takes on the form of fog, and has the ability to either slowly choke or drain the life force from the victim or even either- no one is for sure how it kills. It does seem to have a preference for the first-born and prefers to target them. The speculation is that it likes their "taste"

Master of Puppets

Some say he got the idea from the Fantastic Four villain, others say he got it from voodoo. He crafts simulacrums of people and then makes them do his will. Whether he has made them kill themselves is unknown but he has had them kill others. He has made money by making people give him money. Some say it is a desire to keep going that motivates him rather than greed or a lust for power. But for reasons unknown he does not meddle with the others particularly the One. Beware if you have something you want as you are only a few steps away from him crafting a doll of you and then you are his.

(That is 5 but there are other songs so I say let's keep going)

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

I've got a 2 for 1. (just count as one)

Seek & Destroy

These 2 ne'er-do-wells, never made it far in life......until they made a pact during a voodoo sacrifice. (allegedly).

The slightly built Sleek. Has taken on a supernatural tracking ability. He can track anything, anywhere, anytime. He can track through air, through water, possibly through the vacuum of space. He can evendetect someone's path even if it is years old. Sometimes decades or centuries if the prey has a strong enough aura. He can also has limited flying and underwater breathing to continue the hunt in such enviroments. Sleek isnt much of a fighter, he was always the con man. He can defend himself against a normal. But apart from enhanced speed (to get away) he doesnt have much going for him.

This is where the dim-witted former muscle-for-hire now known as Destroy comes in. Never very bright, but stronger than the average person his age. He was transformed into a truly massive muscle-bound giant of a man. (think Juggernaut, except maybe even bigger). Truly massive strength and constitution, he can even survive the vacuum of space, and seems to be able to go a long while without breathing.

In battle, Seek will usually hide behind Destroy (usually on his back or shoulder) and often direct his slow-witted friend.

They worked for awhile tracking down people hiding out from the mob. But, now they search for something more.
