  1. The good thing about using a mall or an amusement park is they tend to be located outside the main urban areas. You don't want to have a headquarters right in the middle of the city if a huge fight breaks out. Yeah, that looks great in a movie, but realistically it would be disastrous for the population.
  2. Stat A common medical abbreviation for urgent or rush. From the Latin word statim, meaning "immediately." I think that could be a good hero ID for speedster hero that works as a paramedic or a healthcare worker.
  3. And the Galadorians created Rom's Neutralizer weapon that could nullify any type of energy, even magical energy. http://marvel.wikia.com/wiki/Rom%27s_Neutralizer
  4. How about... Blue Justice Or Azure Knight (Azure being another word 'Blue')
  5. Re: What If: You were the world's 1st superhuman? Well the first thing I would do upon discovering my powers is not do anything. At least not immediately. I would need to plan first. If I have an Eidetic memory, then I would take advantage of that and study and memorize multiple languages. I would then study world politics and the various differences that cause wars and clashes of ideologies. I would also be taking time to hone my physical powers and testing their limits. If I could lift a tractor from the get-go, then it would stand to reason that working out my muscles with strength training I could lift even more than that. And may even increase my durability and endurance. After sharpening my mind and body to their peak, I would then publicly reveal my existence. I would tell the news media that my intentions are to strive for truth, justice, and world peace. I will use my powers to help people who are sick or starving, stop wars, and defeat terrorism. I would make it clear that I am not a representative of any world government, and that no imaginary border can stop me from accomplishing my goals. I would call myself 'Supraman'. (To avoid any potential lawsuits by DC Comics)
  6. Re: Time travel in the Marvel Universe
  7. Re: Time travel in the Marvel Universe Reed Richards has built time machines. Dr. Strange can time travel. And the Black Panther I believe is still in possession of "King Solomon's Frogs" (A pair of brass frogs which enable their owner to time travel)
  8. Re: Need some name help: French Supers How about Forte. Which means 'strength'. It would be a good name for a brick type.
  9. Re: Storn's Art & Characters thread. Ooh! I like that! He's like a Ninja with a playing card motif! Very original.
  10. Re: Superman To Lead Avengers No one needs to worry. Superman is not going anywhere. Time-Warner will cut a deal with the Siegels.
  11. Re: Name that flag-suited hero! I always liked 'Liberator'. Simple, and it sounds kinda iconic.
  12. Re: In the Company of Strangers (story) *Gets popcorn, and finds a seat up front*
  13. Re: S.H.A.R.D. - Super Hero Acronym Resource Directory D.E.F.E.N.D = Department of Espionage For Enforcement of National Defense. A SHIELD analogue. This one is just for fun... All-American Allied Association for the Additional Allocation And Advancement of Acronyms. (AAAAAAAAA)
  14. Re: Count Nefaria (Marvel, Work in Progress) Isn't Nefaria vulnerable to having his ionic energy drained?
  15. Re: Captain Ultra I always thought they should use Captain Ultra as a funny parable on The Sentry.
  16. Re: What were: the best Marvel titles of the 80's? Rom Rocked! I think it was Bill Mantlo's best Marvel work. (God bless him)
  17. Re: What were the best Superhero comics of the 90's? Pretty much anything by Valiant.
  18. Re: "Open-Source" superhero names There's 'Ultraman'. The Japan tv show hero, the Crime Syndicate of Amerika member, and I believe there was a Golden Age hero that went by that name too.
  19. Re: New Superhero Movie: Hancock The trailer is also on YouTube for those that don't have the Quicktime player option. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmQKwDeCGUk
  20. Re: The ol' name game Metagens Metahuman Generation.
  21. Re: Are all the good names really takes? Giant names... Apex, Vertex. (Meaning, the peak of a mountain) Megalith. (Meaning, a stone of great size and dimension) Antaeus. (A mythological giant that Hercules battled)
  22. Re: Cap is dead!!!! I agree with you. The cynicism here is depressing me. I for one am stoked to see where Brubaker and Marvel are going with this. Yes, they've done "Death of Captain America" stories before, but not with the kind of depth they are going to do with this. The day when we stop letting writers take risks and not letting them tell the stories they want to tell, that is the day the publishers need to quit and close the doors.
  23. Re: Cap is dead!!!! I'm of the opinion that if you're going to do a death, then write it well. I read the issue and it is stunningly well-written. But then Ed Brubaker has been kicking butt on this book since he came on board.
  24. Re: Marvel Femal Martial Artists Hey, Black Widow took out Wonder Man in Contest of Champions II. These ladies ain't to be messed with!
