  1. How do you have time to create all these forms/files? Comon man do you ever rest? It seems there is a new one every week. I like them to that is part of the problem one would think with mass production quality would go out the door but it stil seems to be here. KUDOS
  2. I will definitly be byuing this pacage come friday. I love this book and the things in it. (Will it include the "Class Templates" that let you make instant fighter orcs and Wizard Giants?)

  4. Well I have nothing to say that could be considered constructive feed back. But I must say that I do like the character. I think it is funny how much players overlook skills and you seem to have gone all the way on skills with 59 points. (Most players I see are trying to justify why the Rougue only needs five skills and the rest should be on stats.

I trie to create an Energy Vampire once using an idea simmular to this what I did was spent 2 points to give him his VPP and then bought a large Succur that cost lots of END that was fed from a Absorbtion pool. In the end it cast me more to have this elaborate power than just buying the VPP out rite would have. So i decided to change the concept of the poweer around and replaced it with a gross version of Missle Deflection/Reflection. Fire Channeling: Missle Deflection; Any Attack, Reflection Any Target, Derlayed Effect +1/4 Persistant +1/2 (discuraged by the rules), Damagefield +1/2 and only vs. Fire/Heat Attacks -1. Now the problem with this construct is you are breaking two recmendations from the book but I as a GM would allow it. For crying out loud there are even characters from the old books like sanctuary that had Always on Damagefields.
  6. I believe he is talking about a "Recamended" optional rule that prevents a character from taking more than X disadds from one catagory. Although it is not an actual limitation of the game or a solid rule many GM's treat it as if it were.

  8. A character with 1D6 minor transform for 10 points would be considered beyond valuble to a museme in a case like that. I would certanly build it as transform. (Don't forget transform is inharently cumalative and inanimate objects do not heel back from transform.) Although if you wanted your character to become welthy such as selling gold you do need to buy the "Wealthy/Monney" advantege seperatly in HERO
  9. I am not sure if this is the rite place for this one but. Have any of you made an export template for Hero Designer that has less anfasis on the game mechanic cost of powers. Say something that just showes the powers, chaaraceristics and skiklls with out the cost. (could still have the cost in each section just not four columbs for each stat and three numbers for each power. I ask because I feel it cheepens the characters a little.
  10. You are allowed however for a +1/4 advantage to use a Background skill (like KS) instead of a "Power" skill for powers and control.
  11. It is possible it was sleep related. I have had very simular sleep dep syndromes before. Think what the heck and look five times at the same thing and not see what you need only to have friend go it is rite there and whala its there
  12. Actualy I would buy it as two seperate powers both built neerly identical 5 :See Dead; Detect Dead , Sense +2 sight group 5 :Hear Dead; Detect Dead , Sense +2 So 10 points in total. Then i give him a serious hunted he would not like as a character but would love as a player.

For more detail what it did was Actual cost equals base cost pluss Control Cost = 128 80 = Base Cost of Pool 40 = Base Cost of Control X 3 = Base 1 pluss total of all advantages =3 / 2.5 = Base 1 pluss total of all limitations =2.5 = 48 = Final Control Cost I hope this help[s. Some people who use the program forget the rules behind them or they get in a hurry so if you are still confused I will go into more detail.

  17. I agree the change/hand waving in the rules bugs. It removes the inherant balance of the HERO system in order to favor one class over others. Why not just let them have EC that would at least help with anti magic power that could affect EC as a whole often in fantasy games or books. I think it severly gimps the fighters and realy screws the Rouges (the most expensive character type in any HERO game). Now the mage becomes more powerful than the rest of the group and the others are all forced to either be magic users also or suffer.
  18. WOW! Thanks for the update. Looks like you had fun, Did the players enjoy it? You could add a litle flavor and get into the psychy of the other swampies that saw their own friend/family member rended in front of the. Players whould be very understanding and empathetic to the view of the swampies.

(Remeber something drained to 0 body is destroyed and will not regrow or get the body back.)   20. You are probly corect that 10 is to low. however I still believe it is broken. How are the veried rules working in your game? I for got about how much I dislike the new shape Sjiftimg rules that basicly runed my character "Protean" by adding 30 or 40 points to his cost. Even if he did save 4 points on regeneration...
  21. Man I too would be interested I have been looking for a fun game and only had one responce to a Board Post i had. With only two players at the moment it is not even worth getting to gether. (we live more than 40 miles apart ridiculous eh)
  22. Killing attacks... I always thought they should just be purchased as Penetrating or AP attacks. I also like the rules they had from Fuzion (mommy he said a bad word) that for every X stun you also take 1 body. I have been thing about using this as a house rule. Swords and most killing attacks would simply have the AP advantage and Killing attacks with AP or pen. would be EB with Pen. on them. Althou I have not mastered the ideas I am things of here I do like them. The mane thing that keeps me from changing it in my games is that after having gone through a real bad stint of "Over House Rulling" things I am reluctant to house rule anything out side of character creaton. (For my house rule I think 5 for heroic games and 10 for Superheroic games would be the magic number for stun taken to body taken ratio.)
  23. What badger 3 Said I would recamend getting MM&M more than Grimoir myself but thats because MM&M gives scale to the game in the same way CK&K did for champions. Grimoir has things covering such a wide level of power with out any recamendations of what is normal it is harder to stabilize unless you already know what you want. Where as with MM&M you know ok I want thee players to be able to slay orcs and guards but I want giants to cause them fright well lets see... Then you know what level of power you are looking at. (Plus having prefab villians helps a game with concistancy.)
