Greywind got a reaction from Tjack in Random Song Lyrics Thread
Well me and Homer Jones and Big John Talley
Had a big crap game goin' back in the alley
And I kept rollin' them sevens, winnin' all them pots
My luck was so good I could do no wrong
I jest kept on rollin' and controllin' them bones
And finally they jest threw up their hands and said
"When you hot, you hot"
I said "Yeah?"
When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
Put all the money in and let's roll 'em again
When you're hot, you're hot
(La la la la la la la) (La la la la la)
(La la la la la la la, when you're hot, you're hot)
Well, now every time I rolled them dice I'd win
And I was just gettin' ready to roll 'em again
When I heard somethin' behind me
I turned around and there was a big old cop
He said "Hello, boys" and then he gave us a grin 'n' said
"Look like I'm gonna hafta haul you all in
And keep all that money for evidence"
I said, "Well, son when you hot, you hot"
He said "Yeah"
When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
You can 'splain it all down at City Hall
I say, yeah, when you're hot, you're hot
You're hot
(La la la la la la la) (La la la la la)
(La la la la la la la, when you're hot, you're hot)
Well, when he took us inta court I couldn't believe my eyes
The judge was a fishin' buddy that I recognized
I said "Hey, judge, old buddy, old pal"
"I'll pay ya that hundred I owe ya if you'll get me outta this spot"
So he gave my friends a little fine to pay
He turned around and grinned at me and said
"Ninety days, Jerry, when you hot, you hot"
'N' I said "Thanks a lot"
When you're hot, you're hot
And when you're not, you're not
He let my friends go free and throwed the book at me
He said "Well, when you're hot, you're hot"
I said, "Well I'll tell ya one thing judge, old buddy, old pal
If you wasn't wearin' that black robe I'd take out in back of this courthouse
And I'd try a little bit of your honor on
You understand that, you hillbilly?
Who gonna collect my welfare?"
(When you're hot, you're hot)
"Pay for my Cadillac?
Whadda you mean 'contempt of court'?"
(When you're hot, you're hot)
"Judge"
"O Judge!" -

Greywind got a reaction from Amorkca in Snippets
“Scott! What the hell was that?”
“Brad! Don't!” Jenny yelled at him.
Pulsar disappeared his mask. “Honestly? You really want to know what that was, Michaels? That was me having more confidence in Jen than you obviously have.”
“Bullshit! She could have been hurt or killed!”
“In case you missed it, brother mine, he never laid a hand on me. He couldn't touch me! I've been training. Huntress, Tiger, the Hunter. They've all spent time with me in the training room. Which is more than I can say for you!”
Nightwing waved her off. “You don't understand, Jen.”
“What don't I understand? Am I interfering with your grand-standing? I've been going over the records, too. How many times have you knocked yourself out cold, moron?” Jen pulled her mask off. “I stopped needing you to protect me when I was a kid.”
“You're still a kid!”
“And her maturity level is off the charts compared to you.”
“Stay out of it, Scott!”
“Michaels, you started this. You dragged me into it. When your sister decides she's tired of your shit and decides to kick your ass, I'll be the one selling the popcorn. Now if you'll excuse me there are other ladies that need my attention.”

“Yankee Stadium? Really?” Napalm asked with a sneer.
“You challenged. I pick the venue. Seemed fair,” Pulsar said. “You didn't come alone.”
Napalm laughed. “I'm a bad guy. What's a bad guy without his gang.” Several of the Blood Guard shot various looks at Napalm. None of them friendly. “You didn't come alone.”
“I'm not stupid. I didn't expect you to come alone. This isn't my first rodeo.” Pulsar walked out onto the field. Napalm approached. “Time to set the ground rules. First, one on one.”
“Agreed,” Napalm said.
“Second, you and I use no powers. Hand to hand.”
“I can kill you either way. Might be more fun, this way. Agreed.”
Pulsar looked over at the Guard. “No damage to the stadium. We're only borrowing it for an hour or so.”
“Can't promise that,” Napalm replied with a sneer and a laugh.
“Your master holds an interest in the Yankees,” Angelique called across the field.
“Indeed I do,” Anton said, appearing behind the Guard. Napalm's eyes went wide. “No damage to the stadium, Bauer. The game goes on on time.”
“Anything else?” Napalm's voice was strained.
Pulsar smiled behind his mask. “I guess you weren't expecting that.” Several of the Blood Guard moved closer. The Guardians mirrored them. “No one interferes. Either goes down and is no longer capable of fighting, it's over.”
“To the death!”
“I'm not going to kill you, Artie.”
“But I just might kill you.”
“Your overconfidence is endearing. Are we settled, then, on the ground rules?” Napalm nodded. “Good. Lord Darque, I believe your convention allows for champions.”
“Indeed it does,” Anton answered.
“What?” Napalm's mouth went slack. Pulsar grinned.
Pulsar turned back to the Guardians. “Now, it seems to me that just about any of these worthies stand better than an even chance of taking you down.” He started walking the line of his friends. Titania locked eyes with him. Her hands balled into fists. The muscles of her arms tightened. Pulsar gave her a brief, almost imperceptible shake of his head. “As I recall, abusing girls was more your speed.”
Hellfire gave him a worried look. PsiStorm's barrier briefly flickered up, protecting herself and Hellfire. Pulsar lowered his hand, palm down. PsiStorm dropped the wall.
Walking on, Pulsar looked at Nightwing. Nightwing nodded his head. Again, Pulsar shook his head. Instead, he put his hand on Ringer's shoulder. “Will you fight for me?” Ringer nodded and stepped forward.
“What?” Nightwing bellowed. He opened his mouth to say more. Ringer elbowed him in the gut. Hard.

Greywind got a reaction from Lord Liaden in Mutants: Why does this idea work?
Take into account the likes of, say, Magma. When she first came into her powers there was the small issue of volcanoes, magma, and their byproducts.
Everyone knows real superheroes get their powers from their own government science squads, led by scientists from the nation the country is at war with. Or they make their own power armor while stuck in a cave as a hostage by people their nation is at war with.

To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven A time to be born, a time to die
A time to plant, a time to reap
A time to kill, a time to heal
A time to laugh, a time to weep To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven A time to build up, a time to break down
A time to dance, a time to mourn
A time to cast away stones, a time to gather stones together To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven A time of love, a time of hate
A time of war, a time of peace
A time you may embrace, a time to refrain from embracing To everything (turn, turn, turn)
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)
And a time to every purpose, under heaven A time to gain, a time to lose A time to rend, a time to sew
A time for love, a time for hate
A time for peace, I swear it's not too late -

Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
He'll never love you, the way that I love you
'Cause if he did, no no, he wouldn't make you cry
He might be thrillin' baby but a-my love
(My love, my love)
So dog-gone willin', so kiss him
(I wanna see you kiss him, wanna see you kiss him)
Go on and kiss him goodbye, now
Na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Listen to me now
He's never near you to comfort and cheer you
When all those sad tears are fallin' baby from your eyes
He might be thrillin' baby but a-my love
(My love, my love)
So dog-gone willin', so kiss him
(I wanna see you kiss him, I wanna see you kiss him)
Go on and kiss him goodbye, na na na na, na na na
Na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye

Think of me, think of me fondly
When we've said goodbye
Remember me, once in a while
Please promise me you'll try
When you find that once again you long
To take your heart back and be free
If you ever find a moment
Spare a thought for me We never said our love was evergreen
Or as unchanging as the sea
But if you can still remember
Stop and think of me
Think of all the things
We've shared and seen
Don't think about the way
Things might have been Think of me, think of me waking
Silent and resigned
Imagine me trying too hard
To put you from my mind
Recall those days
Look back on all those times
Think of the things we'll never do
There will never be a day
When I won't think of you Can it be, can it be Christine?
Bravo!
Long ago, it seems so long ago
How young and innocent we were
She may not remember me
But I remember her Flowers fade, the fruits of summer fade
They have their season so do we
But please promise me that sometimes
You will think of me -
Greywind got a reaction from Pariah in DC Movies- if at first you don't succeed...
DC can trip over themselves all they want renaming the character since they can't name a book after him. He's still Capt. Marvel.

Which was why Peggy said that he came back in Civil War. Directors carry more weight than screenwriters.
There were no "alternate timelines" until Loki.

Music makes pictures and often tells stories
All of it magic and all of it true
And all of the pictures and all of the stories
All of the magic, the music is you Music makes pictures and often tells stories
All of it magic and all of it true
And all of the pictures and all of the stories
And all of the magic, the music is you

Who needs a dream? Who needs ambition? Who'd be the fool In my position? Once I had dreams Now they're obsessions Hopes became needs Lovers possessions. Then they move in Oh so discreetly Slowly at first Smiling too sweetly I opened doors They walked right through them Called me their friend I hardly knew them. Now I'm where I want to be and who I want to be and doing what I always said I would and yet I feel I haven't won at all. Running for my life and never looking back in case there's someone right behind to shoot me down and say he always knew I'd fall. When the crazy wheel slows down Where will I be? Back where I started. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining Times have been good Fast, entertaining But what's the point If I'm concealing Most of my thoughts All of my feeling. Now I'm where I want to be and who I want to be and doing what I always said I would and yet I feel I haven't won at all. Running for my life and never looking back in case there's someone right behind to shoot me down and say he always knew I'd fall. When the crazy wheel slows down Where will I be? Back where I started.
