  1. Holy crap, damn near 7 years! Let's see, what did I say 7 years ago? ... Yeah, that's pretty good.
  2. I assumed it was a base for the characters that you've been building all year. If it could be for someone else, then I vote for their arch enemy, the mad genius _______________!
  3. I could be wrong, but I wonder if elemental transmutation would be possible. Could 1 STR overcome the strong nuclear force? And wouldn't that trigger a massive release of energy, ie an explosion? (which could, of course, be a desirable effect for a super.)
  4. I really don't see how my life could become worse with super duper smarts, so I'm willing to risk it. *swallows NZT pill*
  5. Ok, one power I've often thought would be amazing in real life is Cypher's universal translation. Likewise Forge's intuitive gadgetry. If I can't have super duper intelligence, I'll take a power that mimics it!
  6. I've always been partial to full body morphs, like the Metal Men, Metamorpho, or Sandman.
  7. I think everybody's missing the big issue: just what is patriotic gravity and how does one manipulate it?
  8. Those are good pics, but you should post some with the make-up on, too.
  9. The problem is that they both suffer from "all you have is a hammer" syndrome. They have one solution no matter what the problem is. If I had to choose between the two extremes, I'll go with Superman simply because he doesn't claim absolute authority (discounting non-canon stories, of course) and he wants to use the legal system that the people have put in place. The problem is that sometimes that is a mistake. The Punisher acknowledges that sometimes what he does is the right solution ... if only he didn't think it was always the right solution. "Didn't this guy used to shoot jaywalkers?"
  10. The Hulk is a pretty bad example since he has no skills at all. (I also argue he's not a superhero, but that's a discussion for another day.) I think that the MA is a yes, but it can be represented in so many ways. A lot of the non-fighting types will still have some basic form of self defense training resulting in a minimum of: Breakfall +1 w/ Strike or Block There are too many examples of characters that are completely ignorant of their home cities (either lazy or brand new) to consider AK: City essential IMMO. Likewise, day job skills aren't essential. In fact, I can think of a whole slough of recommended skills, especially for the good, prepared hero, but a lot of rookies blow the curve (which is what makes them interesting). Not very helpful, probably, but I think we should define a certain type or style of hero first. Rookies vs. veterans, self made vs. powered, crime-fighters vs. world savers, etc.
