If you weigh 200 lbs on Earth, then you weigh 76 lbs on Mars.  You're not overweight, you're just on the wrong planet.

I liked Suicide Squad. Went with my wife - the first superhero movie she has actually wanted to see in a decade - and she liked it.

I have avoided BvS simply because I know how I want the film to play out and I know the versions of Batman and Superman I need to make that happen. I know it will not. The Superman I know and love is bright, optimistic and intrinsically good. So good that other people dont even need to ask if he is a hero. The Batman I know and love inhabits a dark world without participating in that world. He is dark and grim to the denizens of the underworld which makes others question his position in society but, at the core, he is just as much a hero as Superman. For them to fight there has to be some kind of mismatch of their world views. Batman is not stupid, he can see Superman is a hero just as much as anyone else, he can see that he would never do harm intentionally to anyone else and would try to avoid that harm even at his own expense but he knows that even that kind of hero draws risks. He would not go after Superman because Superman 'might' turn bad but because he represented a threat that Superman was unaware of and incapable of mitigating. Superman would only fight Batman in self-defence and be the one constantly looking to find a way to convince him they were on the same side.

The difference between BvS and SS is that in the former you have two heroes. In the latter you have a squad of villains with, at best, a couple of anti-heroes. They need a different approach.

I fear that Marvel may take Captain America to the same dark place DC took Superman. Both of them should be the shining lights of hope and optimism in their universes.

Trump is no Republican...I believe the panic attacks started for their 'establishment' the second he became the probable candidate.

I just think the fact that he's no politician, he's not establishment, supposedly funded his own campaign and directly appealed to some undercurrent of 'white' anger is actually what the primary process preferred.  He ran Republican because that's where he thought he had the best chance to win.

Given the direction of things, I believe I better bow out myself.  No offense, since I do know you have a lot to handle with this, Simon, but it is getting a little too sensitive for me.

I think she needs to stay away from making fun of him.  In the debates, she needs to go 3 routes.  1.  Hit him on his 'so-called business success' and emasculate him as someone who can 'fix' the economy.  2.  Most importantly, hit him on his knowledge base.  He has proven repeatedly that his world socio-economic and political knowledge is woefully inadequate.  Even on things that are easily accessible current events (like his Brexit Scotland gaff).  3.  Finally, press him on HOW he's going to fix things.  Make him talk specific policy issues and stop letting him get by with his 'slick used car salesman' handwaving statements, "I'll just sit down with people and make deals."  He doesn't want details and minutiae, heck I don't even think he wants to really govern 24-7 like a President has to do.

These things will draw independents and undecideds to her side.  Perhaps they won't agree with all her policies, but it will show that Trump is completely unfit to be a small-town mayor let alone POTUS.

Jason, How will you hold up in a fight scene with Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman?

I played Khal Drogo and Conan.  The first line on my resume says, "Call me if you need asses kicked".  My eyebrows alone could crush Cavill, drive Affleck before me and laugh at the lamentations of the Gadot.
