Never played much DnD though I know of the monk class. Yeah I thought it odd as presented its very Eastern in design and out of place for a Western game. Iirc Oriental DnD says that the monk class could be used with no changes

Sill if you want a monk class, I'm sure there is a way to make it more western in feel. The easiest method would be if you are using Elves, and then this becomes an ancient eleven tradition.

I like settings where the characters and setting are just there.  How did people get powers?  Who cares!  Nobody asks why the toys can all talk and are self aware in Toy Story.  It doesn't matter!

That's why I like and use the original VIPER. I don't like this serpent lantern buiseness. I like that its generic enough and with the rational of any for power, i could justify any varient of Nest. Standard goons? Check. VIPER martial artists/ ninjas? Check. Even if I needed mystics, I could see that too.

Speaking of agent characters, this book would be a good place to include some suggestions / alternate rules for running agents in combat.  I use my own Mass Combat rules, lumping groups of agents into one "character," to streamline combat. I'm sure there are other ways to run agents more efficiently as well.

Then how about going really old-school.  SAT, anyone?

Probably just do it like +15 Strength, not for Lifting, pushing etc.  Adding hand attack feels repetitive to me.

Whoa Sterica how did you get to Wuxia from Eastern Martial Arts? Im just wondering if its ok to have Capt. Japan to have karate. Or would it really break the game to have one PC who when fists with his fists, he uses a strange fighting style from the mysterious East.
