  1. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... ------------ Lynn: "I am SO gonna start doing STUFF!" ------------ "If I wasn't eating taco I would be all over that pie." ------------ GM: "She doesn't have a buttload of unspent XP. One buttcheek's worth, I'll grant you." ------------ "The best part was the disembodied voice saying 'Giggity!'" ------------ AJ: "You know, when PsyClone takes control of your body, you act like a man." ------------ AJ: "We'll sing Poker Face [at Karaoke]" Lynn (ooc): "There's a song called Poke Her Face?" ------------
  2. Re: "Neat" Pictures That is very cool. The only problem is that most of the pictures (even the ones that are images of the actual element) are meaningless or so similar that you can't tell them apart.
  3. Re: Now this is Usable, and I use War of the Worlds a Lot. heh Wow. It's like Crimson Skies meets BattleTech meets Battleship Yamato. I'm so in.
  4. Re: "Neat" Pictures ' THIS is SOOOOO AWESOME!
  5. Re: Can I Run It? http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/intro.aspx This is a wonderful site someone posted a while back. It will test your system against the requirements for a bunch of different games and show how your rig stacks up.
  6. Re: A nore reasonable option Unless it's football-physics. That's real.
  7. Re: Mightygodking does urban fantasy Ohh. It looks to be the same colour under the new schema.
  8. Re: "Neat" Pictures You mean I'm not alone? There was always just something juicey about a nicely loaded Shadow Hawk. I think part of it was that it's weight still gave it some decent speed and it had a nice weapons load (stock) that wasn't too heat intensive, not too ammo intensive and versatile. I DO love a Shadow Hawk!
  9. Re: Mightygodking does urban fantasy Um...ok? Maybe a link or reference?
  10. Re: Self Defense Course I've done a basics martial arts training as enough levels to provide +1 DC. A lot of the self-defense classes focus on "STOMP his instep" type knowledge and situational awareness (most notably not freezing up when confronted) as a foundation as opposed to some kind of actual martial art. The manuevers they are likely to teach are eye-gouges, a simple throw and an escape. You could possibly throw in a more conventional strike (possibly Defensive). That is the basic level you would learn at a community center in a 6-week Self Defense course.
  11. Re: 10 pt CSL Who told you my address? Are you stalking me?
  12. Re: "Neat" Pictures I wish I could read russian so I could figure out what this was.
  13. Re: Of Healing Factors I've also found it very rare to have a Regen character without a bit of extra REC. I like Tasha's take on the rDEF representing a certain amount of instant healing on minor wounds. That's a wonderful SFX.
  14. Re: "Neat" Pictures I've got wood!
  15. Re: "Neat" Pictures OH! I thought the cat had 2 tails!
  16. Re: A nore reasonable option I want!!
  17. Re: Of Healing Factors I'll second that. I tend to go with Regeneration, since REC takes care of the STUN. I tend to use Simplified Healing (Self Only) for Stim Boosts, Healing Potions and Adrenal Pumps (etc).
  18. Re: Complicate the Person Above Narratio's last name is HornBlower and was originally the main character in a series of books, but they editors thought Narratio sounded a little effeminate so they changed the name to Horatio.
  19. Re: suggestions for OHID trigger? Usually street level heroes with lots of guns. Think Punisher or possibly at the north end of things, Daredevil. EDIT: Oh and kind of a gritty, dark, Batmanesque not-unusual-to-end-up-killing-someone.
  20. Re: The Beam limitation? That does bring up a point. I can't tell you the last time I saw someone spread or bounce an attack OR use a power at less than full strength. However we also don't very often run into a combat situation where you would be fighting someone other than another super. If you run into a regular old joe (of the non-GI variety) I could see a lot of situations where you might not want to use the full on 4d6k. I guess this is my fault for not exploring this situation a bit more...and that I plan on rectifying! >8)
  21. Re: Complicate the Person Above tkd stands for Taking Kare of Diapers.
  22. Re: 10 pt CSL Maybe it was under CSL. Try that. It was in 2010 and not too long ago.
