  1. I think that those people who play their car stereos loud enough to entertain the whole state should be locked in acoustically-sealed rooms and forced to listen to the music they hate the most. For hours. At a volume of 11.
  2. I guess that I sit corrected. Good job.
  3. RP, Aurora looks good, but I think that there's just a bit too much lightning around her. Shouldn't that be aimed at her target, instead? Lots of great pics everyone. I wish I had the time to work on my drawing. I haven't tried anything from scratch in over a decade; and even then most of it was on templates. I'm going to attempt to draw some new stuff; and since I have a scanner and tablet I can color it digitally. The pics I recently posted were the old ones recolored on the computer. This is another one I just finished coloring last night. He's the team leader of my first supervillian group: the Sinister Squadron. He's an air-based, flying energy-projector named TYPHOON. (I apologize for the head, I just may wack it off and try again
  4. RP, you must have read my mind... I was just thinking exactly the same thing.
  5. Q: Why didn't you speak up, then? A: Six rabid weasels, a pound of weed, and a violin case.
  6. Here is a pic of my first ever supers character IceStorm. He has Ice/Weather powers. He was from the game that we all know and laugh at, Villians & Vigilantes. No one had shown me the "Way and the Light", that we all know as HERO, yet.
  7. The charsheet pic of NightRay.
  8. Before his origin, Electron’s parents had been killed by terrorists; hence one of his Psych Lims. Later, his wife was killed in front of him during a hostage situation. He had a bit of a mental change, and I redid a couple of his Disad’s and changed his name and costume. Introducing NightRay.
  9. When Electron (and I) realized that he looked just like a comic book character, and had the ability to molecularly rearrange his costume; he did just that. I always liked this next look a lot better.
  10. Well, I'm not gonna catch up with Blue for number of pics posted, but I have a few more to show. These next 4 are of my first, and most played Champions char. He started out in this costume, as Electron, a flying energy-projector. He was a sub-atomic physicist, researching cold fusion. He was radiated when his lab was sabotaged. The costume was a total rip-off of Marvel's Nova character. First try, ya know.
  11. Next is my Cap clone, Shieldsman. A gladiator from an alternate dimension. His specialty was of course the shield. This is another Albert Deschesne template, with felt pen and colored pencils. And HEROWEAPON wins an original, teflon-plated No-Prize. It's being "posted" even as we type.
  12. OK, folks, it's been a quarter since my last pic posting. Time to post another. This is a pic of my most favorite Champs character, Paladin. Typical power-armor hero. There's a No-Prize for anyone who can name what character's picture was used as the basis for this pic.
  13. Well, BC, I guess were a minority of at least 2. I'm a huge comics fan (although I no longer buy the "stuff" that's coming out now, I did collect and read for 15 years) and comics are, first and foremost, a visual medium. If you take away the pics, you have an incomplete novel. In Champions I'm simulating a comic book story. Therefore, I want pics. I want to be able to show the players what the characters, locations, vehicles look like. I use maps and minis as well. If we had holo-technology, I'd use that too. I want to "see" the game. That goes for my gamebooks as well. "Show it too me."
  14. Q: Do you know the name of the new chain of theme parks for vampires? A: No, not if you insist on bringing that with you.
  15. I would rather play if it's a Fantasy HERO game, but GM if we're playing Champions. The fantasy genre is not my forte. I leave that to the 2 "experts" in our group. As a once-avid comic reader (having 27 or so long boxes in my collection) supers are my area of expertise. Also, since our other two GM's don't run Champions, if I want a supers game I have to run it.
  16. Every day is a good day to game. My day is Saturday, so I'll just have to wait until tomorrow evening. Have a great game Z.
  17. I have to agree with E84, the review was very well done. And as far as not having played it, in this case it isn't really relevent. If you had been reviewing a new game system then, yes, you should play it first. You need to see if the rules actually work. With an adventure supplement this isn't the case. Anyone who's ever GMed for a group knows that no matter how you plan the scenario, things will be changed and affected by the players. You covered that when you commented on Allen's inclusion of different options for the different parts of the adventure. You can usually tell when reading the supplement whether it will "flow" properly or not. As far as SoB is concerned, it is an excellent piece of work. The writing, art and maps are all superbly done. I've read it through completely twice (once in playtesting and once since I've purchased it). I can't wait to get the chance to run it. The only problem that I saw was the accidental? omission of the museum map from the PDF. Otherwise a great job by all concerned.
  18. Re: Hey What's this doing on the 2nd page I think it's on page 2 because you're not posting enough pics!! (just kidding) Thrash looks great either way, but I think I like the "shirted" version a bit better. I'm an old school, spandex costume kind of guy. Is it my imagination, or is this Thrash a bit different from the one you had on your site a while ago? I like this version better. Keep up the great work.
  19. Redmenace, Mr. Miller brings up a good point. Was this intentional, or what? Inquiring minds want to know.
  20. Hey 'Cat, As long as you give the original artist credit there's no reason youcan't show your colorized versions. Go for it! P.S. Any SCEPTRE stories, yet ?
  21. Q: What was your favorite line from Tolkien's version of Alice in Wonderland? A: A hoola-hoop, a dozen eggs and a bucket of water.
  22. Q: What was the only thing that the Polish explorer took with him to the desert? A: Jerry Springer, a gerbil, and a 200 lb. block of butter.
  23. Q: Do you have any idea what has happened to all of the quality TV shows? A: Jerry Springer, a gerbil, and a 200 lb. block of butter.
  24. 1) Eurostar, the old and new versions 2) Dr. Destroyer 3) Black Enchantress
  25. Those maps can be found here, courtesy of our very own MisterVimes. Last we heard from him, on this, he was working on a mall. The maps are 6 hex X 6 hex sectionals, including small and large buildings, a park, a parking lot, as well as others. They're jpgs that you can just print and use. Definitely check them out.
