  1. Warp: The Wanderer was just an ordinary youth until the day when the Rain of Fire fell from the sky, decimating his tribe. In his panic he discovered he had a talent to go elsewhere by will alone. His survival and discovery of power were marred, however, due to the fact that he was the only survivor of his tribe. Mourning his people, he vowed that he would uses any gifts he had to protect other people from the ravages of the wild and of brutal men. He now roams wherever his whim takes him, gifted with powers which make him more durable, allow him to summon forces from beyond to strike down enemies, trap opponents where they stand, deflect attacks, and many other talents that he develops through the course of his adventures. Spectrum: The Shining One was once just a man like any other. A brave one though, one of the best hunters of his tribe, he traveled far and wide to find the best quarry possible to feed his people. One day on his travels he encountered a strange black monolith, which spoke to him in a way that did not use words. It also changed him, granting him the ability to soar through the heavens and gave him the powers of the Sun itself. He now uses his new found gifts to protect his tribe from all dangers, be it from nature or other peoples. Mystic: Once just a teller of tales, on one of his many walkabouts the one who would be The Shaman discovered the fetishes of The Great One, who when living was the most powerful of magicians. Realizing from his tales that Men needed to be defended from evil spirits and monsters, he took up the mantle and learned the lessons the Totems and familiar spirits of the departed Great One gave him, so that he could stand against the Dark.
  2. Daniel "Warp" Stone, son of one of the most wealthy and influtential black marketeers on the planet, and probably in the top tier himself, he secretly uses his great resources and mutant power of dimensional manipulation to help the innocents ground down by the corrupt communist regime. Spectrum becomes Comrade Solar, Colonel in the Glorius People's Revolutionary Space Force, and a shining example of the New Soviet Man. Mystic: Practioner of arcane arts officially disdained as backwards superstitions which kept down the masses, he fights a long and lonely war against mystical evil to protect an ungrateful proletariat that would label him an Enemy of The People if they knew of his power and knowledge.
  3. Being a multi-billionaire playboy and philanthropist, Daniel "Warp" Stone could potentially go out with any attactive female on the planet. So I had him get Dependent NPC: Current Girlfriend 8- (Up To Slightly Less Powerful, May have useful noncombat position or skills, Unaware of character's Secret Identity). After all, there's always the possiblity one might hook up with a superhuman, knowingly or unknowingly. Currently he's interested in Cateran, whom he at one of the restaurants at his hotel during a robot attack. He is aware she's a meta, but only knows one of her aliases. She for now is playing the coy and mysterious type, but they seem to have hit it off.
  4. Warp: A multi-billionaire who can literally get to any place on Earth instantly. He has the resources and the organizational ability to put together a decent team. Heck, if all else fails he could have a team built. He does know at least one person who's created an AI through one of his now lost teammates. Spectrum: United States Air Force Colonel with powers to manipulate and generate vast amounts of energy thoughout the EM spectrum. If Uncle Sam is footing the bill, he's up to the challenge of putting together a group of heroes to protect the nation's interests. Mystic: Uses magical power to select supers whose powers and abilities will be needed in the times to come.
  5. We could kill two birds with one stone and try to foist him off on Tesserect (my Hunted/Unwanted Romantic Interest). She's got a 20 Com.
  6. Warp: Hold on a minute. *Teleports away, and then back* Warp: Ok, I've got the warrant. Horus: Warmaster Fielan, Psi-Legionaire, proceed. *The identies are ripped from Telios' mind* Warmaster Fielan: Here are there locations. Starguard: I'll go cure them now. EDIT: Damn, you beat me to it, Chuck.
  7. Daniel Stone, multi-billionaire playboy who secretly is the dimensional manipulating super hero Warp, does what any man would do after awakening to find he's missing that vital bit of his anatomy. He'd freak out and scream in shock. Which then sends the bodyguards his father Franklin Stone (yes, that Franklin Stone) insisted he borrow from him at least temporarily running into the room, guns drawn. Upon seeing that their charge is no where in sight, they would of course attempt to subdue the beautiful woman in his bed, who they did not see come up. By now Warp should have realized the fact that he's not suffering from a maiming but instead has transformed into a female. From there one of two things happen. Either he makes his ego roll and tries to explain the situation calmly, or he panics and ports the hell out of there. If he panics and ports out, there's a chance that he might be mistaken for Tesserect or another metahuman. They would of course assume the worse case scenario that this female has kidnapped their charge. This complicates Daniel's life greatly, as he has to figure out how to explain his whereabouts once he gets a hold of an image inducer and voice modulator to appear and sound like himself. If he explains himself there's a good chance he could convince the bodyguards of the truth by giving them personal information about himself and them. Unless of course they assume the babe in front of him found all of it out by "pillow talk." If they're convinced, he tells them to tell no one. The last thing he needs is the tabloids (Watched By The Media) to get a hold of this. He'll then contact anyone he can think of who could possibly reverse his transformation. Hopefully, he gets cured with the minimum disruption to his personal life. If they don't buy it, he then tries to elude capture without usng his powers. If he makes it, once out of sight of them he teleports to his gadget storage place and picks up an image inducer and voice modulator set to portray himself. Then he ports back to the panic room and emerges looking like his normal self, claiming to have gone in there to avoid the potentially dangerous female stalker that was in his bed. From there he tries to keep his condition secret while trying to find a way to reverse it. Hopefully, he can be cured before it hampers his social life too much.
  8. I've been watching too much Big O During a super villain attack on the Champion's base Wendy is mortally injured. Her wounds are so severe that getting her to a hospital, no matter how fast, would do no good. So Defender tries to save her the only way he has available. He jury-rigs a device that downloads her mind into the base computer. Of course, not wanting to condemn her to a virtual existence forever, he then later on contructs an android body that simulates all the aspects of being human as closely as possible so she can experience and interact with the real world again. Naturally, he decided to give it super attributes to enhance surviveability in the event of a future supervillain attack. Thus, we get R. Wendy Brooks, superpowered maid. EDIT: The above gives one the option of tailoring how much Wendy gets involved in adventures to individual taste. After all, her consciousness is actually in the computer. She's just telepresencing through the android body. So if you want her to not go out much, you limit the interface range the body is capable of, from anywhere to the city to just withing a block of the base. Any farther and she loses contact, causing the body to fall down lifeless.
  9. Hmmm, if you're just going to store stuff that you can pick up, how about buying the Transdimensional advantage for your gate-based "Stretching." That way you could reach into the next dimension over to drop things or pick things up.
  10. Hmmm, you could always buy Detect Invisibility to Danger Sense.
  11. 5) The neuro-interface used to control the power armor is keyed to to the villain's brain patterns. The armor will not respond to anyone else who puts the suit on. 6)The Government has been giving captured power armor to their people. It's just that no one has realized it because they usually give the suits a paint job and general cosmetic overhaul before turning it over to the next government sanctioned wearer.
  12. Warp: Long term adversary for him would probably mean his Hunted, Tesseract (8-, Mildly Punish), who occasionally shows up to harass him because she finds the dimensional fabric in his vicinity pleasant, especially when he uses his powers. He'd investigate to see what's going on. Is she really cured of whatever made her crazy? Is this some new tactic in some sort of plan? Of is it something to do with him? Spectrum: Depends on what his orders are. At the very least he'd try to keep an eye on him in his spare time, or if he's got outstanding warrants approach him and ask he surrender to the authorities. Mystic: Uses his magic to look into the person's heart and see if he means it. And if it's a mystical villain, be wary even if it reveals he does. After all, it could be some sort of magical aura masking. Proteus: Using his ability to shape shift and evolve all sorts of enhanced senses, keep real close tabs on the guy to see if he's on the up and up.
  13. Of course, you could always turn the tables on them and have them beaten by a bunch of villains turned heroes, who are now getting all the acclaim and respect that they used to have.
  14. Ok, I've answered a few of these so I guess it's my turn to posit one. While patrolling or visiting Millenium City you encounter a strange phenomenon. A sudden storm over takes you, one with an errie glowing blue malestorm. Suddenly it engulfs you and everything totally changes. It's now early morning and the sun is just rising over Detroit. That's right, Detroit, not Millenium City. As you look around disoriented, trying to get your bearings, you glimpse a large group of figures flying in. Focusing your attention on them, you immediately recognize them. Members of the Sentinels. Members who have been dead for over a decade. And then you realize what happened. Where you are. More importantly, when you are. A date that would forever be remembered in history. July 23, 1992. Just an hour or so before the Battle of Detroit. What do you do next?
  15. 16. Crouching Viper, Hidden Dragon Elite martial artists all over the world have come under attack by elite Viper operatives and even Dragon Branch members. It appears Viper is intent on maiming or killing as many superhuman level martial artists as possible. What the PC's have yet to find out is that as the Tournament of the Dragon draws nigh Viper plans to have a member of theirs participate, a being genetically engineered in a Viper base located in international territory who's had the skills of some of the best martial artists on the planet programmed into him through RNA Memory Transfer. The attacks on other martial artists served the dual purpose of winnowing the potential competion while gathering new genetic material from them to provide their agent with even more skills to increase his prowess. When the Tournament comes, Viper intends for him to win and then defeat the Death Dragon, thus making the Viper "nation" the new ascendent power of the next century.
  16. Warp: Use his Interceptor Gate to missile deflect all of her incoming shots while the rest of the team goes after her or returns fire. And with one of his fellow Sentinels being an incredibly powerful mentalist and the other having a Cosmic Power Pool with the LOS advantage, the sniper will get pegged back. Spectrum: Vaporizes incoming bullet with a laser beam and then does a Penetrating, No Range Modifier, x5 Maximum Range Flash back at her, and then blasts her repeatedly with an NND (Defense: Safe Environment - High Radiation). Mystic: Magically creates a Force Wall to protect all the innocents. Heal or ressurect person who was shot. Then scry for sniper and then ego blast her into unconsciousness. Proteus: Immediately grow scales (Hardened Armor with the Visible Limitation) and deflect the bullet with my body (Missile Deflect for adjacent hexes. Special effect is heavily armored body getting in the way). Proceed to keep intercepting shots this way while team mates rush to neutralize sniper.
  17. Assuming I'm first on the scene and the rest of the team is otherwise occupied Warp: Being protective of innocents, even if he knew about the robbery he'd prioritize dealing with the rampaging fire elemental first. Judicious use of Ranged Missile Deflection and Teleport, Useable As Attack to keep the brick from hurting others or causing too much damage. As for neutralizing the brick himself, using gates to blast him with water and teleporting into the river should help. If after neutralizing him he tells about his family Warp will try to rescue them. Woe to the diamond thieves if they kill them. That might set off his enranged and get them all sliced up with razor sharp gate edges. Spectrum: Tries to neutralize the brick as quickly as possible to prevent loss of civilian life. Tries an NND (Defense is Life Support: Safe Environment - High Radiation) first. That should most likely work. Mystic: Casts a spell to Drain his fire powers and strength, and then finds out what caused the whole rampage. Then goes to rescue the family. Proteus: Adapts himself so that he has tough armored scales and can spit venom (NND - Defense is Immunity to Neurotoxins). Hopefully that will knock out the brick.
  18. Spectrum: The closest thing he has to an archenemy would be the Mystery Hunted who's an Earth supervillain who wants to extract the secrets of the Progenitors that are currently in Spectrum's subconscious. Likely canidates for that position include Doctor Destroyer, Teleios, and Mechanon. Having a military background which included lessons in tactics and strategy, Colonel Crichton knows when a strategic withdrawl is called for. A massive super battle on prehistoric Earth and the inevitable collateral damage to the surroundings could potentially change the course of history. So it's off into space for Spectrum, and hopefully the villain will follow in pursuit. If Spectrum is lucky the subconscious knowledge in his head will lead him to the Progenitors and they'd be willing to send him and the villain back to the future. If not, unless he can figure out how to use his powers to time travel, it's a game of cat and mouse throughout the galaxy, being as careful as possible to avoid impacting on Earth history, as Spectrum is forced to go back to the present the long way around. Mystic: Since he's a potential Archmage, his archenemy is probably big in mojo as well. Both he and his enemy would know the dangers of time travel and the potential to accidentally negate their existence, so they would most likely call a truce long enough to magically get back to the present. Proteus: His archenemy is whoever created him. Teleios is a likely suspect. Hopefully whoever it is would be amenable to a truce for the purposes of mutual survival. Thanks to being able to adapt to any circumstance, Proteus does fine living in the past. When cavemen are discovered the villain will probably try to exploit them in someway. This will force a renewed conflict, and with the villain separated from most of his resources, Proteus has a good chance of winning. After villain is stopped Proteus will pick out an isolated and geologically stable place and then hibernate his way till the present day.
  19. Warp: Bring along a nuke detector to find the bomb. Then get N-ray goggles so one can see inside of bomb. Teleport the nuclear material out of the bomb. Then port the guy and his now neutralized bomb off the train. Spectrum: Uses his energy manipulation powers and knowledge of physics to neutralize the nuclear material, and then proceed to knock the guy unconscious with an NND. Mystic: Transports guy and nuke to another dimension. Proteus: The old bioadaptive shapeshift into a stealthy organism capable of latching onto and seizing control of his nervous system trick.
  20. Warp: Bring along his portable deep radar imager (N-Ray Vision, OAF) to target him from the outside. After holding an action, use 20" Teleport, Useable As Attack, to noncombat teleport him 40" away from everyone else, then trap him in a spatial distortion bubble (8d6 8 DEF Entangle). If he blows up then all he'll kill is himself. Spectrum: Uses his energy manipulation powers to render himself invisible, and then sneak into the building. Then proceed to render him unconscious with a NND (Defense is Life Support: Safe Environment - High Radiation), and then fly his unconscious body and the bombs strapped to him quickly out of there to a deserted quarry where the bomb squad can defuse them at their lesiure. Mystic: Casts a spell which totally transforms all his explosives to chocolate, and then teleport him out onto the street. Let the cops take it from there. Proteus: Uses bioadaptive shapechanging powers to infiltrate museum and then get close to the guy. Then turn into a goa'uld symbiote and take control of him, using his own skills and memories to disarm the bombs.
  21. Warp: Being a billionaire playboy, the person he'd be going at with at the time is likely someone rich and famous. So the revelation would be doubly surprising. "Cameron Diaz?!" That said, he'd keep enough of his wits about him to try to capture her and turn her into the authorities. Then he'd try to visit her in jail in his Secret ID and ask what the hell is going on. Spectrum: Doesn't have a wife or girlfriend currently, but if he did he'd still try to subdue her and turn her in. He takes his duties as an Air Force Officer and government sponsored super hero seriously. Mystic: Will try to subdue her and then use magic to determine whether it's really her, and if so, had she somehow been ensorcelled to be a villain. Proteus: Doesn't have a girlfriend currently, but if he did wouldn't be as shocked as other people. He's a biodaptive shapeshifter himself, so he's been in these situations before, albeit ususally from the other side.
  22. Warp: The closest thing to an archenemy he has is Tesseract, and she just likes to show up every so often to hang around him and get him to use his powers (She finds the dimensional fabric in his vicinity very pleasant, especially when he uses his powers), no matter what problems this might cause him. Both being dimensional manipulators, Warp would try to convince her to pool their powers in attempt to get back to the future. Time, after all, is just another dimension. Hopefully, he'd be able to convince her to help, and together, after some time learning to coordinate with each other and some good Power: Dimensional Manipulation rolls, would end up back in the present day (with or without possible sidetrips to other eras in history), with a good reason for buying a time travel slot in their multipowers. Will answer for other characters later.
  23. Warp: First will try to figure out whether he slept with her in his Secret ID or his Hero ID. What he does next depends on that. If he slept with her in his Secret ID, then he'd sneak off to the bathroom, teleport to his equipment room, get a tracking device/bug, and port back. If she was still around and sleeping when he got back plant the tracking device/bug on her costume (it's got to be around here somewhere). Then depending on what type of villain she is he'd either wake her up to talk to her to find out what happened last night(and perhaps do other things if she's in the mood) or put his clothes on and sneak out mundanely, prepared to track down and apprehend her later. In Hero ID (the both wearing masks scenario) he'd Instant Change into the rest of his clothes immediately. Then what he'd do depends on the type of villain. If she's the type that tries to avoid harming innocent bystanders then he'd wake her up and ask about last night. He wouldn't try to fight her unless she starts it, and would let her go when she wished to leave (he'd feel sort of bad pounding someone he had just been with the night before). If, on the other hand, she's a casual killer type, he blasts her with an attack while she's still asleep and then traps her in a spatial distortion bubble. Teleports himself and her to team base and asks Psi Legionaire to delve into both of their minds to figure out what happened the night before. Then delivers her to the proper authorities. Of course, there's always the possibility it's Tesseract, who he has as Hunted 8- (More powerful, PC easy to find - Her senses can easily track him, Mildly punish - Spend time in PC's presence and get PC to use powers), who finds the dimensional fabric in his vicinity quite pleasant, especially when he uses his powers. Needless to say, this causes her to show up every so often, no matter what ID he's in, and set up situations that would force him to use his powers. In that case he teleports to his equipment room, gets a sedative, goes back, and injects her. Then takes her to the proper authorities, hoping either they have the means to hold her, or if not, whatever happened last night had satisfied her need to be near him for qute a while. Spectrum: Call the authorities and depending on the type of villain, either wait for her to wake up and only blast her if she attempts to escape, or blasts her with an NND while she sleeps to make sure she stays unconscious and flies her to the authorities himself. Mystic: Uses his magic to determine exactly what happened the night before. Then, depending on the villain, wakes her up and lets her go (and perhaps offers a repeat performance), or incapacitates her and teleports her to the authorities. Proteus: Not only has to figure out what happened the night before, but also has to remember who he was the night before. Ah, the complications of being a bioadaptive shapeshifter. Depending on the villain, he either wakes her up and politely asks her about the night before, or if she's the highly dangerous, casual killer type, adapts his body so it produces a venom that acts as both a sedative and truth serum, then bites her as she sleeps. Proceeds then to question her babbling and unconscious self about last night while waiting for the authorities to arrive to pick her up.
  24. Warp: Would have followed the guy after turning in the mugger. Upon seeing the big collection of guns would be very suspicious. He'd probably go get some surviellance equipment and port a bug into the guy's home to figure out what he's up to. Alternatively, he could get his Deep Radar Imager (For N-Ray Vision), phone in a tip to the cops, and be ready to interfere on their behalf if things get ugly for them. Spectrum: Takes care of the mugger and then confronts the "victim" openly, pointing out that he might not want to remove evidence. It's not like the gun could hurt him if things turned ugly. Mystic: Would probably sense that he's other than mortal if he's mystically powered. Either way, he'd use his magic to look into the guy's past and future to figure out what's going on and what he might do with the gun. Proteus: Takes care of the mugger and then follows the "victim." Thanks to his bioadaptive shapeshifting the guy would have to be a precog to know he's being followed. Upon seeing the guns phones in a tip to the police and then infiltrates the apartement ready to intervene if necessary.
  25. Warp: He'll make the guy a counter-offer to take him with him and offer protection against Viper. If he doesn't take it, then he'll abide by his wishes and knock him out, then try and free his teammates. Also, his Secret ID is now effectively screwed since he was obviously unmasked since this guy recognized him. Being a famous billionaire, this means Viper knows who he is also, and that he might as well make a public announcement to beat them to the punch of exposing it. Good bye Secret ID, hello Public ID. Spectrum: Offers the guy the chance to defect. If not, he knocks him out and tries to rescue his teammates, while broadcasting the Nest's location to his superiors. Mystic: Offers to send the friend to another dimesnion where Viper can't reach him. Then uses his magic to find and free the team. Proteus: Considering the fact that he was raised in an automated lab until a group of superheroes found him, would be wondering how this guy knew him. Knocks him out, but makes note to track him down later and find out what he knows. Goes on to free his teammates.
