Beautiful coloring - like the little flairs you are putting in the generic background shapes!
Hotshot definitely looks conceited.

A lot would depend. If the superheroes had a better track record than the government for fighting supervillains, I might go full Libertarian instead. Nevermind the idea I might have a mutant kid in my family who got attacked by a giant robot in the name of 'national security'.
One of my problems with the CW series in the comics (Besides it being awful) was that suddenly the entire population seemed mind wiped from all the times the superheroes had saved the world

OK the poll has Champions Presents slightly in the lead, so I'm going to go with that, starting with the group Spectrum from adventure 1. Champions Presents is a 3-adventure book that covers some great basic comic book type scenarios, and this team is the first group of bad guys faced. Unfortunately I never have had a chance to run the adventures, although they look really solid.
The first one up is Black Bird who really isn't a bad guy at all. He's a fairly good guy who had a terrible experience using his superpowers, so he wants to restrain and control them in the nation. Black Bird is a US Senator.

Truely the most powerful force in any comic-verse.

Yeah the marketing wasn't great, they could have sold it as what it was: great pulp story like Star Wars, but on Mars and more original. Such a great potential property and the film was... kinda boring.

What was especially amazing about John Carter was that apparently none of that fortune went to marketing.

Has anyone posted the Tavor TAR-21?
Israeli gun, 5.56 chamber, smaller than the M-16 and highly rated. It can fire 900 rpm out of a 30 round magazine (out in a hurry at full rock and roll), and it has muzzle velocity of 910 m/s. The Isralis tend to make really rugged guns.

Watched a great documentary called The Wrecking Crew about a super talented group of studio musicians that played... pretty much everything recorded in America for about 30 years. I'm not exaggerating. They were the uncredited backup band for a zillion acts, wrote tons of theme songs, ad jingles, and did the real studio work for many bands from Frank Sinatra to The Beach Boys to Herb Alpert and way beyond.
That doc and 20 Feet From Stardom are a brilliant, amazing glance at basically unknown, underrated talent. This video from 20 Feet... gives a feeling for the incredible talent involved in places you didn't really pay attention to.

So much more awesome than the goth/punk look they ended up with for Wanda in Avengers 2. [sigh]

And the final Challenges for Champions character, Nemo the shark. Not an especially noteworthy shark, except its been bred and trained to be extremely voracious and ill tempered. Even worse than Dr Evil's Sea Bass. I had to tweak him slightly; they didn't reduce his running and he had life support to breathe water, which meant it was fully amphibious, which didn't match the concept or description.

Krystal Blue, who isn't really a bad guy at all but is hunting one in a scenario. She's so guilt shocked if hit by a hero she's even got a vulnerability. How could you?? She started out as faking a hero fight to get media and theatrical agent attention but it went tragically wrong.

Marvel television does seem to be a little more representative of East Asians than their movies, notably Melinda May in Agents of SHIELD. At least we got Helen Cho in Age of Ultron.
But Yinsen and the Mandarin are tricky cases. Keeping the wartime arms-supplier connection for Tony Stark meant moving his origin from Vietnam to Afghanistan, so the ethnic change made sense. As for the Mandarin, I strongly suspect Marvel was concerned over offending and alienating that big Chinese moviegoing revenue stream.

Starhand's description mentions him using his power to cool drinks. For years I couldn't figure out how that was supposed to work. Just recently I realized that he must be using Variable Advantage to give his STR Variable Special Effect. Usually a power will have both, not use one to create the other, so I completely missed it.
