Autofire Explosions
Hello, I've been playing around with designs for vehicle weaponry lately, and I thought an automatic grenade launcher might be nice. Taking a look at the Autofire Advantage, I noticed that Powers with the Area of Effect Advantage are on the list of Powers that require an extra +1 cost for Autofire. Explosion is not on the (explicitly incomplete) list, but is targeted on a hex location in the same manner as Area of Effect, which would seem to make it a power that "does not require a normal Attack Roll". So, as a default rule, does Autofire cost an extra +1 when bought for a power with Explosion?

Multiform and SPD change
A Character has a multiform in with the Limitation "Extra Time: Extra Phase". The "normal" form has a SPD of 3. The alternate form has a SPD of 4. If the changes begins in Seg 12 and is completed in segment 4 (I'm assuming the faster SPD doesn't kick in until the change is complete), what phase does the character act in his new form -- Phase 6 or Phase 9? Inquiring minds and all that, Charlie

Breakout rolls against ego rolls
I have a question about breakout rolls against mental powers. Is there modifiers against them. I've found modifiers to help the rolls but none against. If we're doing it right, after being effected the effected target can ignore/breakout/be uneffected by making a ego roll. A normal starting character's chance is 11-less. Seems a bit easy to ignore a mental attack, if we're doing it right. I have a problem spending large amounts of character points for a power that can be ignored on a 11-less roll by a normal

I have a character with a few compund powers. A HA/PD drain a HA/rPD drain and an EB/ED drain. My questions is. When constructing the power can I say what affects the target first or is there a rules saying what affects the target first (Drains or attacks)

Fun with Dispells
Can you dispell(Or supress) a drain that is effecting someone. Or would you need to target the person who actualy has the power? Ex: Leach drains Str from Strongman. Then Medic shows up, can he use his dispell to cure Strongman?

Who goes first?
I've read the FAQ about this question, but there are still something that I dont' understand: If... a) defensive action that are performed through HELD ACTION and ABORT AN ACTION alway goes first... the point a) is an exception to the rules WHO GOES FIRST on 5e 235... c) the example in 5e 235 involves a conflict between attack action and defensive action... d) the rules in 5e 232 under SEGMENT say that each characters of equal DEX must roll 1d6 to determine who goes first... ...when and how there will be the conflict between attack and defense in the example of WHO GOES FIRST 5e 235 ???

Clarification on Needo's multipower question
Regarding the last question you answered, I'm the player he mentioned, and my actual question was regarding applying limitations to a single slot in the multipower. So lets say our hero GenericMan has a Multipower with a 60 point reserve, and EB, FF, and Flight all in the pool as standard (non fixed/ultra). His FF and Flight are pretty boring, but I want to throw on a few tweaks to the EB, say Double Knockback and Personal Immunity for a total advantage of +1. This would make the EB's active cost be 10/d6 or a maximum of 6d6 if all points in the Multi are put into the EB. Now I want to throw a more powerful EB than that, so I give the power an Activation Roll of 11-,…

Hero Designer & MultiPowers
I received this from one of my players regarding Hero Designer... Lets say I've got a 50 point multipower and I want to put an energy blast in it... OK, 50 points equal a 10d6 EB. If I buy it with the 1/2 END advantage (1/4), I could only have a 8d6. So if I want the original 10d6, I figure I'll take a limitation, right? Wrong. No matter how many limitations you put on the power, the program only recognizes the advantage, so I couldn't have more than a 8d6EB no matter what the limitations. The way Im parsing this right or wrong is that this isnt an effect of a MultiPower. If he makes a 50 point MultiPower he can have as many powers as he wants in…

A Followers question because I suspect I have been doing it wrong
Okay, I think I have been doing some of the calculations wrong on this perk and want to double check that I have been When figureing the cost you have to compare the cost of the follower to the cost of the main character, what number do you use? Do you use the campeign max: In example a standard super hero based on 200+150 you could take up to 350, even if you do not use all 150 points of your disadvantage limit Do you use the actual character: so assuming you only used 125 points of disadvantage in a standard game, up to 325 The cost of the character without the follower included? This creates some funky math BTW...

Invisibility
Can a character purchase Invisibility to Detect and Spatial Awarness (Assume the character has invisibility to sight group as well), No Fringe and thus be invisible to all uses of these two senses in all sense groups, including the Unusual, or would he have to purchase invisibility to each different special effect of Detect or Spatial Awarness in the Unusual Group separetly. (Ex: Invisibility to Detect Magic (3 pts), Invisibility to Detect Life (3 pts), Invisibility to Spatial Awarness: Cosmic Awarness (5 pts) etc.) Hope that made sense, sometimes my brain has trouble communicating with the outside world. Thanks for your time.

How is the Dragon's Tongue arrow built?
I'm trying to reproduce the dragon's tongue arrow from UMA (p. 168) in HD. The book lists the Active Point cost of the arrow as 5. If I buy it as a RKA with the Reduced Endurance (0 END, +1/2) Power Advantage as indicated on p. 173, however, its Active Point cost is 7. So I conclude that it must be bought with Charges, though Recoverable Charges is not listed in its Notes column. The problem is, how many charges? And how do I represent that it needs a bow? (Linked? Or does it need a bow?) I could keep plugging various numbers into HD until the costs matched, but I'd prefer to know the correct method. Thanks very much for any assistance! Cheers, Ben

Invisibility (Again)
Steve, I *thought* that was the intent of the FAQ, but I think in that case it needs to be reworded. Look at this part again: "characters can’t purchase Invisibility to the Unusual Sense Group — to Senses like Danger Sense and Combat Sense that aren’t assigned to a particular Sense Group, in other words" The first part "characters can’t purchase Invisibility to the Unusual Sense Group" is fine, but the second part: "Senses like Danger Sense and Combat Sense that aren’t assigned to a particular Sense Group, in other words" REALLY needs rewording. The way it reads now, it seems to disallow the notion of buying Invisibility against *indivi…

Invisibility Question
Steve, When browsing through the FAQ just now (as I do every so often; there's inevitably SOMETHING I hadn't noticed before) I found this: Q: If a character purchases Invisibility for all Sense Groups, does that mean it’s impossible for anyone to perceive him? A: No. First, of course, there’s the issue of perceiving his fringe (if he has one). Second, and more importantly, since characters can’t purchase Invisibility to the Unusual Sense Group — to Senses like Danger Sense and Combat Sense that aren’t assigned to a particular Sense Group, in other words — it’s not possible to be “absolutely†Invisible. This puzzles me a bit. I kno…

Mental Entangles

Skill Levels As Powers Inspired question
Below you answered a question with an example. The example was essentialy a couple of skills bought as a Focus, raised a question with me If Character A (Who does not have stealth) buys Boots of stealth: Stealth 15- OIF (10 real points, 15 Active) And then character B, who does have Stealth, puts them on what happens? I see three posible out comes: 1) You choose one or the other 2) The boots serve as a complimentary skill roll (Similar to how a computer works) 3) Character must use the focus (Don't think so but it is a possibility)

Multipower Pool Requirements
Steve, I just know that I'm gonna feel stoopid when I ask this, but it's really bugging me. Let's say I'm building Generic Man's Multipower. The MP has three powers (slots in it); an Energy Blast, a Ranged Killing Attack, and Flight for example. Now, I build the EB where it comes out to 60 active points. For the sake of simplicity, we'll say that the others come to 10 active points each, and all are fixed slots. Okay, as I understand MPs, the base pool has to be equal to or greater than the active point total of the power with the highest active point cost. Using the above example, the base pool would be 60 points. So, if Generic Man fires his EB…
