I disagree with both those, actually.
Longevity should be free unless NND Longevity attacks are reasonably frequent (IE, going to come up). Any benefits from living long, such as knowledge, should be bought normally with the "very old" SFX. Even if NNDs are in the equation, 1 point is about all I'd support it costing.
The +2 to Concealment should come with a mandatory purchase of Concealment so it actually works. Or just be replaced with a mandatory purchase of Concealment.

Then there is Melodramia. The realm of Melodrama is much like Earth in the Victorian era, but the world seems more... melodramatic. It is a daily fact that young women (usually from 16-24) are routinely abducted, tied up, and placed in danger, only to be saved in the nick of time by there boyfriends. This is considered a right of passage for young women in this world.
A side effect of this place is, the longer the visitors stay here, the more they start acting like stereotypical heroes, damsels, and villains of a Victorian melodrama play.

Meanwhile in response to being ripped into the cold in the wee morning, and as soon as his eyes adjusted was forced to withstand a flash attack from a thousand cameras. Punxsutawney Phil then went on a spree of ripping off people's faces.
Next year, he will have a Broly (dbz) type power up and destroy the Northeast.

tkdguy reacted to Sundog in What is your favorite sci-fi RPG setting?
I'm working on a setting right now, fairly hard but with a few rubbery elements. Time is 2252, and Earth is anything but a united world. Many of the nations in existence at the beginning of the 21st century still do, but the majority are parts of "Conglomerate States" or Congloms, specifically:
North American Union
Third African Union
European Entente
Oceania
Argentine-Chile Pact
Brazilian Alliance
Unification of Medina
Indian and South Asian Hegemony
plus a number of independents, including Russia and China. Humanity has expanded out and colonised most of Sol system, and one of the three slowboat colonisation arks has reached the inhabitable world around Alpha Centauri (Libertas). However, 50 years ago a combination of Medinan and Indian research teams successfully broke the light barrier, enabling humanity to reach the stars...slowly. The FTL drive allows only a speed of roughly 1LY per day.
I'm looking to create a situation more analogous to the tall ships era, when local commanders and local situation produced local solutions, without necessarily much input from the high command.
