Tjack reacted to Duke Bushido in I think I may have stumbled across some potential players
We may have accidentally figured out why your online game isn't getting a lot of keyboard input from the other players!

Tjack got a reaction from drunkonduty in Power Question: Purple Man
Something I don’t think anyone else has mentioned is how much easier it is to build a real monster of a one trick pony. When your not spending points on anything else but Mental Domination, you get REALLY good at it. Especially when as a villain the GM can spend as many points as needed to do it up right.
This is not a slam, it’s just an acknowledgment of the fact that some villains are just going to be Hella good at their job. It’s for the PC’s/Heroes to think and roleplay their way around the problem instead of relying on lots of points in Smash Stuff and metagaming their way around the write-ups.
A character like Purple Man makes my flesh crawl, especially when portrayed as well and as creepily as David Tennant did on the Netflicks series Jessica Jones. But he would be a great recurring character type in a campaign.

Tjack got a reaction from Jhamin in Top Five Fictional Characters to Punch In the Face
Did you ever see the “Lost ending of It’s a Wonderful Life” on SNL? Dana Carvey doing his Jimmy Stewart impression and Jon Lovitz as Potter.
The entire town figures out Potter stole the bank deposit from Uncle Billy and beats the hell out of the evil old bugger. It’s on YouTube.

Our local PBS station is running 12 hours of the first season of Downton Abbey. And I’m getting that feeling for both O’Brian the Lady’s maid and Thomas the footman. They were the black hats for the series although Thomas got a bit of a heel turn later on.

Tjack got a reaction from Certified in 3 Favorite Mix Soundtracks
Neither do as this list is specifically for albums with songs by a number of different performers. The previous list was for single performer or performance (like Live Aid) albums.
BTW; “A Kind of Magic” was supposed to be the Highlander soundtrack but it wasn’t released due to the poor box office of the film. AKoM was only released after the music rights reverted back to Freddie & the boys.
You’re right, but I’m trying not to be a scolding schoolteacher on these.

Tjack reacted to death tribble in Funny Pics II: The Revenge
I actually typed in fennec shand and got that it was Agent May. However the pictures are on at least two Star Wars fan sites. Type in her name and metal bikini.

Ming Na-wen was a Star Wars fan long before she got her current gig. She's rocked more than one Leia look.
BTW here's a fuller-length bikini photo.

Honestly, these look like the ideal extras to the party. We could use more adventurers. After all, the road ahead looks quite woof.

Tjack reacted to archer in Jokes
A man rubbed a lamp and an elegant genie exited from the lamp.
The genie said, “You have released me from my bronze prison, you may now ask me three wishes of your liking”
The man, a clever one indeed, said, “I wish for infinite wishes.”
The genie responded with, “I am afraid that is against the rules.”
The man said, “I thought you could do anything, can’t you?”
The genie let the man know that he could indeed perform that wish, but refused because it would tear society apart
The man said, “Okay then… uhh.. gimme an umbrella,”
The genie, a little confused now, granted his wish.
The man then said, “Now I want you to stick it up your ass.”
The genie shoved the umbrella up his ass and groaned in pain and said, “Okay weirdo, I completed your second wish. What else would you like?”
The man responded with a dark tone to his voice, “Now give me infinite wishes before I make you open the umbrella.”

Maybe, but once you start getting the snarling, the snapping at people and the licking themselves, it’s a distraction at the table.....and the dogs might be trouble too.

Yeah, but players who cosplay at the table generally get kind of weird after a while.

If they’re housebroken, that puts them ahead of some players I’ve known.

Does anyone know how to get hold of these two?

Tjack reacted to death tribble in 3 Favorite Mix Soundtracks
Three from me from various artists
X-Files Fight the Future group soundtrack. There is a soundtrack album as well so do not confuse the two. It has the best mix of Sarah McLachlan's song Black that I have heard. Walking After You by the Foo Fighters is the song for Mulder and Scully. Noel Gallagher's Teotihuacan finishes the album and is on the film over the credits (as is the Foo Fighters track) and works wonderfully. Unmarked Helicopters, The Hunter by Bjork, all the tracks work well.
Playing by Heart soundtrack, Drinking in LA by Bran Van 3000 opens the album, Bonnie Raitt has a track called Lovers Will, you have Porcelain by Moby and Chet Baker doing Everything Happens to Me. I like the whole album.
And Yes both are films with Gillian Anderson in them. Anyone wants to make an issue of it, I'll be waiting outside.
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer soundtrack. A lot of the music turned up in the series. Once you heard the theme you knew that you were going to be entertained, I like the theme by Nerf Herder. Bif Naked appeared in the show performing the track Lucky but I heard it first on the album and liked it. Again I like the whole thing but Four Star Mary and their track Pain which again was in the show as they were the band that Oz was in is really good. As is Wild Horses by the Sundays. This is a cover of the Rolling Stones song and is really good and the version I prefer.

Okay, as promised here’s the other side of the coin. Let’s say you’re looking for backround music for a gathering in the days before I-Pods and all those that came before or since. All you can use is a record player and you want a mix of songs from different artists and groups. What three soundtracks do you put on the turntable? (Previous restrictions and rules apply.)
1) Forrest Gump It’s got a nice selection of tunes from the ‘50’ thru the ‘70’s
2) The Big Chill The same but for the ‘60’s thru the ‘70’s
3) Empire Records And once again for the ‘80’s &’90’s
