Re-reading the Dive for Cover rules has me thinking.

You can Dive to avoid any attack?  Like unlimited OCV is negated by a simple DEX roll at -1?

Not sure I would allow that.

I wonder what the numbers would be for modern movies if the only time and place you could ever see them was during their run in a theater.

Welcome aboard and well done for getting your choice(s) amended for Primary Aspect so quickly

Pick two choices on Friday and then two on Saturday and Sunday.
Most of the rest of us are taking the weekend off as we have already made the requisite choices so only those that have not will be taking the weekend to catch up.

I don't really like that idea, MA is already too good at the current minimum investment level and you'd be opening the door to even lower investments.
If you don't force PCs to keep improving their MA once they start the buy-in then you've told the munchkin that he can get +2 OCV with Strike for 2 points.
But if you do force PCs to keep improving their MA you can get people who are in "XP debt" and thus can't take entirely sensible in-character actions like learning German before the trip to Germany because they're too busy learning Kung Fu.

I'd suggest instead having PCs buy the first half-dozen points as 2 or 3 point CSLs, then once they dunk the 10th XP into it let them swap the whole kit for MA.

Right now a MADC is something like 5 STR, 0 END (+1/2), Only for Martial Maneuvers (-1).  That's significantly more flexible than a HTHA DC which only gets -1/2 and can't be applied to STR things.
I'd be very cautious lowering the price of a MADC because it's already a stupidly good deal, and I'd be equally cautious about adding complexity bloat.

Appearing as an auburn-bearded, broad shouldered man of 40 years and below average height the cheerful Har'Ak ignites the spirit of generosity and good cheer among the weariest of souls.  Whenever the people gather to share a meal and a drink He may appear among them.  Those who are generous with little find their bellies full, hearts light and the weariness of the day cast aside.  In time the appearances of Har'Ak would lead some to tell tales of a folk of master artisans that lived within the mountains.  The greatest among them would be said to be the brewmeisters, though many would doubt such things were ever more than fantastic tales told by friendly drunks.

Har'Ak's care for the people would sometimes manifest in menacing aspect.  Those who took their feasting and drinking to excess would, in the fullness of their folly, occasionally find themselves nose-to-breast with The Dour Man.  A towering brute that would stand between them and those they would harm.  The Dour Man is said to have hands like hammers and those too dim to walk away from trouble often find the truth of it.  To this day many places that serve a meal or drink to strangers keep a club nearby with a fist carved into the business end.  A reminder to all that to disdain hospitality is to risk the Hammer Hand.

You have to pick a Primary Aspect first (I suggest Hearth and Hospitality)

And I don't think Ripe meat off the bone counts as a Fauna/Flora/Ore.  You could drafts goats or some other food animal though.

As the person running it, you can be a major or minor god.
For brevity's sake make three choices to begin with the most important of which will be the name of the God and what domain is their primary one. There are several major ones that have not been requisitioned.
Then select two other choices. See the Initial post of the thread for all the rules.

If you decide to join in the you can select two pics a day thereafter. We are doing it this way to stop someone having a fait accompli i.e. making a lot of choices that others cannot do anything about.

    Right.

That's what the GM is for.  It's his job to go "yeah, that's not going to fly" and either outright nix it or, if he's nice, try and work with you till it's something that's acceptable to both him and the player.

I agree with this.  A lot.

    Things that come to mind:
A large area change environment - Dry Heat - that changes temperature levels and causes REC/END problems.  Maybe even CON rolls at some penalty to avoid stumbling around desiccated at 1/2 DCV (roughly equal to DEX roll or fall on ice sheet).
NND Blasts as he drains the moisture from victims.
Drains vs. STR/CON/END as he withers the heroes.
More severe cases could be a Severe Transform into desiccated husk which he uses to shrivel victims to dust.
Drains vs. BOD against could be used as lethal attacks and ways to collapse wooden structures.

How about an advantage on the attack (AoE 3m radius) that only works when the target dodges.

Conceptually, a high-STR character shouldn't be as bothered by that as a low-STR one.  (And conceptually, why wouldn't such a gravity well CE also affect Leaping?)

    To quote from 6E1:176...

So I'd say that if a character is willing to expend extra END for using his/her STR, he could reduce the movement penalty by, say, 2m per 5 STR.  So a CE reducing Running by 16m could be overcome with, say, having 40+ STR (and spending the 4 END to exert that much STR while Running).

Change Environment vs. Movement can be very powerful.

One of my current players has a gravity well type of CE that reduces run speed by enough that most land-bound enemies are simply glued in place.  Unlike entangle, barrier, or TK there's no real mechanic to break-out.

I frequently have the enemies resorting to leaping after they waste a phase or two trying to move.

Drought is really the time when things don’t work, don’t grow, wither and die.  I would think that he would suit a whole suite of drain, suppress and transformation attacks.

I like CE a lot for this as I've been thinking it over.

One alternative idea that came to mind was a one-way mobile Barrier with the limitations that it only stops AoE attacks and if the attacker makes an attack roll at -X then the barrier fails to stop the attack.  Possibly more mechanically correct, but I think a CE with some GM generosity does the trick.

And in this case - I'm the GM.

Change Environment affects an area, not a Target; but technically yes, the Attacking Character would have to be In The CE Area to be affected; As a GM I would easily be inclined to say this affects things coming into the Area Affected (like missile attacks) as it does characters acting in the area itself.

I wouldn't worry about what the GM can do; a good and fair GM won't just fiat their way around interesting things.

Creating a localized wind field to deflect incoming missile attacks is a really cool idea and effect.
