  2. Re: A Guide To Villainous Motivations I'm just curious how getting rich can be considered "cheesy" as a goal?
  3. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #79 Twilight would track down the Cartoonist and beat him silly till the guy changed him back, as quickly as possible. After all, unless he gets something cool like an anvil arrow due to this mess, then it's very embarrasing!
  4. Re: What would your character do...#78: It's Good To Be King? This is something Twilight would agonise over for days and he would likely drive his mentor, and anybody else who'd listen, nuts asking thier opinion about it. In the end he'd only accept the throne if he was sure if it was the absolute best thing to do for the people of that country and even then he'd be reluctant. He'd probably make a decent ruler, though in his initial days on the throne there'd be attempted coups galore and royal ministers trying to manipulate him right left and center. All my other characters would say no.
  5. Re: What Would You Do?? #76 Twilight stands up, looks around at the unfamiliar settings and all the people giving him strange looks. Notes the medival buildings and lack of anything resembling electrical wires or indoor plumbing or anything at all technological except what he's carrying. "Well, this is gonna suck!" And that's BEFORE he finds out about Kal-Turak.
  6. Re: Ultimate CHS:Teen {or Preteen] Heroes and Villians wanted! I tried joining this game once, but nothing ever seemed to happen. Unless of course I joined the wrong group.
  7. Re: What Would Your Character Do? #73 "Mids you know I really hate it when you get all vague on me, you do know that don't you?" Twilight then rolls his eyes as his mentor gets all dark avenger-y and follows her in the chase for the villain.
  8. Re: What would your character do #~75 Twilight has little patience with such people. He'd take the guy down hard, kill him if neccesary. He certainly wouldn't let the guy stay in power for any longer if he could possibly prevent it.
  9. Re: Would your character... Twilight would say no as he's only sixteen and rather shy besides. He's got enough relationship issues without flashing his bod for some magazine, besides his mentor wouldn't allow it. Actually I think his mentor would flash a VERY dirty look at the interviewer and run him off, preferably without Twilight realising what happened.
  10. Re: What would you character do... These guys are killers and though Twilight will occasionally kill if there's no other choice, he's very against indiscriminate killing like they're doing. In addition to that, they likely remind him far to much of his supervillianous father Mr. Dark. Needless to say he wants to take them down HARD. He'll likely work with his mentor Lady Midnight [essentially a Batman clone, only female] and Knightraven [think Luke Cage's powers with Shang Chi's fighting ability and a flight harness] to rally whatever resistance they can against them, all the while training as hard as he can to bring his own skills up to a high enough level to help out as much as he can.
  11. Re: What Would Your Character #72 (or so) Twilight would be honoured to be asked, especially since he's only about sixteen years old though naturally very talented for his age. However once told his friends were untrustworthy, and bearing in mind Twilight has a HUGE crush on his mentor Lady Midnight and considers Knightraven to be the brother he never had, he would likely turn them down flat without a second thought.
  12. Re: The Ultimate Brick, wacky examples? The examples of in the expaned strength table in the Ultimate Brick are not meant to represent how much the machine indicated in the example can lift, it's an example of what a character with that strength can lift using his STR.
  13. Re: The Ultimate Brick, wacky examples? The expanded strength tables is not about how much those machines can lift or move, it's about how much said objects weigh.
  14. Re: Brainstorming a James Bond campaign Well I see your point there. However, didn't he study at Cambridge before he was recruited by the HMSS? Not sure if that's germaine to the conversation or not, I was just curious.
  15. Re: Brainstorming a James Bond campaign It does make sense though. Why send an agent into a country where he doesn't speak the language? Wouldn't that hamper his effectiveness on the mission? This is of course, just me picking nits.
  16. Re: Brainstorming a James Bond campaign One of the exra-canonical sources gave Bond a degree in Oriental Languages from Cambridge, but I consider it out of character. The movie in question was You Only Live Twice and wasn't that based on the book of the same name? At any rate, it's unlikely Bond wouldn't know any Oriental languages as the British Secret Service would've made sure to teach him how as he might need to be sent into an Oriental country. Just my two cents.

  18. Re: Social Limitation: Legacy
  19. Re: Social Limitation: Legacy Assuming they recognize him. Thus, the die roll for Reputation. The whole point of a legacy character is that he's taking on the legacy of a well known hero, thus people will recognise him because he's wearing the same costume as that hero and might even have similar powers or use the same equipment. Thus reputation is inapprpriate to represent this as there's no chance the hero won't be recognised as anything but the legacy of the famous hero if he's in costume.
  20. Re: Social Limitation: Legacy People constantly thinking you're an inferior version of your parent/grandparent/sibling? Police disrespecting you because they don't feel you live up to the legacy of parent/grandparent/sibling? Public beliving you're a disgrace to the legacy of said parent/grandparent/sibling if you do the slightest thing wrong? See how it's a Social Limitation now?
  21. Re: Does Sapphire bug anyone else? Well I guess if all your agents and such are gonna bust out RKA's all the time then I suppose they would be in trouble, but they'd be fairly ok against average agent's weilding energy weapons designed as EB's wouldn't they?
  22. Re: Does Sapphire bug anyone else?
  23. Re: Spiderman Vs. Firelord See a nice simple explanation. Thanks freakboy.
  24. Re: Spiderman Vs. Firelord All I know is that the Phoenix Force is supposed to be powered by the psyches of everybody in the universe, that's why it's so powerful. Taking that into consideration, it'd be impossible for it to be drained in the manner Chuckster suggests without actually killing a large portion of the universe's population which I'm pretty sure didn't happen in that storyline.
  25. Re: Spiderman Vs. Firelord Especially when they might conflict with what you want to be the truth eh Chuckster? Can't let a little thing like the facts upset your anal retentive world view after all and for the record, it's not I but you who's ignoring everything that doesn't agree with you and you've been doing it for quite awhile in this thread. If you want to point fingers as to why this became like those other threads, perhaps you ought to look in the mirror?
