  1. Is it legal to build a Accesable Foci that provides the always on limitation also?
  2. I would buy it as AoE Radious/selective +1 1/4 then buy AoE 1-hex Accurate +1/2 for a total of +1 3/4. If you read the faq this is allowed.

  4. I thought it was you but I am not sure. Are you the one who created the ER? I am not sure were to add Overall Levels? are they added to everything from DCV to OCV or are they added to some place in particular?

" That is funny as MSHRP was my second RPG and I used to like playing it for all the simplisaty (before that we played dad) I wonder if it tainted my views of the power.
  6. You should post the Char. File I like the idea but don't know if I would make his stats so low or do the V.P.P. options you have. I think the two are both actualy only one power that could be purchased by him. (Of course after having watched the third movie I would give him a small personal V.P.P. or some Aid to reprecent how he starts of casual then goes "Upgrades" and starts fighting as full force.)
  7. You should read "Defense Maunuver" level 4 it is basicly a good start. I would allow the construct but would require it be baught ranged and then I would need a FX from a player that sounded "Genre Apropriate"

In the discription of the deffense powers page 117 is says that a Damage Shield bought linked to an force wall it says he can still use the power at range even though Damage shield is normaly no range. Would it be legal to create a damage field linked to an Entangle in the same way or would I have to buy range as Force wall is a DEF power and Entangle is an ATT power? (I thought of this reading the other DS question)

  11. For my standards double dipping would be an understatement for this guy. Lets look at how much a 30 point limitation should inhibit the character Takes Double Stun From Metal Weapons -30; Vulnerabilaty: Metal Attacks (Verycommon) (X2 Stun) Now he has squeesed -55 points out of freeken orcs

If I create a power with AOE Accurate (+1/2) can I then use that power to target a "Location" thus adding the location penalty to the 3 DCV created for the target or would the power be assumed to always hit center mass? Example: Optiman has an 8D6 EB AOE Accurate (+1/2) 60 points and wants to really make Dr. Devistation pay for having slapped him down like a dog so he decides to shoot him in the "vitals" for -8 or a total of DCV -11. Or does AOE Accurate eliminate the targetting aspect of the power? (As a GM I don't see a problem but before I allowed it I thought to ask.)

  16. Back in the day Kitty Pride had limits to what she could phase through. I am talking about mare than just one power here though I am curious what in general other things people have done to powers to make them more like the way they like them. The Flash and Superman both have desolid powers with limitations as do some others from marvel. (I am a big comic fan and can acknowledge that often these are plot devices however sometimes all a limitation is is a plot device. Howmany people should realy have access to kryptonite and what are the chances of all of them hating Superman?) Yes I can acknowledge my construct is rough and overcomplicated. I personaly never liked the way they seperated EB from killing attacks (I don't know how I would do it better probly just use a sytem like for every 5 or 10 stun you take you loose 1 body) or they seperate Armor/Damage Resistance/Force Field all of which in my mind should be either persistant Defense (PD/ED and Damage Resistance) or end Costing (Force Field). I am just looking for different way people have done it. An EB evn without AP, or Penetrating could be plenty lethal if you took 1 body damage for every 5 or even 10 stun dealt. I am just kindof fishing here.
  17. Lets take a second look at Desolidification. For starters… I do not like and have never liked the all or nothing way that Desolidification works. In a game based on the idea there are no absolutes we are given an absolute. So what I would like to do is show you guys (and ladies for pc sake) how I would like it done. And ask if any of you have done something different with Desolidification and what did you do? Changes: 1) No longer all or nothing instead it is level based like every thing else. 2) Change its classification from “Standard†to “Defense†power. 3) Remove the “Affected By†inherent limitation. 4) Create a damage reducing aspect to the power. 5) Remove the “Stop†from the power and replace it with a “Cautionâ€. 6) Closer to Density Increase in Ideal. Desolidification Defense Power Constant Self With this standard power a character may make him/herself less tangible than normal matter. (I would love to add more but I am lacking in the creativity area.) Every level of Desolidification purchased allows the character to penetrate/pass through denser and denser materials while at the same time moving the character more and more out of phase with the “normal†environment. Game Mechanic Every level of Desolidification give the following cumulative bonuses and penalties. 1) Cost 5 Character Points per 2 rDEF Must be purchased for each type of defense individually (PD, ED, MD, PowD ect…) 2) May pass through 1 DEF objects. 3) Reduces all type damage received by the character by 1 DC per DEF type. 4) Reduces ALL Damage dealt by the character by 1DC this includes Attacks that do the DEF does not protect from. 5) Is not inherently hardened vs Attacks (like AP, Penetrating) Example: Dencitar has a 60 points of Desolidification giving him 12 PD, 12 ED he is shot by Pulsar’s 8D6 AP Lighting Blast Dencitar’s desolidification subtracts 6 DC or 4 AP Dice from the attack before Pulsar Rolls then Pulsar rolls and applies the remaining damage to Dencitars other defenses. Dencitar decides on his action he would like to punch Pulsar with his 7D6 Ego Blast he must now subtract 12 DC from his own Attack doing only 1D6 Stun to Pulsar which me may then apply his defenses to. Now finally Dencitar would like to use his power to walk through a wall of solid steel DEF 10 since he has a 12 vs. PD he may pass through the wall completely uninhibited. However if he were to try to pass through a Vault Door of DEF 19 he would be stopped immediately. As this is over his penetration level of 12 DEF. If a Character buy his Desolidification in such a way as to provide uneven DEF then an objects DEF is still compared to his actual levels of Desolidification not his higher or lower DEF amounts. Example: Ghost buy Desolidification 20 DEF vs. PD 4 DEF vs. ED he is struck by Mondo for 18 DC vs. PD Mondo’s hand goes rite through Ghost he is latter shot by Shocker for 14 DC vs. ED he will take 10 Dice of damage to his other defenses. While floating around he desides to pass through a steel wall with 10 DEF (vs. both PD and ED) since actual levels of Desolidification bought is 12 he may still pass through this object. Cost: 5 Points for a 1 DEF, 2 DC Reduction. Advantages: Armor Piercing, and Reduced END would be common. Penetrating, AVLD, NND and BOECV would be forbidden. Limitations: Many of the common limitations listed under desolidification in the book would be appropriate such as does not protect from damage and cannot pass through solids. This is just a quick out of hand type up so please give advice.
  18. IS it legal to use PSL to offset the penalties for Swwep and Rapid Fire? I ask because based on your answer to my question "Move Through" at http://www.herogames.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3642 I have been disallowing it however I get the impresion from others on the boards and talking to a player I am misunderstanding it. So that they are a valid modifier.

I have read people on multiple time recamend someone take PSL for sweep manuvers but I was under the impresion from my question to Steve that this is not allowed as they are ment to remove range or location type penalties. Not to remove penalties induced by a "Maneuver" such as sweep or rapid fire Have I misunderstood or do you use house rules?   20. I have always built D-Pockets as the Following Bog of Stuff: +X STR; Invisable power effect +1, 0-end +1/2, Persistant +1/2, Nos Not Affect Figured -1/2 Does Not Add To STR -1/4. (Some times I will throw in a only objects that fit in hole limitation or a focus limitation.) I only use EDM when I have bought a base to store things in. As EDM would mean by default that to get to the same place in the pocket diminsion I would have to be in the same place in the real world unless I buy the +5 Adder variable location then to get things back from that Diminsion I would need either summon or Transdiminsional so that I can retrieve things.) I see the construct biult all the time and the way most people build it includes no game mechanic for retrieval. You cannot target something in the other D to bring it back unless you have tran-D addvantage and then you would need a sense that was trans-D. So summons would be ok but then it limits the AP of things you can store instead of the size.

  22. Not true. Any evidence illigly obtaned by the cops would be inadmissable. However if the PC's are licenced PI's or Bondsmen then the laws that affect them are very differnt. A police officer needs an eminent excuse or a warent to cross property lines and search a home a Bail Officer does not he could get a "Tip" that Agent-x is in the building and then cross town and go in the building with out a warent http://www.americanbailcoalition.com/new_html/compendium.htm That is only an example of how releaced people are treated by private industry. I would imagine with the rise or Parahumans there would be dozens of laws both empowering and disabling them. What I would do is have the PC's make a KS: Law roll and if they do warn them before any of the laws are broken.
