Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

Time would pass and eventually a dark new hunter would begin to work in Hell's Kitchen. Blind Justice would now be the name of the game. I picture something like a more ranger-esk version of Green Arrow but in the deep red that Murdock is known for.

I really like this one.

I can't find the other threads so I'll do this one and then blog it.

Reed Richards: Attempting to save his room-mate's life, Reed Richard's face was scarred and this made him more shy and reclusive. He watched as his room-mate went on to become the world-famous "Viktor" and chose himself to become the opposite. Using his inventions, he became the unseen protector of the world as mysterious Invisible Man.

Only problem is that Victor wasn't his room-mate, football hero Ben Grim was. Victor was down the hall.

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

Benjamin Grimm' date=' instead of becoming the pilot for an expedition into space, went on a spelunking expedition which discovered an underground world where he had the good fortune to stumble into rescuing Kala, the queen of one of the underworld realms from one of her rivals. He made quite a career out of queen rescuing and tempestuous romance. She declared him her champion, and armed and armoured him with her post-Atlantean technology, but he often found himself stripped down and relying his fists and his guts. Still when surface world heros came down, he ended up getting "Champion" as a pseudonym, even after he finally married Kala and was crowned her consort.[/quote']

So are you changing Ben's back story so he wasn't a test pilot, or just that he decided to go spelunking one day?

Actually, here is a varient on this: Steve Rogers volunteered for the "super soldier" program, but it was only partly successful. It made Steve into a healthy man, with above average stats, but only at the level of "competent" person, not heroic. So Steve was allowed to joint the army, after discharge was hired as in the previous alternate.

Meanwhile, they continued working on the "super soldier" program. The Nazi agent didn't try to steal it yet, because he hoped for it to be perfected first.

So, does it get perfected, and if so, who becomes Captain America?

Flash Thompson follows that milktoast Parker into the science fair and, trying to get a rise out of him, pushes him just as the radioactive spider descends and bites Flash instead. Flash freaks out at the transformation, but Parker, who witnessed it, calms him down. A grateful Flash befriends Parker in secret (what would the other kids think?) but has to give up sports when he seriously injures one of his teammates during a practice which spreads the rumor that Flash is juicing. While going to visit Peter's house, he saves his uncle from a robber. The grateful Parker devises web-spinning devices for Flash who devotes himself to fighting crime as....

Spider-Flash...AHAAAAAAAAA he's save everyone of us!

I kind of see this as "Matt Murdock becomes Hawkeye." :)

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

An idea from me :

What happened if Guido Carosella would be choosen to travel in the space instead of Benjamin Grimm ?

Since he already was a mutant before the travel , the cosmic radiations increased Guido's power to a higher level. Now his heart takes enough kinetic energy to avoid any heart trouble.

Guido was able to lift 50 tons before the travel. But now he can lift 95 tons ( the Thing we know belongs to the class 85 ). So he slightly is weaker than Hulk. But the green giant ever losts his fights against Guido. Even when Hulk's anger increases his strength over the class 100. Why ?

Because Guido can absorb kinetic energy and any kind of radiations (including gamma) for a time limited to 90 seconds. He often becomes green whereas he struggles with Banner. The gamma radiations give him the same powers like his friend. But Guido wins every fight because these radiations regenerate quickly his lethal injuries made by the green giant whereas his body absorbs Hulk's punchs and kicks.

He could go over 90 seconds but he doesn't want a green skin until the end of his life. And he finds his skin enough thick (don't forget he was exposed to cosmic radiations ).

Welcome, purple justice!

So if Reed Richards is the Invisible Man, does he still stop the first Skrull invasion? Or does Viktor or someone else stop it? Or does no one stop it until the Skrulls have thoroughly infiltrated?

I think after the Super Skrull (and I'm still working on what power set he'd have) defects, the Skrull invasion will be nipped in the bud.

Without Professor Xavier, Jean Gray remains trapped in her coma for many years. Eventually the distress of another hospital patient draws her out of her state of withdrawl and she finds herself experiencing the patient's horrible nightmares until she helps her host overcome them. As the Dream Walker, she helps many troubled people as she tries to find her way back to body. Eventually she succeeds, but continues her nocturnal career even as physical therapy slowly restores her ability to walk in the real world.

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

Mary Jane Watson had long wanted to break away and become a big name actress. Despite her party girl persona, she worked hard for this goal until hard work and luck combined to get her a part in a movie run by a big studio. It was a physical part and she worked out, took some martial arts courses, and pestered some stuntmen who were all too happy to help a sexy gutsy redhead learn the ropes.

She also made the aquaintaince of a special effects legend by the name of Quentin Beck. The guy had a real chip on his shoulder, sure his genius was unappreciated, and was arrogant as heck. He also seemed to be up to something. As he considered MJ just "eye candy for the masses", it was no surprise he underestimated her own intelligence. While snooping around his work station, she discovered Beck's plans to use his devices and genius to become a supervillain! Realizing Beck's first act as such would be "revenge" on the studio, the young actress disguised herself with some of Beck's own gear, and found herself foiling his plans and saving lives!

Not only did it feel good to help people, she soon found herself far more famous as a 'superheroine' than she ever could be as an actress. She sexed up the costume, made it more of her own, and looked up some friends who could help her master the technical stuff. Now, Mary Jane Watson plays the role of a life time, the mistress of mist, the queen of confusion, the woman known only to the world as Mysteria!

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

Excellent. I think I'll keep her.

Created to have the combined powers of all of the members of Gamma Force, meaning super strength, invulnerability, flight, the power to shoot energy blasts, energy absorption, expanded senses and telekinesis, plus his own powers of shapeshifting and hypnosis, Kl'rt the "Super-Skrull" was sent to try to eliminate them after their mentor, Doctor Bruce Banner discovered the existence of Skrull agents on Earth. Not experiencing much success, he was diverted mission to discover why the Kree had sent an agent named Mar-Vell to Earth. Defeating the Kree agent, he went undercover to continue the investigation. There he met Carol Danvers and fell in love. First in order to save her life and then to save her world, he created a new identity for himself as Earth's physically mightiest hero, Captain Wonder!

Doctor Bolivar Trask, realizing that it was insane to build giant robots to hunt mutants when his own children were mutants, instead elected to build a suit of powered armour for himself as Sentinel, the leader of a joint human/mutant superhero team, The Alliance, designed to show that humans and mutants could work together for the common good and that to be human did not mean to be inferior.

Without Professor Xavier, Hank McCoy was forced to go into hiding, eventually ending up as the leader of a bitter society of subterranean social outcasts who supported themselves through crime.

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

In a world where Johnny Storm never became a superhero, he was never there to randomly drop a mysterious vagrant into the river just to find out whether said vagrant could really breathe water. Eventually, though, that nameless and nearly immortal vagrant was arrested by police on trumped up charges to help with their murder clearance rate. In prison while he was never immersed in enough water for his memory and full powers to return, but even the lesser power he recovered from finally taking some showers was more than enough to escape from prison and as Justice, he gathered to himself an army of the poor and outcast who raged against the system and threatened to overthrow it, never remembering the kingdom under the sea he came from.

Re: Alternate Marvel Universe

Black Widow never defected from the Soviet Union, and found herself out of a job after the KGB was reorganized. She became a criminal mastermind known as "Tsarina", in control of the most powerful Mafiya in the new Russia.

Captain Marr-Vell was manuevered into becoming the Herald of Galactus. Much to the disappointment of the Supreme Intelligence he was persuaded by members of Earth's as yet unnamed prestige team (after much punching and noble posturing) that the right thing to do with his position was to try find uninhabited worlds for his employer to consume rather than use Galactus to devastate the Skrull empire. He never met Nitro, never got cancer, and stopped calling himself "Captain".

Gwen Stacy never became interested in chemistry, choosing instead to pursue a career in archaeology. This eventually led to her getting shot by bandits in a newly excavated temple of Khonshu. Brought back by the power of the god, she decided to fight evil as Sailor Moon! No wait. There's a problem with that name.

I always liked the idea of making nick bucky all grown up. he really only has one real power slow aging. so if he was around 25 in world war 2 but looked 13 he would make a ideal spy /wet works agent for the army he would be paired up with steve mostly over the fact steve was morally against some parts of missions but hay if the Nazi are shooting the flag suit the boy can complete the real mission. ......... ok steve Dr. BadCrout has a experimental missile that can kill 1000's stop him you have your orders now go bucky hold back a second. I want Badcrout dead the 100 other missiles he has destroyed and the plans /research brought back to Washington. now go make cap look good and keep your cover

Doctor Erskine decided the key to creating a super soldier was the use of gamma rays, but when a german agent tried to murder him, both of them were exposed to an overdose. Erskine acquired an alter-ego that would take over his body when he grew angry, while his attacker was permanently and monstrously transformed. They became arch-enemies as Doctor Hyde and Herr Shrecken.

Pretty sure it was pointed out that the only words Galactus can consume are those that support life.
