Can a character purchase the Cannot Be Escaped With Teleportation advantage on his Str or Telekinesis to prevent a teleporter from escaping a grab?

Autofire and Stunning
Hero X is struck 3 times by an 8d6 Autofire attack and takes 9, 8 and 9 points of STUN damage. Hero X has a CON of 25. Is Hero X stunned?

Regeneration
Can Regeneration or Resurrection be placed in a EC? The base power, Healing, costs end. Are these "new" powers that inherently cost no end, or are they treated as Healing and thus eligible to be placed in a EC?

cumulative summon?
Is it possible to use the cumulative advantage with summon? e.g., opening a gate for a demonic invasion--x number of demons come through per phase, up to the cumulative limit...

Weird Desolid question
Thought I had asked this before, but don't remember the answer and is not in the FAQ: Does the F/X of desolid require the item to pass through the character (In example a character dodges out of the way the bullet continues to speed along) or can the F/X stop a projectile? I am trying to create a power similar to the old Superman with his hands on his hips ignoring bullets type of thing, but keep the character playable

Duplication question
I've devised a villain who has the ability to create a duplicate of the hero he's fighting, limited to 4X a day. Question is Duplication, usable as an attack, +1, Loyal to creator +3/4 even close to being legal? If it is would it need range added? I added the loyalty modifier from summon, I had thought of using summon but felt duplication worked better than the original write up. using summon

"Simplified Healing"--STUN or No?
Another seemingly simple question to which I can't find an immediate answer... Can Simplified Healing also heal back STUN in addition to BODY? I'm trying to fashion a character that recovers from damage (STUN and BODY both) in a speedy fashion, so I'd want to exclude the Extra Time limitation (but 0 END Persistent, Self Only would still be fine). I didn't find anything that answers this in FReD or the FAQs. If it's there, I apologize. Thanks in advance!

question on delayed effect
according to the text on delayed effect on pg. 164 of the hero fifth ed. limitations such as gestures, incantation, extra time, ect are completed during the prepsrstion of the power and that the various rolls for activation come at the time of use. On to the questions: 1) can you reverse this order. In effect creating a delayed effect that requires an activation or skill roll in its preperation (such a spell that requires research to compile the correct formulas to prepare a spell). Can you also add gestures, incantations, and other limitations that normally are placed in preparations in the use area of the power. Basically creating a power that requires you t…

A little question for you
Hi folks! For BODY AFFECTING POWERS and SIZE POWERS exist a special advantage, COST END ONLY TO ACTIVATE (+1/4). Is it possible to apply this advantage to other powers too? My intention is to apply that advantage to FORCE FILDS, since I don't want that power to fade away when I'am stunned, but even I don't want it to cost 0 END. Thanks, and excuse me if my english is not so good

Addressing Yamo's concern over Melee Reflection
Is this legal? If not, why not? For 102 Points you can have a character who can reflect virtually any attack except area attacks. For that you would probably need a suppression field against the advantage area affect. I looked up the active points of the BIG GUYS like Dr. Destroyer, Menton, and Takofanes. They went up to 150 active points. This character could handle that. 62 Points (140 active points) +1/4 Naked Modifier: Range Based on Strength: up to 160 Active Points : Damage Shield (+1/2), Continuous (+1), Usable As Attack (+1) (160 Active Points); Limited Power Must be aware of attack (-1/2), Limited Power Only ranged versus initial target in melee …

Acceleration and combat movement
Mr. Long (and anyone else interested): I've been studying the movement rules for a new flying speedster character I've built, and I want to make sure I am getting this right: According to the FREd, p 238: "the total acceleration or deceleration in a Phase is limited to the character's Combat Movement velocity." Or, in other words, my character. with 23" of combat flight can accelerate or decelerate up to 23" while moving in each phase. So, assuming he's moving at full velocity at the beginning of the phase, he can accelerate or decelerate 6" three times plus another up to 5" throughout the phase. When doing a multiple Passing Strike, he can move a fe…

PRE vs EGO only to defend against PRE Attacks?
HERO 5th, page 348 says: "If two Powers (or other game elements) are equally valid ways to create a particular ability, you must use the more expensive of the two." In several published HERO products, I've seen extra PRE bought with a -1 "Only To Defend Against Presence Attacks" Limitation. But isn't this incorrect in light of the rule cited above when EGO with the same Limitation is equally valid in every way and costs twice as much?

Why RKA + No Range? (e.g., Poison)
I'm sure this is an easy one, but I couldn't find an explanation for it. Why are poisons bought as ranged killing attacks with the limitation "No Range"? Or, to put it another way, what has the purchasing character given up in exchange for the -1/2 point break he gets for doing so (when compared to buying an HKA)? Thanks! Ben

Self Only Force Walls
I was reading the FAQ for Powers. In one it says: Q: If a Force Wall covers up to three hex sides per inch, does that mean the minimum size Force Wall needed to form a connecting “dome†or “bubble†is 2â€? A: Yes. In another it says: Q: If a character has a Force Wall that has no increased size (i.e., it covers 1â€), can he still use it to englobe a single target? A: Yes, provided the target is human-sized or smaller. So to create a Self Only FW you only need the base 1" of FW to completely enclose yourself inside the FW? Thanks

Constant Movement on Charges
Hi Steve. This is a followup to the Tunneling question previously. If it is invalid (minus GM Permission) to take INSTANT on a Constant Movement Power, would that by extention make it invalid to take Movement on normal non-constant Charges? So for example, 1 Charge of Flight would not be a valid construct? Thanx!

USPD Stop Time question
Man, you must get tired of hearing about time stopping all the..uh..time. Anyway, the descripion for this Power reads, in part: "He himself [the Power's user] remains immune to this effect, and can take whatever actions he wants to." To take any real action on frozen character, wouldn't the character also require the Transdimensional Advantage for things like STR and Attack Powers? Special effects-wise, it seems like the character really hasn't physically relocated to another dimension at all, so it's not quite, conceptually-speaking, the same as shooting a lightning bolt at a critter on the Elemental Plane of Fire or something. But is that hand-wave strictly l…

Tunnelling that Collapses
Hi Steve, maybe its just late and my brain is too tired to figure this, but: Tunneling is a Constant power. If it is made Instant, from a rules perspective what are the ramifications? Do Tunnels dug by the power instantly collapse? That would seem to trod upon the Fill In Hole Adder. Does nothing happen, making Instant an invalid lim for Tunneling? For that matter what happens if a person with normal Constant Tunneling is knocked out\staggered while Tunneling? Since the power is not Persistent, it shuts off...but what does that mean, exactly? Thanx!

Cost for 2nd TOW on M2 in TUV
In The Ultimate Vehicle, on page 50, there is a description of the M2 Bradley IFV. The TOW missile launcher is listed as costing 52 points. A second launcher is listed but it only costs 5 points. Why is this? Shouldn't it be 48pts with the smaller number of charges than the first one?

Missile Deflection and Autofire
(I'm so glad that FH is done so I can ask questions like these. ) The FAQ says that to Missile Deflect an Autofire attack, you make a roll which depends in part on the number of hits. Later on, the FAQ says that you make a Missile Deflection roll before the Attack Roll has been made (and thus before the number of hits has been established). Is the Autofire ruling a specific exception to this?

Missile Deflection CSLs
According to the FAQ, you can't Limit 2-point Missile Deflection CSLs -- you have to buy them as 5-point CSLs. But (the FAQ says soon after) if you put the Missile Deflection in a Power Framework, then you can limit the 2-point CSLs. Is this correct -- it seems rather unfair to those people who aren't using a Power Framework.

Targeting Darkness on Someone
Can you take a normal Darkness and center it on someone? Then the Darkness will follow where the target goes. Like a silence spell on a Magic User. I assume you have to hit them at their normal DCV. What if the Darkness is no range assuming you are able to touch them? Thanks
