It does not matter if a character is smug or confident or insecure or afraid. What matter is if its done well in the movie. Its all subjective. 
 
I think lot of the apprehension against Cpt Marvel comes from people thinking she will fly into Avengers Endgame as a deus ex machina and one shot Thanos while all the other heroes the fans have grown to love over ten years stand by twiddling their thumbs. 
 
I really doubt that. I am very sure that it will be a cooperative effort from all involved and each one will be an important part of the final victory.

I prefer the term "misogyny", as it's harder to understand and almost sounds cool, even though it's actually worse.

I just found this; I was trying to figure out why I haven't seen Hyperman lately. 
 
We had a long running on and off collaboration over the years. Most notably I've been hosting some characters for him for many years, Hyper-Man's JLA on 350pts Project, and he provided a lot of feedback (and feature requests) for my HD exports. 
 
I never met him face to face, but always had great interactions with him online. He'd also step in from time to time and chill me the fk out when I was getting a little too...well...me in thread wars over the years.
 
It's really saddening to find out that he suffered severe illness and went before his time. I'll definitely miss his input and point of view. I wish his friends and family sympathy.

I wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to see this. It is from a thread in the Hero System Discussion board but I know not everyone here frequents that spot regularly. I know how it hit me, and sad as it is I would still want to know. 
 
HM was a long time resident of these boards. He was a mainstay for many of us, always there, always supportive and friendly. I used to live in his part of the state but I never was able to meet him in person. I never knew quite what to say even earlier in this thread. But I wanted to get a chance to somehow say farewell to a guy I considered a friend even though I never got to shake his hand. When I heard about further brain surgery I pictured what he must be going through, I've seen my dad get such a procedure, but Didn't understand how truly bad it must have been for him.

My public library has refused for nearly 20 years to forgive an overdue fee which came about because their after hours book return was stuffed to overflowing and I refused to leave their books, which I had signed for, sitting on the sidewalk for anyone to take.
 
If I'd been dishonest, I could have stolen 20 books to make room for my books in the return slot and have saved all this hassle.
 
I don't have any idea what level of evil library that counts as. But the libraries of the surrounding communities have an "overdue forgiveness" which eventually kicks in after some number of years.

I tried searching for reviews but all I can find are tweets? How can they have showing for so many people but not a single review among them? 
Is this the future. No reviews just tweets, endless tweets, tweets as far the eye can see..

It's kind of like how some writers have fallen into the habit of favoring Batman over superman, so they hand Superman a HUGE Idiot ball and sometimes make him a government toady or self righteous tool to boot.  It's not showing how great Batman is on his own merit, it's putting superman down so Batman looks more bad ass... if that makes sense.  
 
I agree with you on the latest Star Wars attempts. I maybe one of the few folks on the planet that actually LIKED Rose in Last Jedi, or at least liked her introduction and the outrage she felt at the 'haves' in the galaxy who were profiting on misery. They should totally have stuck with that. But the script gave her the idiot ball, and worse shoves her into love interest NOA niche in a move that felt incredibly abrupt. Don't get me wrong, I could see her and Finn fallilng in love, but it  would have been better if it had spread out over the course of a movie and a half ...smaller steps. Instead she went from this dedicated soldier with some understandable class resentment and  the loss of her sister to "Finn's so Dreamy I can't let him do a noble sacrifice to buy us time " . I don't blame the actress, that's all on the writers and director.  What a waste of a potentially good character.

I like Cap because his patriotism is to the ideals of the nation he represents rather than the nation itself, which is why the recent suggestions he is morally compromised is such a travesty...
