Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The Torchbearer is a former hero who was granted the power of the Torch of Zu'um Londris. He served in various intergalactic wars and fought valiantly for the Good, but somehow he turned to the Dark Side. Why he joined the ranks of evil remains a mystery.

TB is an 8 feet tall humanoid with four arms, a massive build and red skin. He has control over an almost unlimited source of energy, which he can use to various effects. He was kept in a stasis cell which was damaged during the crash on Earth.

Warning: extremely dangerous

She is known and cursed throughout the galaxies by many names: The Death That Never Sleeps, The Endless Pit of Ravenous Hunger, She Who Kills With Sharp Teeth, The Agony of the White Dwarf. Queen Slotter is a ruthless warlord bent on conquest. She is also a highly competent tactician who is the leader of the Fugitive Five.

She also looks like this...:eg:

New Team: The Order of Sagittarius

Number: 6

Theme: Well, we've had villainous groups of gunmen and bladewielders and barefisted brawlers. Those belonging to the Order are archers. They can range from larcenous Robin Hood types to cold-blooded hunters of the Most Dangerous Game. But they all are proficient in a bow of some type.

The Archer of Love

Some people call him the space baby, some call him the gangster of Love. Picture a cherub like Eros/Cupid with a bow and you have The Archer of Love. Who he is and How he got that way is unknown but he does hate Dr Nymax! although the "good" Doctor says if he had not 'peed her off, it would never have happened'. Some conjecture that the Sybll is behind it all. The Archer seems much too cute to be hurt and even the most psychotic of heroes can't seem to bring themselves to hurt him. He shoots people with these frail looking arrows which inflict their victims with an overwhelming desire for love even though they know it will not be requited. The Archer is a magical flying baby whose magical arrows can even affect his colleagues, a fact that is not lost on any of them. They can go clean through armour, force walls and force fields and even the toughest of all skins.

Looking at that pic, I believe she was homecoming queen at my high school.

Yes, I had to go there :doi:

The Crimson Longbow main schtick are specially designed arrows that can shoot for up to a mile with accuracy. (in effect the team's "sniper", he also has a telescopic eye). The only other standout feature is that he might be the only known being who absolutely loathes The Archer of Love. Though, he will work with the annoying cherub wannabe. Duty first after all.

The Hunted was created when an elk was lethally wounded by an arrow from a hunter. The elk escaped and the hunters lost its trail during a thunderstorm. Where the elk lay down to die it was found by a spirit of nature. The spirit took control of the body, saved its life, reshaped it and now The Hunted looks for prey.

Crackshot

"It's better to be lucky than good!" Crackshot is a dangerous archer, as much to his teammates and himself as his foes. Wielding extraordinary luck rather than skill, he looses arrows in a general direction and relies on chance to strike the best possible point. More often than not, it works in his favor. In fact, he actually fires better when he's not looking. However, his reliance on this method has given him a wild, careless style in everything he does and makes him very, very annoying.

Hmm, perhaps I was hasty on who I should have made as the Longbow's least favorite teammate. :sneaky:

Fawn Tellest is Crooked Arrow, cousin to the famous hero Straight Arrow. She's not the best archer around, but makes up for it with a plethora of gimmicked arrows for any conceivable situation. Her trademark arrow is the infamous "bender arrow" which shoots around corners and avoids walls to attack those behind them. Fawn won't say what drove her to a life of crime, but is noted for giving any loot over basic needs and arrow components to charity.

New Team: The Fey Five! (five members)

The Fair Folk, lovely though they might be to the eye, do not share humanity's moral codes--or sometimes even understand them. The Fey Five pursue the goals of their mysterious masters, often coming into conflict with Earth's heroes. Each member is either a fairy creature themselves or a human that has been touched by the fairies and become something...other.

The Leaping Leprachaun

Bane of heroes and villains everywhere is the fey known as The Leaping Leprachaun. Like Batmite and that goblin that pesters Superman, The Leprauchaun prefers to play games on his victims rather than outright mayhem and death. He can be dismissed by outdancing him. The other way to really upset him is to do the old 'They are after me Lucky Charms' gag. That will get him really upset. He gets on well with the others and gladly assists his team mates.

Cameron Grady is Nemesis. He is the human victim of a changeling exchange. He has come to hate both kinds, his humans for forgetting him, the fairies for stealing him. He has become one of the few humans to master fey magic. From the human world (after a short stint with the IRA after growing up and going to learn of the humans) he learned of explosives. He has learned to combine his kowledges. And has helped bring the group together for his own vengeful desires..

Mr. Stumpy is a troll. And acts as the team's (rather dim-witted) brick.

But, remember to show him respect. Refer to him only as stumpy, and you die.

New team: The Nostradamus Effect (I'm in a make fun of History Channel mood)

5 mystics dedicated to fulfilling the prophecies of Nostradamus. By any means necessary.

How direct do they act? When it says "it will Rain frogs from the sky", do they themself throw the frogs up into the air?

Or would they just make certain that something elses happens that (direct or indirect) causes frogs to rain from the sky?

Also, something about his prophecy technique:

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Well, first off, I figured they would try to fulfill the collective interpretation of the prophecies. And not on a literal level. At least as a general rule. I would say they would generally probably prefer to work behind the scenes, except as a last resort. But, I ultimately prefer to leave that to creator's option. But, they would likely want to work manipulating other groups, orgs, etc.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Nostradama

She claims to be a direct descendent of Nostrdamus and thus she believes it is her destiny to make the prophercies come true at some level or other. Unfortunately she has the mystic clout to back it up. DEMON are certainly interested in her but several covert attempts to entrap her failed. One overt attempt was made but no-one (in DEMON) knows what happened to those that were sent to capture or kill her.

She has enough mystic mastery that no-one knows what she really looks like and she can disguise even her mystical aura. Often no-one will know what she is up to or that even they are being manipulated to act in a particular way to fulfill a prophercy.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Beasts wild with hunger shall cross the rivers:

Most of the fighting shall be close by the Hister,

It shall result in the great one being dragged in an iron cage,

While the German shall be watching over the infant Rhine.

Believers of Nostradamus tend to pull this quatrain out as "proof" of his accuracy, claiming "Hister" as "Hitler". This is, of course, utter nonsense. No, the German occultist and manipulator of ley lines Hister sees this as proof of his own future ascension as world conqueror! The rest of the group tolerates his malarkey due to his power.

Unknown to the rest of the group, Hister is actually over 500 years old, and was actually alive when Nostradamus made his first prophecies. He didn't go by the name Hister back then, but due to his machinations of ley lines he's made himself nearly immortal -- and scrambled his own brains as a result. Hence, he's been a bit distracted when it come to "ascending to power" on his own.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

Someone must be trying to make the prophercies come true but who would make a drama out of a crisis ? That's right ! Nostradrama ! The one member of the group who people are aware of Nostradrama is always trying to make parts of tyhe prophercies come true or reinterpret them. Her French accented English gets heavier the more frustrated and angry she becomes. However she has power enough to protectr herself and minions. Whether she is aware of the others at all is any one's guess.

Re: Create a Villain Theme Team!

The Gray Djinnya is, she claims, a servant of Fate; the prophecies of Nostradamus just happen to be interpretations of the Fate she serves. While the Djinnya has vast magical abilities, most of them are limited by requiring a mortal to make three wishes. Once those wishes are made, however, the Djinnya can interpret them fairly freely to help achieve her own/Fate's goals. One of her most notable victims is Cheer Girl (see the Hero Theme Team thread.) Gray Djinnya has to rely on the other members of the group to move her summoning focus (which changes shape to fit the surroundings) to the proper spot to attract wishers; she's hoping to persuade the Sophia to become one of them.

New Team: The Badmen, Six members.

The Badmen are a tight-knit group of criminals with an Old West flavor, operating primarily in the American Southwest. Despite the name, they do allow women and suitable non-humans (but no more than one of each at a time) but all members must be "bad" people. Their focus is on robbery, rustling, and beating people up, but will kill if it becomes necessary or if they're getting paid.

Cannon is the Fairy Man's arch enemy. His Sword of Artilary and Sign of Power make him a major menace to any who cross him. He hopes to find the other two signs and become the villain of Time.

CES

This does not sound like a Western villain. Was this supposed to be with the Nostradamus team ?

NOTE: I am updating the Create Hero/Villain thread. The Villains are almost done.

Rustler

If it's livestock then he is stealing it. Sheep, cattle, horses, Coy carp, show dogs. All have been stolen by the Rustler. Either for ransom or for profit. He looks like someone out on the range. He is usually armed with a pair of pistols and a rifle. He prefers to ride a horse but can get around in cars, 4 wheel drives, lorries, speedboats and a helicopter. He is not fond of 'people' rustling as that smacks of the Chinese Snakeheads which he hates for reasons that have not been disclosed.
