Help Name an Online Superhero Magazine.

Okay, I am back to working on the Champions website I have been threatening to do for a couple of years now.

The format is going to be an Online Magazine featuring the Heroes and Villains from my Campaign.

It took me a while to get here.

The steps were.

Idea One: Website of the Newspaper in my Campaign City (too much work, massive daily updates, or constantly out-of-date pages.)

Idea Two: Monthly Local News Magazine from my Campaign City (only updated monthly, but still needs too much content that I would have to write, that doesn't apply to my campaign.)

Idea Three: Monthly Local "Super Fan" Magazine from my Campaign City.

Ahhhhhh. That's much better. Monthly updates. Campaign Focused Materials. An excuse to put in character write-ups (biographies). Should work fine.

The only problem is Naming the Magazine!

This is where you guys could help.:)

The name of my campaign city is "Capitol City, CA" (hey, I run a four-color campaign. This isn't lazy, it's genre!

And, the campaign is modern, four-color. (Sort of like Astro City, but not nearly as well-developed, and I was doing it that way before I ever heard of A.C.)

So far, I have had brilliant ideas like:

Capitol Capes!

Capitol City Capes!

Mega Monthly! :thumbdown

Surely some, or all, of you can do better than that.

I am looking for something with a somewhat "classic" four-color feel to it.

Like this thing has been in print for years, even though it hasn't.

Thanks in advance,

KA.

Since your looking for something classic, I remember the Marvel fan-mag from my youth...FOOM (Fans Of Ol' Marvel), so how about...

HACC (Hero Admirers of Capital City)

KA, I have to ask...are you a Simpsons fan?

Interesting suggestion.

And, yes, I am a Simpsons fan, why do you ask?

Super'Zine

it's got the 'Zine whic is almost mandatory for a fan made 'zine and it's both about Super Hero's (Super) and the best 'zine out there (again, Super).

I'm sorry to have to break this news to you, ghost-angel, but you were thinking almost exactly along my lines.

NEWSPAPERS...

The Champion ...Seems obvious, I know.

Troubled Times ...Nice double-meaning here

The Scorecard ...Keeping track of the battles and the participants

The Weekly Watcher ...A little nod to Marvel's "Watcher" who never interfered (or Buffy's & Highlander's, who Did interfere).

The Samaritan ...At first I didn't like this one but now it's growing on me.

MAGAZINES...

Uber

Evolution

Prototype

Re: Help Name an Online Superhero Magazine.

Did you steal the name from the Simpsons or was it unintenional?

I don't mean to seem dense, but what name?

(I guess that falls into unintentional.:))

-edit--

D'oh! "Capital City", that name!

No, didn't get this from The Simpsons.

Didn't even think about it at all, really.

It was just the most generic "four color" sounding name for a city I could think of.

In the real world it would be Sacramento, I suppose, but I was going with the whole "Metropolis" "Gotham City" "Central City" kind of thing.

"There's a swingin' town I know called...Capital City..."

I'm a Simpson-obssessed freak...only reason I noticed it. Actually, that is a pretty good Silver Age city name come to think of it. :)

Only In Hero ID

Damn, Storn, if KA doesn't use this, I'm going to steal it.
