  1. These dreams are from the last couple of nights. My memory is a bit vague in some parts, so I'll try to explain them as best I can. Night before last: I was my character from Lord of the Rings Online, fighting the forces of Angmar. One of my allies struck a priestess halfway up a staircase. This turned into a D&D game, and the DM said the priestess took 8 points of damage. She fell to the ground, not as a human would, but like a statue. She landed on her head, so the DM ruled she died from a broken neck. This prompted a discussion on whether that was accurate. I climbed the stairs to where the priestess was standing, looked down, and said falling from this height could definitely result in a broken neck. Then I was with the Fellowship of the Ring, but the characters were from the Rankin/Bass cartoon. I knew I was also a cartoon character even though I didn't take a look at myself. I was swimming down a river and got caught in the current. Frodo and Samwise were also in the water, but they were able to swim to shore, while I continued downstream. I wondered how Legolas and Gimli looked like since I remembered they weren't in the Rankin/Bass cartoon. If that dream sounds wild, here's the next one. Last night: I was walking by some tall grass near a body of water. Crocodiles were present. I couldn't see through the grass, but I could hear some crocodiles eating human corpses. It turns out the crocodiles were shapeshifters who ran a delivery business, and I was supposed to pick up a box of items for someone. One man told the werecrodiles not to keep their customers waiting, so one of them changed to human form and told me to follow him to a small office. This werecreature looked like a young man, tall and thin with dark hair and a condescending grin. He told me he and his friends were going to eat me anyway, and I said I wasn't going to make it easy for them. We prepared to fight. After a bit of trash talking we squared up. I tried to ram the guy with an office chair before using my fists. After we traded a few blows, I took some Knockback, although I didn't feel any pain. I grabbed a chainsaw and turned it on, ready to use it on the werecreature. He retreated to another room filled with long bookshelves, the type you see in a library. Another man, this one human, asked to use the chainsaw and waited by one end of the bookshelves. I decided not to pursue my opponent and risk getting ambushed, so I kept watch. A young foolhardy couple decided it would be fun to hunt the werecrocodile and entered a row of shelves. They immediately ran back out and beat a hasty retreat. I saw the werecreature, now appearing as a portly gray-haired woman. I told her it was useless to resist, but she ran back into the shelves. I went to my ally, only to find the woman had pinned him to the wall, so he couldn't use the chainsaw. I saw some long wooden sticks, too fragile to be an effective weapon, but I tried to stab her in the heart nonetheless....

  3. Last night was a steaming pile of crap that carried over to today and shows no sign of slowing down. If there was a day made for cursing life, the universe, and everything, today was it.

  5. Last night I ate so much fish, I felt ill for a bit. Ironically, I was watching "Airplane!" when it happened.
  6. I can't see much of it anymore. Here's a livestream: You can also use your phone or a camera to snap a photo if you can't see it with your eyes. The glow will be picked up. I set my phone camera to night mode.
  7. The Northern Lights seen from California? I can see some of it from home, although the trees are obscuring much of the view.
  8. Full points for execution and creative thinking!
  9. My youngest sister just had the remainder of her college debts forgiven. Yesterday was my mom's birthday. Good food, good time.
