  1. Re: Teen Zombies (undead in a teen champions game) Well, here' s a tiny start. Sell off the 2" of Swimming, 2" leaping and maybe 1" of Running. Why does your undead know Romanian? I'm thinking that's another 2 points you can get rid of. So, there's 8 points, which can go into a HtH attack, maybe? EDIT: In the game, is it 30 Active Points, or 30 real points with a higher Active cap? If there's a higher Active Cap, there are always some disads to take (which is very appropriate for a Teen Game).
  2. Re: Teen Zombies (undead in a teen champions game) First, where are you finding the 100pt+ undead from (so I can consider purchasing that for my own Teen Champions game). Instead of summoning human zombies, could you ask the GM to give you a break on undead animals? Like cats and dogs that have been roadkill? Maybe undead rats or bats?
  3. Re: Working on New Constantinople Yeah, who the heck is the mayor? EDIT: And I guess the City Council, since they aren't mentioned. You may want to list the deputy mayor as well (unless there's some nefarious plot where he'll soon become mayor).
  4. Re: Working on New Constantinople Some things I've mentioned to Hermit via PM in his campaign is that (due to NPCs in the game and actions of my PC) I've thought of an idea for a super: A female with duplication powers. Her secret/public (not sure yet) ID is that she's a porn star. (If it's a public ID, she may not be a hero, just a metahuman.) Things I haven't yet revealed (but might as well, now): Screen name is Duplicity. Movies she's been in include: Multiple Orgasms, The Three Amigas, Assault of the Clones, etc.
  5. Re: Foxbat: A place in your campaign? Yes, Foxbat has shown up in a campaign I'm running and in two campaigns I've been a player in (granted, it's the same GM, but that's okay by me). When done right, Foxbat is hilarious, as is his intention for existing. In my own campaign, Foxbat made a simple cameo appearance. I had planned on him doing more, but the game I was a player in had Foxbat show up and I didn't want to overload on him. Like MacArthur to the Phillipines, a well-designed boomerang, or a celebrity leaving a drug clinic, he shall return. For combat, Foxbat has 6d6 of Luck. At the beginning of combat, I roll those dice and count up the total (like Stun). These are the bonus points he gets to use for OCV, DCV, activation and skill rolls, etc. When they're gone, his luck runs out, but usually this isn't the case. As a player, when Foxbat showed up for a combat scenario, only two people went after him, while the others dealt with other things. As a player you know Foxbat's not a serious threat, as a PC, you know Foxbat's not a killer, nor a serious threat, so there's no heroic reason to dogpile him. When I was a PC in a game where Foxbat showed up, after we beat him, GRAB showed up. Since we concentrated on them, Foxbat "somehow escaped." Classic comics stuff, which is what Foxbat lives for.
  6. Re: Introducing Scott Free Press! Hmm... I'll consider looking into it later. The first impression I have isn't coming off that well (though I'm sure the same could be said about me). You'll have to pardon my skepticism though if you say you don't have time for other posts, but respond promptly (and in length) to this thread. However, later this week I will give your site a try to give myself a second impresssion.
  7. Re: Introducing Scott Free Press! Okay, if all six of your posts are on this one thread and all six are simply advertising, then I am not thrilled with helping you out. There are other people on this board that work for other gaming companies and they don't solely do 'buy from us' posts. Why don't you try talking to people or join other thread discussions?

  9. Re: Using Knockback to aim your opponents Hey, hey, hey, it's been answered, twice, now thrice! Thrice I say! Maybe y'all are just subject to my mind control. Hmm... "Dance monkeys, dance!"
  10. Re: Homebrew Organizations Go for "The Portal." Sounds more ominous.
  11. Re: Working on New Constantinople Well...okay.
  12. Re: Working on New Constantinople :sigh: Okay, it's also because The International was the name for the socialist/communist organizations in the 19th & 20th centuries (1st Intl, 2nd Intl, 3rd and 4th as well). With the break-up of the Soviet Union, several displaced members of the Communist Party have gone into the Russian Mafia. Really, you're thinking too much into this. Comics don't necessarily have well-thought out origins for minor villains.
  13. Re: Your personal comic book origins Oh man. That's the story line that got me to stop reading Marvel.

  15. Re: Champions Universe Movie Casting Call Hmm, yeah, I think I can agree on that. But a 'naughty' Sapphire, sort of like Frieda.

  19. Re: A possibly dumb question It's pretty simple. If you have Hero Designer, you can just recreate the characters in 5E format. The points will *usually* (but not always) be higher, and some skills/perks/talents/powers names have changed, or been placed elsewhere, but it's not that difficult. I have a 5E FtF game where I used 4E and earlier modules/adventures. It's not difficult to run them, though generally the 5E PCs will be tougher.
  20. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... From my Teen Champions (Ravenswood Academy) game. The students have just been given a tour of the underground (secret) facility. They are about to return to class and the teacher reminds them of the importance of keeping secret and things about what not to do. Teacher: "Are there any more questions?" Joe: "What's the fastest land animal on earth? "
  21. Re: Champions Universe Movie Casting Call In my opinion: Dr. Destroyer should be done like Darth Vader. One man inside the suit and another doing the voice. I think the voice should be Christopher Lee. Foxbat: Between Mark Hamill and Bruce Campbell. A younger Grace Jones would have done Black Diamond well. I'm thinking Sean Bean for Cheshire Cat.
  22. Re: Quote of the Week from my gaming group... So many errors...brain may explode. (Do you game with Tim?) Other than that, some of those are pretty funny.
  23. Re: Your personal comic book origins Surely you jest. Oh.
  24. Re: Your personal comic book origins
  25. Re: Using Knockback to aim your opponents Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for. But I don't have 5ER, which is why I mentioned FREd, silly.
