  1. I wonder if that would include angels? See, they may not look scary, but a patient could see one and conclude, "They've come to take me to Heaven!"
  2. The striped suit in the costume shop belongs to Beetlejuice.
  3. Here's an idea for Halloween--why have a black cat, when you can have a black chicken?

Censors? No Way! I DEMAND Freedom Of Artistic Expression! Why, the very thought of. . . Wait, what are we talking about?

When your pulp adventurers go into space to investigate the newly discovered Planet X-- this is likely what they'll wear.

  7. I was hoping that Sun Man would get picked up for the Amazing Heroes line, but you know what? This works too.

Here's another boxing image from the pulp era. I wonder if Richard Matheson or Boston Dynamics knows about this. . .

I didn't think it was--I thought it referred to some possible blemish of his career. Not having read the article, I can't speak as to the author's intentions. It could certainly be seen that way--"Many of the truths we cling to," and all that.

  12. ". . .whatever had happened behind the scenes at InfoWars was so bad that Jones would rather take the worst possible outcome in the defamation suits than release documentation."
  13. To be fair, Jayne and Kara Thrace would make a really great couple.
  14. Yes, Fillion is a good actor, but to my knowledge he has not appeared in any Star Trek movie or TV series.
  15. Time to play one of my favorite mind games--recasting movies or TV series with Star Trek actors. Babylon 5 is supposed to have a quarter of a million people living there. A quarter of a million. That's a lot. By contrast, the city of Peoria, Illinois has less than half that many people--yet Peoria has three major hospitals, several major industries (Caterpillar, Archer Daniels Midland, and Komatsu, to name but a few) minor league baseball and hockey teams, affiliate stations for all the major networks--none of which is apparent on Babylon 5. The only shops and stores I've seen on the show were in the Zocalo, which looked to me like a big food court. But aren't there any major stores or industries on Babylon 5? Not even a Buy 'N Large? Then there's the bit back when the original series was being produced, where Straczynski said there would be "no children or cute robots" on Babylon 5. Excuse me? A quarter of a million people, and no one brought their families? How do you build a community without the next generation to whom to pass it along? Are there no schools or playgrounds? Peoria has Bradley University, with over 5000 students. Babylon 5 has--what? Remote learning? Correspondence courses? Hopefully some of this will get addressed in the new series. (There. With any luck, this thread should get back on track.)

  17. That may be from 4th Edition BBB. Hopefully they'll have listed the author credits on the title page.

  21. True, but remember they're just average, everyday suburban folk celebrating Halloween--not full-on cosplayers. I do hope that Olsen and Bettany get Best Actress and Actor Emmys for this show. And if either Kat Dennings or Kathryn Holm could get a Best Supporting Actress, that would be really great, too.
